“Sophia is super great! Cheddar absolutely adores her and she genuinely cares and takes the time to spend with him. I feel so comfortable knowing that he has her care and affection!”

“I had a great experience with Raymond. Communication was prompt and consistent throughout the entire stay, which gave me peace of mind. He provided regular updates and photos from each visit, and it was clear that my dogs genuinely looked forward to seeing him. Everything went smoothly from start to finish, and I always felt informed about how they were doing. Knowing they were well cared for made being away so much easier. I will absolutely book with him again.”

“Victoria is amazing! She helped us so much by giving us peace of mind so we could enjoy our vacation. She was very professional and communicated with us when needed, and it was clear our pets were well cared for. I will always trust Victoria to care for our pets.”

“Thea has come over once a week for the past 2 school years. She has been absolutely amazing. My dog loves her and I always felt safe with her coming to my home and taking care of my dog. I would one thousand percent recommend Thea! The only reason we won’t be using her in the future is because we’re moving to a different state. Thank you Thea for taking such wonderful care of my baby!”

“Maggie was so wonderful ❤️ She took extra special care of our two precious kit kats 🐈⬛️🐈⬛️ Any time she had any questions or concerns she reached out promptly which was reassuring to know that our babies were getting what they needed. She was also really flexible and accommodating to our schedule when it came to meet and greet and pickup/drop-off of keys 🔑 We cant wait to book with her again 😍”

“Mrs Charlie was amazing with our two dogs. Took them to a dog park for them to stretch their legs and soo many pictures. Also went above and beyond along with taking care of them!”

“When I met her in person she was ten times better than I could have imagined from over the app. Her intake of Blue was very thorough, asking about health history, medications, feeding and bathroom schedule, how he was with other dogs, children, cats, and much more. The only person we will trust to walk our dogs.”

“Brenna was super nice and available on short notice. She spent time with Luca who obviously enjoyed the visit! She also took photos with him and made him feel comfortable. Highly recommend!”

“We were able to travel over the holidays with full peace of mind, as we had to make some quick changes in the beginning and end of our trip, so both the flexibility and availability made it another great rover experience for us and the kitties!”

“Alysha was wonderful! She did daily checking on our kittens while we were on a trip. Her messages and pictures were great and gave me a lot of peace of mind. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Sarah is super sweet, gave great vibes when I met her and my shy kitties immediately were friendly with her. She was super communicative and sent pics of my kitties and was very easy to work with. I definitely will go back to her! Thank you so much Sarah!”

“Lauren has been absolutely AMAZING! She sent detailed reports every visit with pictures and everything! We even forgot to feed our fish and she happily did that for us! This was our first experience with Rover and we were a bit nervous about having someone we don’t know in our home, but I’m so glad we did and chose Lauren! She’s trustable, kind, and LOVES our pups! We will definitely recommend her to everyone and are so happy we found someone to watch our pups!!! ♥️”
“Renee was kind, responsible, flexible, and took great care of our cat! She even offered to come by before the trip to meet him and make sure it was a good fit. Highly recommend Renee!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 9 years old. I grew up with boxers and australian shepherds, but have cared for labs, goldens, pit mixes, and a husky! I trained my rescue husky and managed to help her become a well behaved member of the family. I enjoy walks just as much as the dogs do, and I love to spoil the dogs I care for. I work remote 3 days a week and in-office 2 days a week. I live across the street from my work and have ample time to go home every 3-4 hours to walk/play with your dog! For walks/potty breaks/social visits, I have a lot of flexibility on the days where I work from home. I’m an early riser and love to get a walk in before my day starts. I’m happy to prepare meals in the kitchen if your dog has any special dietary needs (or if you like to feed them whole foods).
About: My best friend is Callisto, my 1.5 year old German Shepherd girl who is firmly in the velociraptor stage of adolescence. I'm experienced with the full spectrum of dog personalities, from ultra-chill couch potatoes to furry, vibrating balls of energy. I grew up with three German Shepherds and two Labradoodles, and I cared for them from puppyhood to their sunset years. I'm ready to meet your friend where they're at, no matter their activity level and needs - we can go for walks or runs, sniff every bush in the park, play ball, practice r+ obedience games, or just snuggle. If your senior takes medicine, I can administer. If your puppy needs extra attention, I'm there. I am not a certified trainer, but I extensively train my dog in obedience to cope with her leash reactivity. We have a big vocabulary of commands, and I would love to bring some of that working fun to you, too! Of course, there's the classics, but I love Touch (boop hand with snout), Center (dog sits between your legs), and Do A Spin. As I have been working with my reactive Shepherd -- and continuing to give her a rich life of runs, walks, and desensitizing exposure while staying under threshold -- you can trust that your pup is in good hands. I currently work an odd schedule: earlyyyy mornings till early afternoon - which gives me the full rest of the day to take care of your furbaby. We can fill our time with lots of fun -- walks, runs, snuggles, games. I like to discuss with you what rules and boundaries you enforce when you are home with your dog so that I can best keep your routine. I also ask about your pet's specific needs and quirks -- the more I know, the better care I can provide.
“Thomas is THE MAN. Great dog sitter, trainer and awesome person, my GSD puppy Groot got taken care of. Groot is a happier dog when I come home. Thomas provided photos and a video of Groot. Straight up awesome. Definitely recommend Thomas to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.”

Allysha went above and beyond on a last minute drop in visit to check in on our kitties after an emergency left them alone for a few days. She was flexible and responded quickly. She took care of the animals and home as if it were her own, even cleaning up a few messes and letting us know our stove light was on. She left a thorough and detailed report and sent lots of photos to ensure our peace of mind. Couldn’t have asked for a better drop in sitter. Would 100% trust her with your animals and home!

Gregory was very responsive and had great communication starting from the beginning of meeting our dog and through the end of the drop in visits for the weekend! Our dog Lola was in a perfectly fine mood upon our return - would definitely recommend for dog care and will definitely be booking in the future if needed! Thanks, Gregory!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
