“Raymond has watched my cats a few times now and he's been wonderful every time! We had a couple of hiccups while we were gone, and he went above and beyond--coming over to make sure the electronic feeder was still working after a power outage and dealing with a water leak in the laundry room. Great communication and always reliable! Oh, and the cats are big fans of him, too.”

About: My name is Taylor, and while i do need some extra income, spending time with dogs is the most ideal way for me. I love all animals and enjoy dogs more than people most likely. I will treat your dog with love and respect and I hope they enjoy me as well so they can be excited if I ever come back to see them again. I'm 31 and I would love to own a dog, but I can barely afford to feed myself so ill have to stick to hanging out with other people's dogs. Dogs are so pure and full of love and joy. There is something about being with a dog out in nature that just makes you think life is wonderful. I have Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off and I have all those days free to spend time with any pets that need it. Any time those days I'm around. I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment, but there is a golf course beside me that has a huge walking trail and I'd love to have a dog to walk with. I also can take them to all kinds of trails or parks around.
“Regan did an amazing job caring for my animals! When a potential vet emergency came up (through no fault of hers), she went above and beyond to make sure my pets were safe and well taken care of. I’m so grateful for her dedication and wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again.”

“Mrs Charlie was amazing with our two dogs. Took them to a dog park for them to stretch their legs and soo many pictures. Also went above and beyond along with taking care of them!”

“We always feel good leaving our highly energetic (read: crazy) cat’s care in Victoria’s hands. She is always happy to stop by to play with him and try to wear him out—and to clean up whatever random mess he’s made tearing something apart. We appreciate that she’s super responsive and communicative and sends us detailed notes, and as a bonus, she takes great photos! We highly recommend Victoria.”

“Rachel did a great job with Nimbus and her check-in recaps always made me feel relieved that Nimbus was well cared for while I was away. I loved getting to see all of the pictures of Nimbus each day playing and getting pets :)”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 9 years old. I grew up with boxers and australian shepherds, but have cared for labs, goldens, pit mixes, and a husky! I trained my rescue husky and managed to help her become a well behaved member of the family. I enjoy walks just as much as the dogs do, and I love to spoil the dogs I care for. I work remote 3 days a week and in-office 2 days a week. I live across the street from my work and have ample time to go home every 3-4 hours to walk/play with your dog! For walks/potty breaks/social visits, I have a lot of flexibility on the days where I work from home. I have a spacious apartment with a couch that I’m happy to share with any furry friends. I’m an early riser and love to get a walk in before my day starts. I’m happy to prepare meals in my kitchen if your dog has any special dietary needs (or if you like to feed them whole foods).
“Elise was so sweet and showed my little Lucy so much love. I was very blessed to have someone so trustful and knowledgeable taking care of my sweet sweet girl.”

“Hannah was so great! We booked with her a few days in advance and she was super flexible with our schedule. She was so kind and made herself available to make sure our puppy wasn't alone for too long throughout the day. She took him on walks and played with him in our yard. As well as sent so many cute update photos! She kept the house clean and kept us thoroughly updated on our puppy and how he was doing. Would 100% recommend.”

“Sarah really cares for animals. I think Sarah realized when I said "You may never see him" was true and he doesn't take to people. She kept him feed & watered & worried about him. She was a sweet heart. She also watered a plant & closed my drapes when it got cold. If you want someone to treat your animals as their own, book Sarah.”

“Maggie was great. She communicated well, sent photos, and kept to the schedule. She stopped in twice per day to clean litter boxes, feed the cats, provide fresh water, and play. Maggie even put treats in a food puzzle to keep the cats entertained long after she left. Maggie is fantastic to work with and we highly recommend her.”

“Brenna was super helpful while I was out of town. She kept me updated on my dog’s digestive issues he was having that began after I left. She went above and beyond to make sure he was cared for in my absence. My dog had an accident between visits and she let me know immediately and provided the necessary care to my home so I came back with one less thing to worry about. This is my second time booking her and I feel even more confident that my dog is in good hands with her.”

“Allysha was absolutely fantastic! One of our pups is a bit more skittish and Allysha was able to get her to open up and made me feel comfortable knowing how well they got along. She provided detailed updates as well as pictures and videos! Definitely made me feel very confident and comfortable leaving my dogs in her care.”

“Jillian was very attentive with our cats. She is adaptable to unexpected situations. She’s good with cats who are shy. Our cats love her, even our shy little one. She’s very responsive and sends lots of updates/pictures. The cats look forward to seeing her . I highly recommend anybody to book Jillian .”

“Lauren has been absolutely AMAZING! She sent detailed reports every visit with pictures and everything! We even forgot to feed our fish and she happily did that for us! This was our first experience with Rover and we were a bit nervous about having someone we don’t know in our home, but I’m so glad we did and chose Lauren! She’s trustable, kind, and LOVES our pups! We will definitely recommend her to everyone and are so happy we found someone to watch our pups!!! ♥️”
“Renee was kind, responsible, flexible, and took great care of our cat! She even offered to come by before the trip to meet him and make sure it was a good fit. Highly recommend Renee!”
“Megan did great in watching after my pup! She was very responsive and sent pics with every drop in! Would definitely recommend and will definitely use her services again in the future!”

“Kristy was great! Our dogs felt safe and at ease with her, which in turn made us feel comfortable and at ease that she'd take good care of our furbabies. Will definitely book her again!!”
“Thomas is THE MAN. Great dog sitter, trainer and awesome person, my GSD puppy Groot got taken care of. Groot is a happier dog when I come home. Thomas provided photos and a video of Groot. Straight up awesome. Definitely recommend Thomas to anyone, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Olivia did a fantastic job. I had to leave town very short notice so I did not get to have a meet/greet prior to my departure. Olivia made me feel comfortable and sent tons of pics of my 2 happy dogs. She was timely and very efficient , neither of my dogs had a accident inside.(my frenchie had in the past with other sitters). I will definitely use Rover and Olivia again! Thanks!!”

Allysha went above and beyond on a last minute drop in visit to check in on our kitties after an emergency left them alone for a few days. She was flexible and responded quickly. She took care of the animals and home as if it were her own, even cleaning up a few messes and letting us know our stove light was on. She left a thorough and detailed report and sent lots of photos to ensure our peace of mind. Couldn’t have asked for a better drop in sitter. Would 100% trust her with your animals and home!

Gregory was very responsive and had great communication starting from the beginning of meeting our dog and through the end of the drop in visits for the weekend! Our dog Lola was in a perfectly fine mood upon our return - would definitely recommend for dog care and will definitely be booking in the future if needed! Thanks, Gregory!

Serena is an absolute gem! She’s incredibly communicative, friendly, and caring. She went above and beyond to understand how to care for my dogs. Not only did she ensure that my dogs were well taken care of, but she also took the time to make sure that my house was in top condition. I highly recommend Serena to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. You won’t regret booking her!
Brianna was an amazing sitter, while we went on vacation in Hawai’i she came and checked on my fur babies, she even helped with one of puppers escaping. She went above and beyond and ensured my packages were brought in the house without me asking, will definitely use her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
