I cannot care for dogs or cats at my place because I have kitties who wouldn’t appreciate the company! 😅 If you have a caged animal (hedgehog, bird, lizard, etc) I’m more than happy to keep them closed off in my bathroom, or just check in on them at your place if you’d prefer that. My cats have lived with a hedgehog and a gecko so they’re used to small critters.

If your dog (or cat) has any food allergies or reactive issues (scared of men, thunder, etc). Their general temperament around other animals, kids, and people they don’t know. Any other health issues/meds they need to take. I’ve given pills as well as insulin shots so I’m comfortable with a wide variety of medications!
A typical day
I’m available to go on walks in any of Denver’s public parks (Cheeseman, Washington Park, and Houston Lake are some of my favorites. If your dog is up for it, I love going on (easy!) trail hikes on nice weekends, and if they’re *really* high energy I’m always down for an excuse to have a new running buddy!

Pet care experience
Hey there! I’m new to Rover, but definitely not new to dog and cat care! I worked at Earthdog Denver for two years, a local dog daycare in the Baker neighborhood. If your dog comes to daycare or grooming there, I probably already know them! I can also give your dog baths and nail trims. If your cat won’t get too stressed, I can trim their claws too :) If you have other pets (rabbits, hedgehogs, chickens, lizards, etc) I’m comfortable taking care of them, too. I even sit for a miniature horse on occasion. Let me know what kind of animals you need taken care of!

It was my first time using rover and I was totally nervous about letting someone I didn’t know into my home to walk my dog but Marisa killed it. My dogs looked like they had a great time, I got to run the errands I needed and she even cleaned up after my dog’s accident! I appreciated that so much with all that I have going on. Will request her again when I need the assist!
Marisa was great and accommodated us last minute! Will definitely have her back!
Marisa did an awesome job looking after our cat while we were on a week long family trip. She kept him company, and even did a few extra things for us like water the plants. We will definitely keep her in mind for the future!!
