“Brooke has been amazing with our girls. One of our dogs is reactive and takes time to get used to, Brooke did a couple meet and greets beforehand. Brooke is on time, has great communication and leaves our house spotless. Most importantly we trust her with our girls and get the best updates and pictures when we are gone.”

“Stephany did a great job watching our dog, Laila, while we traveled home for the holidays. We just moved here so it was important to us to have someone stay with her while she was still adjusting to the new apartment. Stephany was very responsive, flexible, and communicative when caring for Laila. Stephany followed our care instructions and sent us plenty of updates and photos throughout her sitting. It was just what we needed to so we wouldn’t have to worry and we could enjoy our time with our family!”

About: Hi, I'm Conrad, and I'm a Star Sitter with 117+ five-star reviews and years of hands-on pet care experience. I specialize in providing a calm, safe, and personalized experience for every pet in my care. Whether you're looking for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walking, my goal is always the same: to make your pet feel comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. If you're new to Rover, welcome! Feel free to use my promo code **CONRAJ94323** for **$20 off** your first booking. My boarding is designed especially for small dogs. No large dogs here ever. That means your little one can play, nap, and relax without feeling intimidated or overwhelmed. My home has a fully fenced yard, no children, and a peaceful environment where dogs are treated like family. They're welcome on the couch, the bed, and anywhere they'll feel most at home. You'll receive frequent photos and updates throughout your pet's stay, so you'll always know how they're doing. I also live just half a block from a beautiful neighborhood park, giving dogs a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and one-on-one time outside. I'm home for most of the day, and whenever I step out, my partner is here, so your dog is never left without loving care. I have experience caring for senior dogs, diabetic dogs requiring insulin injections every 12 hours, pets with daily medications, reactive dogs, and dogs with unique routines and care needs. I'm patient, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. For house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I know how important consistency is. I carefully follow your pet's routine, administer medications when needed, provide exercise, enrichment, plenty of one-on-one attention, and send regular photo updates so you always know how they're doing. Most days you'll find a few little pups sunbathing in the yard, exploring the house, or curled up beside me while I work. I keep things clean, calm, and low-stress so every stay feels like a little vacation. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, which is why communication is one of my top priorities. You'll always know how your pet is doing through regular updates, photos, and prompt responses. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to the routine they already know, so I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and individual needs to help them feel comfortable, confident, and at home. I'm also saving for vet school, and every booking helps me move one step closer to that dream. Caring for animals isn't just a job to me—it's the career I'm dedicating my life to. Every booking brings me one step closer to becoming a veterinarian, and I'm incredibly grateful for every family who trusts me with their pets. I care for each one as if they were my own. Future vet in training! Caring for pets is what I love most. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends and when I’m not home, my partner is, so your pet always has company and care. I provide safe, loving care for small pets only. In my home, they’re welcome to relax on the furniture and the bed so they feel comfortable and cozy. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and treat every pet like my own while making sure their safety and happiness always come first.
“Sheila was communicative and sent pictures and videos to let us know how our pups were doing. We appreciate her living on our pups while we were away. 10/10 would book again 🤗”

“Alexus took amazing care of my golden doodle and our house over Thanksgiving holiday week. Doggie was happy and calm and the regular updates and pics were great!! Will absolutely rebook the next time we need a dog sitter 💗💗”

“Saunie was wonderful. She was very communicative, attentive, and very sweet to our Maltese, Remy. She was perfect and punctual, and took the VERY BEST photos of our dog. I might even have to frame a few! I would definitely recommend Saunie and look forward to having her watch Remy again. Thank you!”

“Ray was great with Lola! His communication with me was significant. From beginning to end of care days, Ray was available to answer any of my questions and he shared an appreciable amount of photos of my pup with me! I know that he provided wonderful care as my dog is usually anxious when we leave and needs some extra encouragement/additives to eat her kibble. But, with Ray as her sitter, she had no issues eating daily. We returned to a happy, well fed doggy! Definitely will be rebooking if he’s available when the time comes for us to need a sitter again!”

“Sara and Erin did a great job with our little Wilma, she’s a little shy at first but they got her to hang out with them and gave her meds thrice a day and kept her good company. Will definitely book with Sara and Erin again, very responsive and responsible, thank you both! 🤩”

“Corey was great to have watch my babies! Great communication and even handled one of my doggies getting sick. Definitely booking again for future trips and highly recommend to others.”
“Sydnee was amazing!! She was asked to help us out last second and took great care of the dogs, cats, and house! 12/10 would recommend; we're excited to rebook her the next time we leave town. She sent daily updates, pictures, and definitely treated our pets like they were her own.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend Viktoriia! Viktoriia did an amazing job caring for my home and animals. She kept everything clean, communicated clearly, and treated my pets with real attention and kindness—not just basic care. It gave me total peace of mind knowing everything was in good hands. I’ll absolutely be using her again and would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and trustworthy.”
“Isabella was amazing. She was so king and sweet to both our dogs. She was timely, respectful, and gave us the most detailed updates. We know she was paying close attention as she included niche things our dogs do that we didn’t mention beforehand. We had a great experience with her.”

“First time rover user here and Caitlyn made the process so easy! She sent me pictures and updates at least twice a day. She even gave one of my dogs ear drops every day, since Lemon got an ear infection the same day we left town! My pups were so happy with Caitlyn, we will definitely use her again!”

“Kayla did really good taking care of our poochies. She kept us up to date with what they were doing. Tackled any challenges come & very understanding”

“Breeanna did a wonderful job for us!! She watched our german pinscher - Sonja and our home for a week. I would highly recommend her. She always kept in touch sent daily photo's. Amazing!”

“My puppies were so well taken care of for the 4 days I was gone. You can always tell when you get home. My puppies were happy to see me but content and not in any way distressed. Nothing better than that. Will definitely use again. She has a great calm presence with my puppies. A+ 🐾💜🐾”

“Maya was so great with my two fur babies! She sent regular updates, kept them company, & took care of them while my husband & I were on a long hike for the day. She was especially gentle & great with my senior pup, an (almost) 15 year old German shepherd with arthritis. I would definitely recommend Maya!”

Sarah is amazing! She takes such good care of all our pets, big and small. She keeps our house just like we're there. She communicates frequently and keeps us appraised of all the happenings. We love her, our pets love her, and we are so happy to have found her!

Taylor was fantastic with my dogs, Pippin and Arya! He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about their wellbeing the whole time I was away. I came home to two happy, well-cared-for pups and total peace of mind. Highly recommend him for anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive pet sitter!

This was my first time using rover for my dog and Stephany was so wonderful! She administered medication for my ten year old dog and took such good care of her and our home. She provided updates and pictures which we loved!! We will definitely be using these services in the future!

Tamara was very easy to work with. My trip was a bit last minute but we were able to schedule a meet and greet soon after confirming the stay. She stayed in my home with my dog and was very respectful of my space. I was thankful to come home to a clean house, she really went above and beyond there. My dog is aggressive with other dogs, this is always my worry when leaving him alone with a new person but Tamara assured me she understood and I am thankful that there were no issues with that. Tamara was sure to do daily check ins and send photos, she was quick to respond before and during the stay as well. I would for sure work with Tamara again.

Carmella was awesome. We were out of the country for 10 days and she took great care of our pup while we were away. She is observant and picked up on his little quirks in no time. Left the house spotless too. Very fast to respond which helped a sometimes anxious dog mom like me! Highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter

Shelia is always absolutely wonderful to have watch the pets and house sit. She takes such great care of Rosie and Murphy, they absolutely love all the attention she gives them. It is so nice knowing someone is caring for them so well at home and we don’t have to send them somewhere out of their comfort zone to be boarded. We feel so lucky to have found Shelia!!

Garrett watched my dog, Cooper, on short notice as I headed out of town for an extended weekend. He showed up to the meet and greet that I had to schedule only mere hours before catching my flight, got along well with Coop, and took great care of him throughout the stay. I received pictures and updates at a regular cadence, and Cooper was acting his happy self upon my return. He enjoyed his time spent with Garrett! My home was also left in great shape! I would definitely have Garrett sit in my space with Cooper again.

We are so grateful for Kate’s love and attention with our house and dogs! Kate was patient and kind to them, gave them extra walks and consistently gave them enrichment treats, and sent tons of pictures and detailed updates. And somehow Kate left our home even cleaner than we did after the stay. We would definitely work with Kate again!

FAQs for House Sitting - Aurora
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Aurora on Rover is $46.01 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,312 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Aurora. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Aurora walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Aurora maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Aurora choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aurora. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
