“Conrad was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was very happy and well cared for. Communication was excellent, and pictures were sent as requested. We will definitely be using Conrad’s services again in the near future.”

About: I have a combination of professional animal-care experience and a genuine lifelong love for animals. I grew up with cats and dogs and have been pet sitting for family, friends, and others since I was a teenager. I volunteered with the ASPCA as a teen and later worked with Barn Hill Preserve, caring for multiple exotic animals at a time while traveling and helping teach children about animal care and conservation. I’ve also cared for three indoor bunnies who had their own dedicated half of the house! Most recently, I spent 9 months working at a veterinary hospital, where I gained experience caring for pets with many different personalities and needs. I’m patient, attentive, dependable, and comfortable following detailed care instructions. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, elderly, or simply needs some extra love and reassurance, I’ll treat them like family and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the week, including weekends, and can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I’m happy to work around each pet’s individual routine and needs, and I enjoy having the flexibility to give them plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and companionship. As my schedule changes in the future, I’ll make sure to keep my availability updated so I can always provide the level of care I promise. I believe the best pet care starts with understanding each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, playtime, and any special care their pet requires. I also pay close attention to behavior and look for anything unusual so I can keep owners informed. For pets in my care, I provide plenty of attention, affection, play, and companionship while respecting their boundaries and comfort levels. In a client’s home, I treat their space with the same care and respect I would want for my own home. My veterinary experience has taught me to be attentive to small changes in a pet’s behavior and wellbeing, and my goal is always for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their people are away.

“Noelle was the best! I’d had a previous bad experience with Rover a few years ago, so was hesitant to try again. After meeting Noelle, she gave me faith that there were still good people in the world who love dogs and work for Rover. Noelle was obviously experienced with dogs and got down on the floor to meet Bear. She stayed with him for several hours on 4 different occasions, took him for walks and was great company for him. Noelle is sweet and personable and I’d highly recommend her as a dog sitter. We appreciated her so much!”

“This is the first time we have used Bree as a house / pet sitter, and she was absolutely amazing! Our dogs were well taken care of, they LOVED her, and were so happy and healthy looking when we returned. Bree was very attentive to their needs, fed and walked them very timely every day and was super communicative throughout our trip - not only with incredible pictures of our furry friends, but also with any questions or concerns she had about them if their behaviors were a little off, etc, so she could ensure she was caring for them in the best way possible. Our house was also in great shape when we got back from our 8 day trip! She was very respectful. We would absolutely hire Bree again in the future 😊”

“Nautica was so caring and loving of the pups! She sent lots of updates and the house was in great condition when we came back. She even offered to water the plants! I could tell she gave the dogs the attention they needed. Would book again!”

“Kayla did an absolutely wonderful job watching our dog while we were on vacation! She communicated with us consistently throughout the week and even sent us frequent photos, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. She also went above and beyond by keeping our house tidy and neat, even though we never asked her to! We appreciate her keeping our plants watered, as well! We have already booked Kayla for another sit and fully intend to continue using her services. She has truly been one of the best pet sitters we’ve ever come across, and we couldn’t recommend her enough!”
“Morgan was amazing - daily updates and pictures - arrived to a clean home - and most importantly, my dog was happy and well exercised when I got home! I will definitely use Morgan again! She even sent me pictures of my flowers that bloomed while I was away!”

“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. She took wonderful care of my babies and my home, leaving my place so clean and nice. She’s a gem and I will absolutely use her again! Thank you Carissa! 🙏”

“Thanks Morgan! The nightly updates were a great addition. It was nice to know our two dogs were in good hands when we were away. We appreciate you looking over them.”

“Dustin is one of the best Rover’s we’ve ever had and would highly, highly recommend her services! She took the time to meet both of our cats and developed a bond by the time she left. Elite photographer/videographer and left my place in immaculate condition. We hate leaving our kitties, but know they’re under the best care with Dustin. 12/10”

“Hadia was great with Riley and was very communicative with lots of pictures and videos while we were gone. She also asked lots of questions about Riley before we left to ensure she could provide a positive experience. Would highly recommend Hadia to anyone looking for a Rover”

“This was our first time booking Chris, who stayed at our home to watch our dog for 5 days. Chris was very communicative and concerned about our pup’s wellbeing, and kept our home as clean as we left it. Our dog is not the most friendly with strangers and has bad separation anxiety, but Chris navigated the situation well. We will definitely be booking with Chris again!”

“Chanel is personable and professional! She took her responsibilities seriously and made sure she knew just how to take care of our animals and home. The animals were well taken care of and exercised and she left our home even cleaner than she found it! We would highly recommend using her for your animals as we plan to again!”

“Kristen was great and kept us updated especially cause we have a younger dog who is still learning and gets some anxiety. She was very nice and helpful. Thank you again!”

About: In my 10 years of experience, I've made friends with every critter I meet. As a person who’s grown up around animals, creating a comforting atmosphere is a skill that comes smoothly to me. I’ve cared for young animals, old animals, special needs & differently abled animals. In the time that your fur baby & I bond, I’ll be sure to leave them feeling safe, cared for & a big furry smile on their face! I am currently working full time as a Field Technician for Veo. I usually work Tues-Sat, 6am-2pm. With Tuesdays & Sundays being my class days. I am also a working musician. When I’m a clients home, I am always respectful of the space. I make use of any lounge areas, as to bond with the animals & create comfort.
“Michael was absolutely fantastic watching my dog, Molly, and house sitting. He provided content updates with pictures to ensure I was at peace of mind. My house was cleaner than I left it, and will 100% be using him again. Thank you so much again!”

“Nathan was fantastic with my dog. My dog can be reactive with other dogs and I'm particular about his care/environment, but I could tell Nathan went above and beyond familiarizing himself with my dogs needs and set up. They seemed to have bonded and my dog got new experiences and adventures! He left my home clean and was considerate in all interactions. I'm glad to have found Nathan for my dog and will book again.”

“Chloe was nothing short of PHENOMENAL! She was so diligent with providing updates with plenty of photos and she took the absolute best care of my senior baby. It's so hard to feel good when leaving my aging boy, but Chloe truly went above and beyond when it came to his needs. He was so happy in all the photos and was so content when I returned. Also, the house was in great condition (pretty much as I had left it) which was so sweet to return to after a longer time away! I will undoubtedly be a return customer with Chloe-- she's the best there is!”

“Monica was absolutely fantastic to deal with and made us feel so safe that our dogs were in good hands. This was by the far the most relaxed/least stressed we have ever seen our dogs when we came back from a trip. Thank you so much for everything!”

“Brittany was so wonderful to our pups! She did an amazing job following our instructions and communicating with both me and my husband. I will have her back in a heartbeat if we need another sitter! She works from home so she was able to be with our pups consistently which is super important for me. Thank you Brittany!!”

Justine was amazing with my two dogs. My scheduled sitter fell through, and she was available last minute and was fantastic. She provided me with updates and photos of my pups and was super communicative with me. Justine stayed at my house with the dogs and took such good care of my apartment and was so thoughtful while staying there. I would book her again anytime.

My dog had tummy troubles and needed to go to the vet while Isabella was watching her and Isabella did an amazing job caring for her and communicating with me throughout the process! My puppy also has a lot of energy and Isabella was patient with her. Isabella took great care of my puppy and my home

Melissa is an absolute gem - she always takes the best care of our senior pup, but this most recent time she went above and beyond to make him comfortable and nurse him back to health. She not only cares for our dog in the moment but genuinely cares about his long term health and happiness. She’s the absolute best!!

Anna was absolutely wonderful! She was very responsive and followed up with me before watching my dog, which made me feel confident from the start. She kept me updated throughout her stay with my dog and sent regular updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. Most importantly, my dog was so happy and well cared for when I came home. I would definitely recommend Anna and would happily have her watch my dog again!

We had an amazing experience with Jesse! She took such great care of our babies and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. She is responsive and provided daily updates on our animals while we were out of town which was really nice and thoughtful!

Monica is truly a wonderful pet sitter! She took amazing care of our anxious senior pup! Monica took her on nice long walks, sent photos/updates daily, and left our apartment sparkling! I highly recommend Monica for all your pet sitting needs, we’ll definitely be using her again :)

Goose was in great hands with Emiliana! She watched Goose at our house for the weekend and was fantastic from start to finish. She kept us updated the whole time with tons of photos, which was super reassuring while we were away. I really appreciated that she took the time to take Goose on multiple long walks each day to get her energy out, instead of just letting her into the backyard. On top of taking great care of Goose, she left our place completely spotless. She was super respectful, reliable, and easy to communicate with. We’ll definitely be booking her again on Rover and couldn't recommend her more!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Glendale on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 8,781 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glendale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glendale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glendale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Glendale. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
