“Conrad was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was very happy and well cared for. Communication was excellent, and pictures were sent as requested. We will definitely be using Conrad’s services again in the near future.”

“So glad that Carissa was available to watch my babies for a long weekend! She was great with updates and pictures and I felt really good knowing she was there with them. She took wonderful care of my babies and my home, leaving my place so clean and nice. She’s a gem and I will absolutely use her again! Thank you Carissa! 🙏”

“Kristen was great and kept us updated especially cause we have a younger dog who is still learning and gets some anxiety. She was very nice and helpful. Thank you again!”

“Breanna was an amazing sitter for our puppy Oliver. She sent pictures and checked in daily. It was a long time to be away, however, I thought Bree did an excellent job of reassuring our family Oliver was in good hands while we were away. I will continue to use her for all our pet sitting needs.”

“Stephany did a great job watching our dog, Laila, while we traveled home for the holidays. We just moved here so it was important to us to have someone stay with her while she was still adjusting to the new apartment. Stephany was very responsive, flexible, and communicative when caring for Laila. Stephany followed our care instructions and sent us plenty of updates and photos throughout her sitting. It was just what we needed to so we wouldn’t have to worry and we could enjoy our time with our family!”

“This was our first time booking Chris, who stayed at our home to watch our dog for 5 days. Chris was very communicative and concerned about our pup’s wellbeing, and kept our home as clean as we left it. Our dog is not the most friendly with strangers and has bad separation anxiety, but Chris navigated the situation well. We will definitely be booking with Chris again!”

“Ashlyn took superb care of our greyhounds and our home. We returned to a clean house and relaxed dogs, not to mention our own significantly reduced stress! She remained unfazed and handily cleaned up after accidents from our excited pee-er. Thank you so much!”

“Nautica went above and beyond for Neptune. I got photos to make sure he was doing great! Nautica was really communicative and allowed me to spend some time with family without worrying about the pup I had to leave behind.”

“Noelle was the best! I’d had a previous bad experience with Rover a few years ago, so was hesitant to try again. After meeting Noelle, she gave me faith that there were still good people in the world who love dogs and work for Rover. Noelle was obviously experienced with dogs and got down on the floor to meet Bear. She stayed with him for several hours on 4 different occasions, took him for walks and was great company for him. Noelle is sweet and personable and I’d highly recommend her as a dog sitter. We appreciated her so much!”

“Hadia was great with Riley and was very communicative with lots of pictures and videos while we were gone. She also asked lots of questions about Riley before we left to ensure she could provide a positive experience. Would highly recommend Hadia to anyone looking for a Rover”

“If I could give Dustin more stars I would!! I had some nerves leaving my 7 mo old puppy for 8 days and I was quickly at ease with the updates and pictures from Dustin. It was clear she felt comfortable and safe, not to mention my cat who’s been adjusting to the puppy, and was more himself than I’d seen in a while. She went above and beyond leaving the house in immaculate shape as well. So thankful for you Dustin! Sable & Dunkin can’t wait to stay with you again.”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Duke! I REALLY appreciate getting pictures, will definitely be in touch for the next time I need a sitter for him.”

“Megan helped me out last minute and she was great! She spent the afternoon with my doggies — walked them, fed them, hung out with them! I will definitely use Megan again!”

“Hannah did an amazing job with our pup. She sent pictures daily showing how much fun they were having. Awesome communication and was a great guest leaving our house cleaner than we left it. A+”

“Morgan is wonderful to work with! Very communicative and received regular updates with photos. I know our pup Todd is in good hands with Morgan and I can feel good about leaving town.”

“Emiliana took fantastic care of our pets and home and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was reliable, caring, and went above and beyond by staying a little longer when we had unexpected flight delays. We came home to happy pets and a well-cared-for house and would absolutely recommend her!”

About: I love dogs of all kinds! I recently had to put my senior dog down and joined Rover so I could still get some dog time in during this transition period. I would love to walk your pups and pet sit for you while out of town! I have been dog sitting for friends for the past 13 years. I work in retail full time. I typically have Wednesdays and Saturdays off, so could be available all day then. Other days of the week I am available after 3pm. Meet and greet required before sitting. When sitting for you, we will go over a list of needs for your pet. Each day you are away, I will send photos and updates. If any concerns arise, I will call or text you. I try to make sure pups are as comfy as possible while their owners are out of town.
“Kayla did really good taking care of our poochies. She kept us up to date with what they were doing. Tackled any challenges come & very understanding”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Glendale
Georgia stayed with our dog, Kodee, for 15 days and she did an outstanding job. Our dog had met Georgia before this and had stayed over at our house for a trial run so our dog was comfortable with her and she got to know our house. She took Kodee for several walks a day, made sure she had water and food, and administered gabapentin and comforted her when there were thunderstorms. We loved that she was able to work from home so we knew our dog was well cared for. She was very flexible and able to help us out at the last minute when our flight was cancelled and she had to stay an extra day and a half.. We highly recommend Georgia and would definitely use her again!

It was my first time using rover and Ashley was really helpful in helping me understand the ropes and expectations. She answered all my questions with grace and was really easy to coordinate with. She sent pictures regularly and the house felt exactly like I left it, which was a pleasant surprise since she stayed here the whole time. I’m very detail oriented and particular about my space so that says a lot in a positive way.

Cheyenne is the best! My place flooded the morning I had to leave and she took it in stride. She communicated with me about the clean up process and of course Bear. When he had an upset stomach from the stress of the situation she adjusted to his food needs and kept me informed me of changes she saw. It was such a relief to feel like my home and Bear were in more than capable, caring hands so I could focus on my trip without a significant amount of extra concern. I highly recommend Cheyenne!

I’m so grateful I found Kaitlyn! She is so sweet and was very eager to meet and care for my dog while I was gone for a weekend. She was very responsive, easy to work with, provided updates throughout the day, and truly a great person to watch your pet! Even though it was my first time meeting her, I felt very comfortable with the care my dog was receiving after chatting which really made being away much easier!! I can’t recommend her enough!!!! 😊 I know Pudge is looking forward to seeing his new friend again! 🫶🏼

Monica took such great job of Kuzco - he was so happy and tired after a few days in her care! Lots of leashed walks and off-leash playtime in our fenced yard, his favorite :) She was super communicative, thoughtful, and took great care of our apartment as well. We’ll happily be using her in the future!

Sara was great! On short notice she was able to watch our herd of 5 for an evening. We have a relatively strict regime with our animals and she followed instructions to a T! Her communication was excellent and we had no concerns of our animals safety or wellbeing in her care. 10/10 would book again

The average cost for House Sitting in Glendale on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,810 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Glendale. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Glendale walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Glendale maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Glendale choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
