About: Hi, I'm Conrad, and I'm a Star Sitter with 117+ five-star reviews and years of hands-on pet care experience. I specialize in providing a calm, safe, and personalized experience for every pet in my care. Whether you're looking for boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walking, my goal is always the same: to make your pet feel comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind. If you're new to Rover, welcome! Feel free to use my promo code **CONRAJ94323** for **$20 off** your first booking. My boarding is designed especially for small dogs. No large dogs here ever. That means your little one can play, nap, and relax without feeling intimidated or overwhelmed. My home has a fully fenced yard, no children, and a peaceful environment where dogs are treated like family. They're welcome on the couch, the bed, and anywhere they'll feel most at home. You'll receive frequent photos and updates throughout your pet's stay, so you'll always know how they're doing. I also live just half a block from a beautiful neighborhood park, giving dogs a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and one-on-one time outside. I'm home for most of the day, and whenever I step out, my partner is here, so your dog is never left without loving care. I have experience caring for senior dogs, diabetic dogs requiring insulin injections every 12 hours, pets with daily medications, reactive dogs, and dogs with unique routines and care needs. I'm patient, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. For house sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking, I know how important consistency is. I carefully follow your pet's routine, administer medications when needed, provide exercise, enrichment, plenty of one-on-one attention, and send regular photo updates so you always know how they're doing. Most days you'll find a few little pups sunbathing in the yard, exploring the house, or curled up beside me while I work. I keep things clean, calm, and low-stress so every stay feels like a little vacation. I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful, which is why communication is one of my top priorities. You'll always know how your pet is doing through regular updates, photos, and prompt responses. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to the routine they already know, so I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and individual needs to help them feel comfortable, confident, and at home. I'm also saving for vet school, and every booking helps me move one step closer to that dream. Caring for animals isn't just a job to me—it's the career I'm dedicating my life to. Every booking brings me one step closer to becoming a veterinarian, and I'm incredibly grateful for every family who trusts me with their pets. I care for each one as if they were my own. Future vet in training! Caring for pets is what I love most. I’m available mornings, evenings, and weekends and when I’m not home, my partner is, so your pet always has company and care. I provide safe, loving care for small pets only. In my home, they’re welcome to relax on the furniture and the bed so they feel comfortable and cozy. I follow your instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and treat every pet like my own while making sure their safety and happiness always come first.

“Daria gave my dog attention and walked her every day. She tried to comfort her when a storm was near which really frightenes my dog. Daria also let my dog sleep with her. I recommend her when you need someone to take care of your pet.”

“Lan was great! She sent update photos of Rylee to us twice a day. Gave him his antibiotic! She left our house spotless and our 5 month old puppy well taken care of!!! Highly recommended!”

“Mia was SO amazing! She was so attentive with the animals, respectful with our home, and a great communicator. I was able to relax on my trip and not have to worry about a thing!”

About: Hi! I'm a full-time teacher and lifelong animal lover who would be honored to care for your pets while you're away. I can honestly say I haven't gone a single year of my life without having an animal in my family. Growing up, we had everything from guinea pigs, geckos and frogs, to cats and dogs, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. When friends and family need a pet or house sitter, I'm usually the first person they call. I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I treat every pet like they're my own. Whether your dog loves long walks, your cat prefers quiet cuddle time, or your pets just need someone to keep their routine consistent, I'm happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. Being a teacher has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to stay calm in any situation. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and great at following routines, medications, and special instructions. I'll make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind that your home is in good hands. As a full-time teacher, my weekdays typically begin around 6:00 a.m., and I'm home by about 4:00 p.m. This schedule makes me a great fit for pets who are comfortable being home during a typical workday, and I'm available for morning and evening walks, feedings, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. My evenings, weekends, holidays, and school breaks allow for even more quality time with your pets. I'll always be upfront about my availability and will only accept bookings that I know I can give the excellent care and attention your pets deserve. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means feeding them on schedule, taking them for walks, playing with them, giving plenty of belly rubs, or relaxing together after a long day, I'm happy to meet their individual needs. I'm comfortable crating pets when needed, administering basic care, and following detailed instructions to ensure they stay safe and happy. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own, so you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind.

Emma took great care of our two dogs during a recent weekend stay. She followed our (very lengthy) instructions, stuck to our typical routine, and walked our two rambunctious boys together. She took the time to get to know each of their personalities, and it was obvious they felt comfortable, happy, and well cared for with her. We really appreciated the photos and updates while we were away. She made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip knowing the boys were in such good hands. Emma also went above and beyond by leaving our home spotless. We look forward to having her stay with the boys again soon and highly recommend her. 10/10!

Maia is a wonderful dog sitter! She took great care with our Parti Yorkie and Bichon/Cocker mix. Maia played with them and got in a couple of walks during the 22 hours she watched our dogs. Maia is great at communicating and sending us pictures throughout the day. I really can’t say enough wonderful things about her!

Lily was amazing! She treated Naya as if she were her own dog with lots of cuddles and treats. She took her on lots of walks and even gave her a pup cup! She updated us constantly and sent us lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend Lily to anybody, and Naya will be looking forward to her next visit with her!

Chelsea was so great with our little girl! She’s still very young so she can’t go on walks just yet and can be rambunctious and nippy- Chelsea was super flexible and did a great job keeping her occupied on positive activities and with attention while we were out!

Pete was an excellent dog sitter. He took the time to get to know our large dogs, gave them plenty of exercise, and kept us updated with regular photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind. He also went above and beyond by keeping our home clean and well cared for. We feel fortunate to have found Pete and highly recommend him. Thank you, Pete!
Amelia was fantastic! I needed a last-minute dog sitter, and she responded immediately. She took excellent care of my two dogs, arrived on time, and kept me updated with daily pictures of them playing. Her transparency and dedication made my trip stress-free. I’ll definitely use her services again!

Tessa was absolutely amazing with our 4-month-old Yellow Lab, Beau! She met us at our hotel a few days before our booking so she could get to know him and learn exactly how to care for him. From the moment we met her, we knew he was in great hands. It’s clear that Tessa genuinely loves dogs and goes above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’d absolutely book with her again if we’re in the area. Highly recommend!

Lan was awesome, super communicative, took Lou on some great walks, and left the house spotless upon our return. I honestly think our dog Louie was slightly disappointed when we got home because Lan treated him so well. I would highly recommend and we will be reaching out to Lan in the future if we need dog care!!

I reached out to Nathan re: a VERY last-minute booking for dog sitting at my home. He was flexible in setting up a meet & greet around my schedule and adjusting the booking on the fly. He was communicative throughout and sent lots of pictures and videos. I came home to a happy, healthy dog, and a spotless apartment. Definitely recommend Nathan!

Kevin was an amazing sitter! He was kind, communicative, and sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my dog was well cared for and happy, and I came home to a relaxed pup. I would absolutely book with Kevin again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Thank you, Kevin!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Sheridan on Rover is $57.06 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 8,858 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sheridan. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sheridan walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sheridan maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sheridan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sheridan. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
