“Chelsea was amazing with our two pups. She sent daily pictures and updates. She is very trustworthy and reliable. Her communication kept us at ease our whole trip. Chelsea left our home in better condition then when we left. We highly recommend her! Thank you so much Chelsea!”

“Rachel was great. Was my first Rover experience and I felt like I was in great hands. Lots of communication and feedback. Left the house in great condition. Very friendly! Moby seemed to love her on the meet and greet. Will gladly use her services again.”

“Hadia did a great job watching our puppy, Maggie. She sent pictures and updates during the day and Maggje warmed up to her immediately. I would definitely hire Hadia to watch our pup in the future!”

“Erin was great! We had Erin for a few days overnight to take care of our two dogs. She sent constant communication and updates throughout our trip and our dogs always looked like they were having a blast without us! Erin took our high energy dog on daily walks and gave our small one all the necessary cuddles. Thanks Erin!”

About: I have taken care of rescues since middle school, about 11. Having dogs in this life time has been my greatest reward and joy. ❤️ I have almost full availability to care for your loved pet. I can work almost any schedule needed and can show up on short notice. Animals should be let out frequently and their body/minds exercised. Mixed with a hefty amount of cuddles and approved treats make a happy family member.
“Logan was outmatched in class! He was easy to deal with from the moment we met and did our little introductory, he was a great communicator with me before I left and while I was away, sending me updates and photos. He clearly loves animals and my cats responded in kind… I would not hesitate to recommend him to any new clients seeking a reliable competent Pet Sitter.”

“Lexie is the best! It’s wonderful to have peace of mind and know my babies will be well taken care of. Lexie is so good with my two pups, she also took them for a trip to get pup cups. Thank you Lexie!!!!🐾”

“Stephanie did an amazing job watching our two dogs while we were gone. Stephanie was very communicative, sent us updates as necessary, and sent us pictures of the dogs having fun! Our house was clean and taken care of as instructed when we got back home. Will absolutely rebook with Stephanie in the future, thank you!!”

“Kimberly was great. She was extremely communicative, organized, and caring towards our pup. She left our house in great condition and well cared for over a weekend. Would recommend!”

“Let me start off by saying Nikole is very professional. The last babysitter we had I couldn’t say the same she took care of Gracie as if it was her own pup. She shared pictures and updates daily which made me feel more comfortable being away. She left the house just as I left it also!”

“Kayla did a great job taking care of our two dogs and our house! She even got our very timid dog to warm up to her. When we got home both dogs seemed more relaxed and less anxious than usual after being left alone. And as a bonus, our house was cleaned up as well. Overall great job and I would definitely recommended Kayla!”
“Rachel was so great! From the meet and greet and all the way through the sitting she asked great questions gave complete updates with pictures and videos and was just an over great communicator. Punctual arrival and even offered to do the laundry and dishes. Highly recommended, Rachel is a star!!”

“Noa is fantastic!!!! We all love her. So great with our animals (1 dog and 1 cat), our home, and very sweet to our daughter too. Great communication and wonderful personality to boot.”

“Emily was amazing! She made us feel comfortable by providing references before our meet and greet, and was willing to learn how to give our dog daily insulin injections with no prior training. She sent us pics and kept us updated the whole time, and when we missed our flight she was flexible and stayed for two additional nights! Would highly recommend her!”

“We had a great experience with Mariesa. I expected things were going to go well when Sydney, who normally takes a while to get comfortable with strangers, immediately became fast friends with Mariesa at the first meeting. While we were away, Mariesa sent photos and provided daily updates. We returned to a home in order and a happy pup. I definitely recommend considering Mariesa for dog sitting.”

“Declan was great! Very responsive and a delight to work with. My wife and I just moved to SLC and immediately went on a trip after, so we were nervous about leaving our babies in a new place, but he was very reassuring and took excellent care of them. As an added bonus he’s a master pet photographer and captured great shots of our little monsters. We will absolutely be reaching out to him for all our future trips!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sheridan
Jackson is the best! This was our first time using Jackson as a sitter and we will definitely be working with him again. He made himself available twice before the actual booking date (first for an initial meeting and then a second time to visit the house before we left). Our dog, Nellie, just absolutely loves him. We just recently went through some scary medical issues with her and this was our first time leaving her since a major surgery, and she now takes medication twice daily. Jackson immediately put us at ease and checked in regularly with photos and quick updates. When we got back, we could barely tell he had been there except for the bed sheets already drying in the dryer! On top of being a responsible and caring dog sitter, Jackson is just a kind, compassionate and thoughtful person. We’ve enjoyed getting to know him and feel grateful we’ve found someone we trust with our girl.

Highly recommend Mariesa! She stayed at our house to watch our pup, Nova, over our extended wedding weekend and she was excellent. We knew our girl was in great hands while we were away and didn’t have to worry about her at all. She has some specific medication and dietary needs and Mariesa went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and healthy while we were away. Thank you Mariesa!

Daria was excellent in house-sitting for our 2 large dogs and 1 cat. She accepted our booking request on short notice, scheduled a meet & greet, and she even read up on our pets profile notes beforehand. All very seamless and while we were away, we received daily updates and pictures! Great service, good price, no complaints!

Amanda was great . My dog was not exactly a fan of us leaving her , and was pretty much grumpy the entire time . But she was patient with her and didn’t force her into doing anything she wasn’t comfortable with . Gave me updates. I still had a stress free vacation knowing she was going back and forth to my house to check on her . I will use her again if she will have it 😅

Delaney did a stellar job watching our two Aussies! She was communicative, proactive, sent us photo updates of the pups, and left our house spotless! We’ve already booked her again for another stay! Both of our dogs can be overwhelming when meeting strangers, but Delaney remained calm and friendly during the entire meet and greet. I had no concerns from the beginning that she’d do a great job!

Erin is simply an amazing human and pet sitter! She watched our two cats while we were traveling for a week. One of our cats can be pretty skittish and she was able to get her to come out of her shell when we've only ever seen her get close to my son. I'd highly recommend Erin for anyone looking for a pet/house sitter, we'll definitely ask her to watch our pets in the future. :) Thank you, Erin!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sheridan walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sheridan maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sheridan choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
