“The best cat sitter I've had on Rover! I could tell how happy my cat was with Tina, and I could see how much Tina genuinely cared about my cat and went above and beyond. Tina took all the worry out of leaving my cat in someone else's care and I simply cannot thank her enough for being such a caring, kind and thoughtful person and sitter. Tina's attention to detail with my cat was just superb.”

“Maia did a great job dropping-in for our dogs while we were away! They were very content when we got back and even the kitties got lots of love. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Stephany is kind, reliable, and professional. She cleaned up a litter mess and also just made sure the litter boxes were clean and not just emptied. It’s that extra effort I really appreciate. My cat is also pretty picky, has hidden from a lot of Rovers but she loves Stephany’s kindness!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Dilruba. She followed all of our instructions perfectly and went above and beyond by providing a detailed report after each visit. Our cat is usually very timid, but Dilruba made the experience much less stressful for him. We came home to a happy and relaxed kitty, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend!”

“Cami is so great with our 3 guys! They love visiting with her and she gives great write-ups so we keep in the loop about what they’re up to while we’re gone. We’re so lucky to have her take care of our cats!”

“Chelsea did a wonderful job checking in on my 2 boys at a consistent time all week! They are both pretty skittish but warmed up to her quite a bit. I really appreciated her thorough updates and pictures while I was gone - I would definitely book Chelsea again in the future!”

“Jennifer took amazing care of our cats! She sent lots of photos and great updates on how they were doing which put us at ease while we were away. I would highly recommend hiring her to take care of your pets!”

“Denise is incredible! I just moved to the area and haven’t built up a network of folks to look after our animals yet. My wife and I lucked into finding Denise! She was punctual, responsive, and even though she wasn’t in charge of looking after the cats, she let us know about them over the course of our wedding weekend. She just graduated from college and we were fortunate enough to meet her before she starts her new career where she will be helping to make this city even better as an engineer. She is responsible, kind, and goes out of her way to care for your animals. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend, and will be lucky to have her look after my pup again in the future. Thank you Denise!”

“Hilary, Did such a nice job caring for my three cats while I was away. Not only did she keep me updated on how things were going but she shared a photo of each feeding/care session. One of my elusive cats even came out for a photo op on the last day, which shows that they were starting to feel comfortable with her! - Tom”

“Pilar was so communicative and Timber loved having her taking care of him. Her drop ins were on time and consistent. Although we were unable during the booking, she was independent and able to accommodate Timber’s needs. She was amazing!”

“Kirstin is the best! She goes out of the way to make our shy kitties feel special! She even found our elusive outdoor kitty who never shows up. Thanks Kirstin!”

“Brittany is great! I have a young puppy that is still being trained and is used to being walked solely by me. My puppy is very comfortable with Brittany and Brittany has done a great job walking her in the pouring rain or shine! No easy task with a new puppy! I received constant communication and pics which is great as a nervous new dog owner!”

“Robin was great! She accepted our booking on short notice and even took time to meet us before we left in-person. Always took pictures of our cats for us to enjoy. Highly recommend.”

“We would love to use Marissa again in the future. Showed up at scheduled times and sent many pictures. She came meet us the day before for a few minutes to get instructions which I appreciated greatly.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
