About: As a pet sitter, my dedication to providing personalized care and attention to each furry friend sets me apart. I prioritize building strong bonds with pets, ensuring their comfort and happiness while their owners are away. With a keen eye for detail and a genuine love for animals, I tailor my services to meet the unique needs of every pet, creating a safe and loving environment that owners can trust. I am currently in high school so i’ll have lots of time for the pups! I can walk and boarding on weekdays anytime after 4 pm and on weekends it will truly depend on the basketball schedule but I’ll be able to do whatever is needed anytime after 9 am. At home, I pamper my pets with love, playtime, and regular walks. As a professional, I offer reliable pet sitting, dog walking, and personalized care for clients' furry companions.

“I highly recommend Chase as a pet sitter. He genuinely likes animals, took the time to play a bit each day with my 12 yr old cat. He also introduced both of us to Cat TV, for which I am eternally grateful.”

“Melina sent lots of pics and gave Mu good loves while we were away. I liked that she asked for vet info to be written down and a carrier left out in case of any emergencies.”

“Holly is kind, thoughtful, and communicative! She also sent some great photos each day she was with our cat Daisy. I would definitely recommend her if you need someone gentle to spend some time with your pet. 😊”

About: I’m a calm, reliable, and attentive pet sitter who understands that every pet has different needs and personalities. As a longtime dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. My dog Charlie was part of my life for 14 years, so I understand the level of care, patience, and love pets deserve at every stage of life, from energetic younger dogs to seniors who need a gentler approach. I’m especially patient with anxious or high-energy dogs and prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, sticking to routines, or just providing companionship, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also believe strong communication matters, so I make sure owners feel informed and at ease with regular updates and photos. I currently work part-time from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy being active, going on walks, and spending time with animals. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting during both weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routines and giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and individual needs, whether that means extra exercise, a slower pace for senior dogs, or helping anxious pets feel more at ease. As a longtime dog owner myself, I understand how important trust and peace of mind are when someone else is caring for your pet, and I genuinely treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and affection I would give my own. I’m respectful of clients’ homes, follow care instructions carefully, and provide regular updates and photos so owners always feel informed and confident their pet is being well cared for.
“Marissa is amazing! She went above and beyond for drop in visits, and she is soooo sweet and nice with our shy cats, kept us posted for all situations, it made our trip so much better since we were not worried about the cats! Thank you Marissa!!”

About: Hi, I’m Megan and I love pets! I grew up with two family cats and took personal responsibility for their well-being. In high school I pet sat for neighborhood pups. Going off to college I missed my best friend kitty and would FaceTime with her! Always a joy to be reunited. Since then I have been intentional for caring for the cats and dogs I come into contact with. I am a happy dauntie (dog auntie) to a golden retriever and love to spoil him with play, adventures, and quality care. I am so excited to meet your pets and build a special bond that supports their individual needs. Pet care is a a passion of mine and I like to fit it into my rotating schedule. Days off are times to dedicate to pet care. Two days off a week are allotted to intentional time with pets. Following owner instructions is the key to pet well-being and happiness! Combining my own experience with cats, dogs, and rodents with the expert directions left by the pet’s loved ones I’m able to provide an optimal experience for all. Popping in to meet pets physical and emotional needs- feeding, watering, play, and walks as arranged!
“Sarah was outstanding! We have three pups and she was able to handle them all with ease! From taking care of all the routine tasks for the pups to providing some comfort during unexpected fireworks in the neighborhood it was a relief to have someone like Sarah providing care. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be circling back when we need care in the future!”

“Janie was great with our cats! Aside from the usual duties, she was consistent in getting three different cats four different medications each on different schedules - sincerely appreciated! I recommend her and would work with her again.”

“Hilary is an amazing pet sitter. She provides thorough and thoughtful updates for all 3 of our cats. She follows all care instructions and sends great pics with each update. We’re lucky we found her!”

“Megan is the first rover / pet sitter that I have ever booked, and I am so grateful for how wonderful our experience was. She accepted my booking with only a few days notice, came by the same day to meet my pup, and handled the visits perfectly. I could tell from the photos our boy had a great time and enjoyed his walks and visits with Megan. Would absolutely recommend and book again.”

“Sara communicated super well and sent me a lot of photos when she stopped in to check on my pups. It was a huge stress relief knowing they were being taken care of. Thank you!”
“Glory was a life-saver! I had last-minute long workdays, so I needed to find someone to come and hang with my dog who has a touch of separation anxiety. From Glory’s communication and pictures, I could tell that Huck warmed right up to her! And usually it takes him a little time to embrace new people. He was so excited to see her when she came over for their midday walk. Glory is reliable, communicative, and, of course, very good with animals! She will definitely be my go-to if I ever need help with Huck again.”

“Adisa started out as a ‘sub’ for me, but is now our regular dog sitter, and Hallelujah! She is wonderful. She takes Bix for walks, works with him on training, gives him rubs and he loves her! I will look forward to having her as part of our doggie support system for a long time to come.”

“Erica was super amazing! My mom came to visit from out of state so we planned a trip to the mountains and I wasn’t able to bring my husky I really needed a sitter last minute and Erica saved the day! She was super great and patient w my girl being stressed and anxious and was very responsive so I was able to enjoy my trip without worry. Thank you soo much Erica !!!! ?”
About: Ive taken care of great pyrenees ever since I was 10, my first was a boy, who was mixed and now I own two females all white. I adopted an 11 year old hospice cat and gave her a safe and final resting loving home. It was a honor and every cat I've adopted from shelters since, old or young has been a treasure. I love taking care of animals because I understand them and they love me. I am indigenous to the Caribbean so maybe it's the native epistemology. I am a full time online student. My classes do not meet and I go on the schedule I select for myself to finish my tasks. I have been so eager to get into pet care because it's perfect for my schedule. Im free all day, night, week, and weekend. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I make sure they have fresh water, are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, attention, and bathroom breaks, and feel safe and comfortable. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including any medications, special diets, or routines. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on creating a clean, stress-free environment and keeping owners updated so they know their pet is in good hands.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood
Rachel took great care of our cat while we were away; she even went above and beyond and spent some extra time with him since he was in a playful mood while she was here. Based on his talkative chatter upon our return, our boy was happy spending time with her, and everything was neat and clean when we returned. It was easy to see that animals gravitate toward her kind demeanor. Will request her again the next time we are away.

Laney was amazing with our two pups! We had excellent communication, prompt responses and kept us updated with her visits. We LOVED the pictures she sent of our boys playing. Our dogs are big and she did an amazing job with them. Theyre so so happy and cant wait to see her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
