“Makayla is awesome! Super easy to coordinate with, quick to respond, and took really good care of my girl. Makayla’s dog is very low key and friendly, and my dog got on great with him! Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Glory helped me out on such short notice and took amazing care of my girl! She’s quick to respond, sends updates throughout the day, and cares so much about the dog she’s looking after. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“Erin was WONDERFUL!! My puppy is velcro and I have been working on getting him to be “ok” away. Unfortunately for Erin, she was our guinea pig. She took our puppy in with open arms, flaws and all, and treated him like her own. He came back so happy! Thank you so, so much Erin!”

About: Hey my name is Myranda and for starters I’d like to say that I’m not a professional dog caretaker but it’s my dream to be one and give your dog a home when you can’t be. I am a mother of 2 fur babies a 14 year old Shitzhu (Sammy) that passed recently, 5 year old pug mix (princess). They each have such different needs and personalities I’ve adapted very quick to all, a challenge has never been an issue for me i’ve made sure every animal I’ve worked with has been loved and cared for like my own while also being strict on the guidelines and requirements requested by the owner. I’ve worked in multiple Doggy daycares/boarding throughout the years and learned plenty, the only reason I stopped is to start the path to becoming a vet tech! Life does get in the way sometimes but my passion is to work with animals in anyway and be the person you can always trust and rely on. I’ve engaged with many types of dogs from a teacup Yorkie named Layla to a 80lb boxer named Fraser. The bigger they are the bigger the baby! Size has never been an issue. I have a large fenced in back yard, and air conditioner throughout my home for your dogs comfort. I definitely am not a type of sitter to lock a dog away all day. I do prefer a crate trained dog for nighttime but I am flexible bring your own crate or dog bed if not I have some. I have extra toys, food, bowls, leashes and treats to make it easier on the owner and make the doggie just a little bit happier. To wrap up I basically am your 100% day in and day out dog lover, I want to use this money to help pursue my career in the veterinary field so you can always trust that I’m not doing this for the extra few bucks but because I truly am passionate about the care and wellbeing of your fur baby and hopefully my new furry friend. Thank you! Ps. And my prices are pretty low because I know things are tough right now and if I could help out someone I definitely will, I am flexible with almost everything and we could always negotiate. I am doing rover full time. Although I am a mother it’s my goal to make each dog I sit feel like home, whether that’s cuddled up with the kids and I, sunbathing outside with me, or just playing with the other dogs. Depending on the dog I am watching I will feed them based on their specific diet, walk them in the morning and afternoon and then spend some relaxing time in the cool house especially during the hot summer days. If they prefer to be outside I will make sure they’re hydrated and let them run and play with my dogs. But also on the other hand if they like to just kick back and relax I am always happy to rub belly’s and give cuddles.
“Sophie was a wonderful, attentive sitter who kept me up to date with everything going on while babysitting my dog. She provides frequent updates and photos. 10/10 would hire again”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was young! I treat all of the dogs like family and my number one goal is for them to be as comfortable as possible while away from their favorite people. I do boarding along with my Son Derek, he has over 325 5 star reviews on Rover that accurately portray the experience your dogs will have when staying with us. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and am always open to meeting beforehand! I am retired and always around to spend time with the Pet's I look after. I really love watching the dogs play and participate with them often. They like to crowd around me and watch me drink coffee while I listen to the radio. It sets the stage to settle down after fun time. Pet's need their quiet time too. I do dog boarding and am also available for drop ins and house sittings! I am with the dogs inside and outside. I have a big backyard and they love it! Fresh water and we follow your feed schedule. I treat all our 'Pet Guest's' like they are family. If I am the 'Guest Caregiver', I do the same so your Pet feels comfortable. Our house is their house. I do the same for Pet Sitting.
“Winnie had a great time at Jessica’s house playing with Reggie and Frankie! Great backyard to explore, and great communication. Would definitely book again!”

“Chelsea and Chuck are the sweetest and have the most beautiful property! They were very accommodating for a last minute request and will certainly be my new go-to!”

About: Over the years, friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, and love their pets like my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments—from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra patience. My priority is making sure your pup feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. I can take dogs out for walks, bathroom breaks, or playtime whenever they need. I’m available for boarding on weekends and weekdays and can easily adjust to fit your pet’s routine. I have a large fenced-in yard where pets can safely play and explore. Since I work from home, I’m able to give them plenty of attention, regular bathroom breaks, and exercise. I always prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment so your furry family member feels right at home.
“Yael was flexible, prompt, and took such great care of Terra! She left happy and sleepy & I can tell that she was very well taken care of. Thank you so much!!”

“Susan is consistently conscientious, caring and flexible! I never worry one bit about the safety or happiness of my dog while she is with her. My dog's excitement when we pull up to her house is all the proof I need that she enjoys being there. I would recommend Susan 1000%. She is hands down the best!”

About: I have been a dog owner for the last 16 years (I have had a cat as well). I have also been helping a dog rescue with fostering and my current dog is a "foster fail" :), e.g. I ended up keeping him after fostering. I am software engineer working from home and have a dog of my own so taking care of an extra one works out great. I do frequent walks regardless. I have a spacious apartment bordering the Bear Creek green belt for great and stimulating walks. I also have access to grass areas just outside the door when quick breaks are needed. My own dog is really relaxed and mostly does his own thing. While he was a puppy I fostered dogs and did Rover hosting as well so he got used to other dogs from the start.
“Corin was amazing, AGAIN! She was able to provide day care for our youngest pup last minute as we had to get repairs done at our house. Corin sent pics and updates throughout the day, which shows how much she cares. Thank you!”

I live in Lakewood with my partner, Kory, and would love to meet your pet! I have no pets in my home right now. I worked with Rover some years ago in my home state of Massachusetts. I really enjoyed it then and have been looking forward to when I had some spare time to do it again. I am working part time now and Kory works full time from home which provides flexibility. I have been surrounded by pets since I was a child and I have helped to care for friends and family’s pets for several years. I can walk, feed, care for, host and visit both dogs and cats with various sets of needs. I have experience with puppies and kittens as well as elderly or special needs pets. I am pretty flexible with my schedule right now and would love to work with you to find a routine that works for everyone. I live in a two bedroom apartment with no other pets. I have plenty of space to bring your pet's favorite scratching posts, beds, toys, etc. My complex has an on site dog park, lots of open green space and it borders a park with a ton of walking trails. I’m comfortable using crates for dogs and helping with many types of special needs for both cats and dogs.

“We left our puppy Eila with Sam for daycare for 3 days and she did an incredible job! It was our first time leaving our puppy with someone else and she made sure to make us feel reassured and sent lots of photos throughout the day. By day 3, our puppy was running up to Sam’s door excited for her day with her! Her pug Stella is also so sweet and got along great with Eila. I would definitely trust her and recommend her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood
Janie was so awesome! She clearly loves dogs! And is just a very good human. Janie nows how to introduce them and handles them with so much fun and love! My husky mix Gypsy immediately felt comfortable in her home and had the best time. I truly lucked out that she was available last minute.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our dog sitters last night! They watched our dog until 11 PM while we were at a concert, which was such a huge help and gave us complete peace of mind. From the moment we met them, they were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and caring. It was obvious our dog was in great hands and being well cared for the entire evening. Knowing we could relax and enjoy our night out without worrying meant everything. We truly appreciate their kindness, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. Highly recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy and dependable pet sitters!

I couldn’t recommend Solomon and his tribe (precious son and dog) enough to watch my little guy. Solomon first watched Rocky for 2 weeks back in January when he was only 7 months old. His care and cuddles were above and beyond and Rocky now whines to have a playdate at their house. I highly entrust Solomon with Rocky’s wellbeing. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a meet & greet with Katrina and Mark and they were so welcoming to Sparky, he felt so comfortable in their home. I really appreciated the meet and greet, as it always feels better as a dog parent to meet before day care or boarding. Sparky has had 2 day care visits and the 2nd time it was a relief that he did not need his anxiety meds. He just feels so at home and I think he loves the backyard! But most of all as Katrina send me pics throughout his stay I can tell he enjoys spending time with Katrina! Katrina is very responsive and I appreciate her keeping me informed if there were any changes that were not expected in Sparky’s feeding and medication situation. Katrina also has this calm demeanor about her and I am grateful Sparky has a caring sitter. I was not expecting this but on his 1st daycare it seemed like he didn’t want to leave and hesitated to go to the car! That’s a good sign! Thank you Katrina and Mark for taking such great care of Sparky!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lakewood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
