“I would highly recommend Noah for dog daycare. He is always so easy to work with and Myla, who has issues with separation anxiety, has done great being left at his house! I appreciate all the pictures and updates and I look forward to dropping Myla at his house twice a week in January on a full-time basis as I know she’s somewhere where she’s happy and well taken care of!”

“Amazing people and care! My pup never wanted to leave, he had such a fun time! Always tired when he came back home and clearly well looked after during the day. 100/10 recommend Chelsea and Charles!!”

“Glory helped me out on such short notice and took amazing care of my girl! She’s quick to respond, sends updates throughout the day, and cares so much about the dog she’s looking after. Couldn’t recommend more!”

“Diane and Chris were the best! Miles made himself right at home — I’m pretty sure he didn’t even miss me 😅. They gave him tons of love, and he came home happy, tired, and freshly spoiled. Couldn’t have asked for better sitters — so glad I found them!”

“Susan was fantastic! Lots of communication throughout the day. Olive doesn’t warm up to everyone but she definitely appreciated Susan and her welcoming home. :) See you guys again soon!”

“Erin was WONDERFUL!! My puppy is velcro and I have been working on getting him to be “ok” away. Unfortunately for Erin, she was our guinea pig. She took our puppy in with open arms, flaws and all, and treated him like her own. He came back so happy! Thank you so, so much Erin!”

“Janie was absolutely wonderful with Nugget. She sent me updates and pictures, and took time to make him feel comfortable. I would use her any time without a doubt. Thank you for your professionalism and special care for my baby boy.”

About: I have been taking care of pets for most of my life. We had a family dog who lived to be 18 years old and I also was the neighborhood go to for pet sitting while growing up. My schedule is very open right now. I’m open to hanging with pets pretty much any time and any day! I will work your needs into my schedule. I live in a second story condo with a balcony. I have plenty of grassy outdoor space to take pets outside. I can let the pets hang out on the balcony with or without supervision.
“We had a great experience with our dog sitter and felt really comfortable leaving our dogs in their care. Our dogs were well cared for in a warm, home-like environment, which gave us peace of mind. We came home to happy dogs and would definitely use them again!”

About: Had indoor dogs most of my life. After buying my home in Lakewood, had a dog door installed even though I did not have my own dog knowing I would frequently have dogs in the house. I have frequently cared for dogs when family and/or friends were out of town, but nothing official. I've worked from home for 25 years. Real Estate Broker in west metro Denver area. With the interest rates and political climate, my business has been slow this year (like most brokers) As long as I can still ride my bike and talk with clients over the phone and occasionally show a house, I have time to walk or hang out with with your dog. As stated above, I have been a real estate broker for 25 years. I have been in thousands of homes in all neighborhoods. Securing a home is second nature to me and I give my buyers lectures on not touching things. I also coach for the local high school MTB team, so between real estate and coaching I get background checked more than once a year. Both the real estate job and coaching would go away if I could not pass a background check. Never risking that.
“Winnie had a great time at Jessica’s house playing with Reggie and Frankie! Great backyard to explore, and great communication. Would definitely book again!”

About: I'm a life-long dog lover and caretaker. I currently parent 2 dogs, a 13-year-old wheaten terrier, Dillan, and a 3-year-old Airedale Terrier, Sammie. I am not currently working so I spend a lot of time with the dogs at home, taking them on long walks, or hikes in the mountains (if that is of interest). I have a 2000 square foot house with a doggie door that leads out to a very large secure fenced in backyard where dogs love to play and fetch. I am home most of the day and for the 2-3 hours I may be out, your dog will have time to rest and recover for more playtime when I return. I'm happy to crate your dog if you prefer but I also have set safe dog rooms in the house with dog beds and gigantic windows looking out into the backyard so they can continue to keep an eye out for squirrels.
“Resa and her pups are amazing! Ryot had a great time. He came home happy and tired out! Will definitely ask for her help again. It’s such peace of mind when you find someone you can feel good about leaving your dog with. Thank you, Resa!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood
YUEHUA is an excellent dog sitter! Our pupper is normally shy and a bit standoffish with new people, but YUEHUA had our dog warm up so quickly and even took her on a walk on a HOT summer day. YUEHUA went above and beyond, and I am so appreciative of her taking our dog on such short notice and doing an amazing job sitting. Absolutely recommend, and we will be using her services again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with our dog sitters last night! They watched our dog until 11 PM while we were at a concert, which was such a huge help and gave us complete peace of mind. From the moment we met them, they were incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and caring. It was obvious our dog was in great hands and being well cared for the entire evening. Knowing we could relax and enjoy our night out without worrying meant everything. We truly appreciate their kindness, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. Highly recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy and dependable pet sitters!

I couldn’t recommend Solomon and his tribe (precious son and dog) enough to watch my little guy. Solomon first watched Rocky for 2 weeks back in January when he was only 7 months old. His care and cuddles were above and beyond and Rocky now whines to have a playdate at their house. I highly entrust Solomon with Rocky’s wellbeing. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a meet & greet with Katrina and Mark and they were so welcoming to Sparky, he felt so comfortable in their home. I really appreciated the meet and greet, as it always feels better as a dog parent to meet before day care or boarding. Sparky has had 2 day care visits and the 2nd time it was a relief that he did not need his anxiety meds. He just feels so at home and I think he loves the backyard! But most of all as Katrina send me pics throughout his stay I can tell he enjoys spending time with Katrina! Katrina is very responsive and I appreciate her keeping me informed if there were any changes that were not expected in Sparky’s feeding and medication situation. Katrina also has this calm demeanor about her and I am grateful Sparky has a caring sitter. I was not expecting this but on his 1st daycare it seemed like he didn’t want to leave and hesitated to go to the car! That’s a good sign! Thank you Katrina and Mark for taking such great care of Sparky!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lakewood commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
