“Irina and her boyfriend took excellent care of Griffin. He was so excited to be there and we received lots of pictures of the fun he was having. We enjoyed getting to know them and highly recommend them to others.”

“Cory did a great job with our 8 year old goldendoodle. Drop off and pickup was very smooth. We also received a photo during the stay which definitely helped as this was our first time using Rover and I was nervous leaving our pup with someone I don’t know!”

“Eric did a fantastic job watching my pup this past week on short notice while I was at work. He was very responsive and helpful, and made sure to send pictures here and there throughout the day. My pup came home happy and well looked after, and I could not be more grateful. We will definitely be back!”

“Kimberly has been amazing to work with, super flexible for last minute trips and cancellations and I really appreciate her being willing to look after my 4month old teething crazy puppy!”

“Luke was so accommodating! We had a very short notice requirement and he worked with us so well to accommodate our pups! They loved their time there and were so sad to leave. Thanks so much!!”

“Anna’s dog day care was amazing! We received lots of pics and videos during the day and I was able to rest easy at work knowing that my puppy was being taken such good care of. She even went on a walk in addition to the dogs getting to play out in a big yard most of the day. Anna is very trustworthy and reliable.”
About: I've interacted with dogs since a young age and am very comfortable around all types of animals. I have experience with training puppies (including my own) and have cared for dogs and cats for family friends since I was 13. I work from home and can take your dog on walks once or twice a day with potty breaks every 4-8 hours-- or more if needed! I have experience with reactive dogs and high-energy pups, making exercise no problem for your pet. I have a very friendly 5 year old dog at home that can keep your pet company, but can also separate the pets for doggy day-care options.
“Macha has now stayed with Kenneth two times, and I think she loves playing there with his two other dogs! He is good about keeping me informed about how she's doing and sending me photos as well. I was sad that I couldn't be with her for Christmas, but they made sure she was taken care of and gave her lots of toys and treats that I left there for her. I'm glad Macha feels happy and comfortable staying with Kenneth, and I would definitely take her back next time we have to go away. Thanks for taking care of my baby girl!!”

“Debra was great and Hudson has such a blast. She has a great fenced in yard that Hudson loved zooming around in. She sent a variety of pictures and videos throughout the day. Will absolutely book with her again!”

About: A Lifetime of Animal Stewardship My approach to pet care is rooted in a lifetime of experience. Growing up on a dairy farm, I learned the "dawn-to-dusk" responsibility of animal husbandry across multiple species. I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have served as a trusted sitter for dozens of friends and family members, managing everything from high-energy puppies to seniors with specific medical needs. What I bring to the table: • Farm-Raised: Comfortable with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. • A "Coach’s Eye": Attentive to health, movement, and behavior changes. • Total Reliability: A professional, mature environment where your dog is the priority. Structured, Work-From-Home Care Because I manage my professional life from home, your pet will enjoy a calm, consistent environment with minimal "alone time." My lifestyle is active and outdoors-focused, meaning your dog will receive meaningful engagement and physical activity tailored to their specific energy level and temperament. Professional Discipline & Training Consistency I have been a coach and a teacher and bring a professional level of discipline and observational skill to every stay. I understand that a "tired dog is a happy dog," but I also know that consistency is key. I pride myself on maintaining the exact training boundaries and command structures you’ve worked hard to establish. Whether it's leash manners or specific house rules, I adapt to your dog's routine to ensure they feel secure and settled. I live in a townhouse with an unfenced, shared lawn.
“Zevon has a great stay at Kristi’s! Big back yard for him to run around and play w other dogs. He even took a field trip to the local park. Would definitely use Kristi again!”

“Both my dogs settled in record time! Lindsay provided updates, report cards and plenty of pictures. It was a relief to see my pets sleeping on their backs next Lindsay. Her genuine love for pets was apparent from the first moment we all met. We are grateful to have found Lindsay and we wish her the best!”

About: We share our home with a 15 years young, grumpy old-man Chihuahua, a 7-year old Chihuahua mix, and a new Husky-mix puppy. Dogs provide us with so much love and kindness on a daily basis, that's why I believe we should offer that same kindness back to them! Rochelle has been caring for dogs for well over a decade, from totally healthy to those needing special care (medicine, slower walks, special feeding requirements). In general, our pups get along great with low-energy dogs and low-energy dogs are ideal clients! Though, the puppy can also help us with higher energy pups. Rochelle works from home full time. We REQUIRE a meet and greet prior to booking new clients, no exceptions. Due to medical concerns, Rochelle is only able to care for small to medium size dogs for the safety of your dog(s) and my own safety. Willing to consider dogs who are larger in size only if they have completed intensive behavioral training (such as therapy dog training or hunting dog training) in which your dog will respond to commands 100% of the time. Thank you for your understanding. Note: I had a name change in 2024 from Caitlyn to Rochelle. Ben was added to the account in 2026. We’re happy to share our home with pups!
“I can not say enough good things about Rebecca, she is so very thoughtful and kind and takes such good care of my dog for doggy day care in her home. Her home is beautiful and always clean, she provides toys and consistently goes above and beyond expectations. She has extensive history with dog training and I could not be happier with her! She is a blessing and we are thrilled to have met her!”
“I had a last-minute engagement come up with my son who was visiting from out of town, and since my dog, Stanley, suffers from separation anxiety and can no longer be left alone at my townhouse, I urgently needed to find care. I'm so grateful this gentleman was available on short notice to help out. Stanley has pretty severe anxiety—he tends to cry and whine when I’m gone, which has been frustrating and heartbreaking. We’ve been working closely with his vet and a trainer, trying everything from calming collars and thunder shirts to CBD, leaving an item of my clothing, and even having in-home sitters. Unfortunately, nothing has been a magic fix yet, but we’re continuing to try. That said, Stanley *loves* other people and dogs, and I was relieved to see he came home happy (and hungry!). They even kindly offered him some food when he didn’t want to eat his own, which I really appreciated. When my dinner reservation ran late, he was flexible and understanding about the pick-up time, which I also truly appreciated. Overall, a great experience, especially considering how last-minute and complex Stanley’s care can be. Thank you again!”

“Jay was very nice. He was gentle with our dog. Most importantly, he allowed our well behaved dog to have free access to his home with his dog instead of penning her up in a kennel during her stay. His home was easy to get to and he has a fenced backyard to keep his and my dog safe while outside. I would highly recommend him.”

“Deborah is great! My dog came home happy and tired. She specializes in small dogs and I love that my dog can play with other dogs his size in a safe environment. Deborah provided lots of pictures and updates too which I really appreciated.”

Anna’s dog day care was amazing! We received lots of pics and videos during the day and I was able to rest easy at work knowing that my puppy was being taken such good care of. She even went on a walk in addition to the dogs getting to play out in a big yard most of the day. Anna is very trustworthy and reliable.
We recently moved from Denver to Arvada and are exploring new Rovers to help with our dog, Woody. Chandrika and Kenneth were quick to respond to our inquiry and easy to coordinate with! They sent plenty of photos and Woody came home pooped from his fun day with them.

They came in incredibly clutch with a last-minute booking! They were wonderful to my Pup. Their dog was absolutely sweetness as well. Stanley had a good time and he was very tired when he got home from his fun adventure. We definitely will be contacting them again to watch Stanley. They were so loving with him. Loved the photos they sent!

Jaclyn was absolutely wonderful, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Her home is not only lovely, but it also feels incredibly safe and welcoming, which gave us so much peace of mind leaving our small pup in her care. She is kind, patient, and clearly has a natural way with dogs. Our pup can be a little rascal and anxious around other dogs, but he settled in beautifully thanks to her calm and attentive approach. And her sweet dog Norman is such a gentle, friendly companion, our pup did great. It’s clear Jaclyn truly cares, and that makes all the difference. We’ve already rebooked with her and feel so grateful to have found someone we trust. Highly recommend!

JA is great! He was able to accommodate a week-of Doggy Day Care request and was responsive and communicative, making it easy to coordinate a meet-and-greet on short notice and drop-off/pick-up times. Our dog liked and trusted him immediately and she seemed very happy with her stay at his house! He has a fenced in backyard and a cozy daybed where our dog was able to laze around during the day between yard time and a walk. She went to his house on two consecutive days and when I dropped her off on the second day she was very happy to see him and she settled in right away. JA sent photos throughout the day and made us feel very comfortable leaving our recently-adopted dog with him. We will certainly reach out to him for dog sitting again and we highly recommend him for dog care!

Brooke and Maura and Myka are amazing. They take care of my anxious dog as their own and my dog has grown to love them (sometimes she doesn’t want to come home). We won’t be using any other sitters & I would HIGHLY recommend and trust Brooke, Maura and Myka with your dog sitting needs too :)

Suzie makes a perfect and loving home for our dog while we are away. She took such great care of our Charlie. She was patient with his separation anxiety and created a space that he loved! She sent so many pictures and updates and we felt really confident that he was in great hands. I will definitley be using Suzie again.

Both my dogs settled in record time! Lindsay provided updates, report cards and plenty of pictures. It was a relief to see my pets sleeping on their backs next Lindsay. Her genuine love for pets was apparent from the first moment we all met. We are grateful to have found Lindsay and we wish her the best!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Arvada commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
