Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I run a recording studio and work entirely from home. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, timely feeding, regular play breaks, and a calm, supervised environment. My flexible schedule also makes it easy for me to accommodate specific routines, special needs, or last-minute requests.

Information LUKE B. would like to know about your pet
Important to Know About Your Pets As my schedule has grown and I regularly care for multiple dogs at once, it’s important that all pets in my home are a good fit for a shared environment. Dogs must be comfortable around others and should not exhibit aggression or consistent marking behavior indoors. While I do my best to accommodate different personalities, my ability to provide one-on-one management is limited during busy stays. Dogs that require constant supervision, strict separation, or special handling may not be the best fit for my current setup. I do have separate areas available, including a dog run, garage, and enclosed all-season room, for dogs who need space. However, dogs that mark indoors will need to remain in outdoor or designated separated areas during their stay. If your dog has a history of marking, they must arrive with and wear a belly band or diaper while inside. Please be upfront about your dog’s behavior, including any history of marking, territorial tendencies, or reactivity. This helps me ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all pets in my care.
A typical day
A Typical Day With Me Every day is tailored to each pet’s personality, age, and energy level, but I also maintain a structured routine to ensure a safe and balanced environment for all pets in my care. Morning: The day starts with breakfast, medication if needed, and supervised playtime. Dogs get potty breaks and outdoor time in the fenced yard or dog run to burn off energy in a controlled setting. Midday: This is usually a calmer period. Cats relax in cozy spots, nap, or get gentle attention. Dogs enjoy mental stimulation through basic training, enrichment activities, and structured play based on their needs and temperament. Afternoon: I rotate playtime and interaction to make sure each dog gets attention while keeping the group dynamic safe and manageable. High-energy dogs can enjoy supervised play like fetch or scent games, while others may prefer a more relaxed pace. Cats get interactive play, lap time, or quiet companionship. Evening: Dinner, medication if needed, and a mix of playtime or wind-down time depending on the pet. Dogs have evening potty breaks and settle in for the night, while cats enjoy calm attention and a quiet environment. For everyone’s safety, all interactions are supervised and structured. Dogs who require separation, have marking tendencies, or need to wear belly bands are managed accordingly to maintain a clean and low-stress space.

Trusted, Quality Pet Care
Pet care experience
What sets me apart from other sitters? I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have cared for all kinds of personalities and needs. My mom ran a Heartland animal shelter from the time I was 13 until she passed in 2021, and I was very involved in the day-to-day care. I helped with feeding, socializing, and handling animals with a wide range of temperaments. That experience taught me patience, confidence, and how to really understand animal behavior. I’m also an Army veteran, which shaped my sense of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail. I bring that mindset into how I care for every pet. I’ve always had pets of my own, too. I raised my cat Casper from birth until he passed at 18, and I currently care for four cats, including an elderly 18-year-old who was his best friend. I also have two 3-year-old brothers, a 4-year-old calico, and my young, energetic dog, Broly. Living with pets at all stages of life has made me comfortable with everything from senior care to active playtime and basic training. Between my lifelong experience, hands-on shelter work, military background, and daily life caring for multiple pets, I provide safe, attentive, and genuinely compassionate care.

Reviews

Leaving the country is stressful, but Luke took phenomenal care of my pup! Super reliable, great communication, and genuine care. Will definitely book again!

Luke has a great place to host many dogs. Our dog loves to be around others so we picked Luke to watch him as his backyard and home are segmented in a way that allows dogs to play but also have solo time when needed. Thanks again Luke!

Luke took good care of Ronin! Would definitely leave Ronin again with him.

We felt very comfortable leaving Ernie with Luke. He sent us pictures each day and had a few other dogs for him to play with. Will definitely be contacting Luke again in the future.
