“Alexandra and Jason are great and their pup Amy is a sweet girl. I enjoy how communicative they are and the quick respond time. I always get updates on how my pup is doing and pictures. I’ll definitely be booking with Alexandra again!”

“Kyle has been great watching my pup! My dog has certain quirks so I get very nervous about people watching him but he’s been very accommodating and amazing at responding and re-assuring me everything is going well!”

“Fantastic with our puppy. Lots of pictures. I was able to relax knowing Tucker was well cared for. Our car broke down on way to pick up our puppy and they were beyond understanding.”

About: I’ve had my fair share of having my own dogs and taking care of Family & Friends dogs. Everyone can rely on me when it’s needed!! I’m a very attentive person. I pay a lot of attention to details. I am a full time Stay at Home Mom. I have 2 young kids. My kid’s love animals. I can wake up anytime during the night to take care of needs in my household, even our dog and others. It would be just me taking care of the dogs. My kids will be in school during school hours. And I have plenty of time to give. And more. If dogs are around, I will supervise my kids. I never leave them with any dogs unsupervised. We will go on walks after homework. And have a few hours of play time before bed. Just to exhaust everyone in my home. We have a good size yard and it’s fenced. Half is grassed and other side is cement. Which our dog loves to lay and sun bathe during the summer.
“Miranda was very friendly and easy to work with. She was always quick to respond when I reached out and was available when we needed her. She sent photos and updates when I checked in and was sweet with our busy boy. We really appreciated her taking care of Lewis today!”

“Lorraine is Amazing. Shyla loves going to her house playing with her friends and hanging out with her favorite people. Fur baby loving family Shyla will definitely use Lorraine as a home away from home”

About: I have been a dog owner for the last 16 years (I have had a cat as well). I have also been helping a dog rescue with fostering and my current dog is a "foster fail" :), e.g. I ended up keeping him after fostering. I am software engineer working from home and have a dog of my own so taking care of an extra one works out great. I do frequent walks regardless. I have a spacious apartment bordering the Bear Creek green belt for great and stimulating walks. I also have access to grass areas just outside the door when quick breaks are needed. My own dog is really relaxed and mostly does his own thing. While he was a puppy I fostered dogs and did Rover hosting as well so he got used to other dogs from the start.
“Definitely recommend and will use Brandi again to look after my dogs. I was able to go to work with a great sense of peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in exceptional hands. 6 stars if I could!”

“Victoria was absolutely incredible with my dogs! Both of my pups have special needs—one wears a diaper and the other has limited mobility in her back legs—which can honestly be a lot to manage. But Victoria handled everything with so much patience, care, and genuine affection. She didn’t just meet their physical needs; she went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I could tell she was attentive and truly present with them throughout the day. It’s such a relief to find someone who not only understands the extra care required but embraces it with a kind heart. I can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I've owned dogs my whole life and am very knowledgeable of how to train and care for them. I've owned many different pets from scaly friends to furry ones, both large and small. I have a great deal of knowledge of how to care for both puppies and older companions. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you! I currently work from home so I have plenty of time for your furry friends. I have two very friendly and well trained dogs that love having company. We also have a cat that gets along very well with them. I have plenty of space in my back yard that is enclosed by a 6ft fence. We (dogs & I) go for walks and have plenty of play time during the day. I feed my girls twice a day and give them treats once in a while. Neither of my girls are food or treat aggressive. I have a couple of neighbor kids who come over and love to play with and show love to my pets. All of the pets in my home are well loved and cared for.
About: I've cared for several different pets since I was 12. I have always been drawn to animals and have always owned my own. From hamsters and hermit crabs to big and small dogs I have owned and cared for them all. I know how much anxiety and stress can come with finding someone to care for your pets from experience and that's what made me want to join Rover. I want to be that trustworthy and dependable care taker for your little prized possession! I'm not in a position to own my own dog right now so that's another reason that prompted me to join, I want to get my dog fix when I can! I have cared for family pets, friends, and even strangers occasionally from social media looking for last minute care. I have experience giving dogs medication, cleaning ears, bathing, helping senior dogs get some exercise in, etc. I am open to fulfilling your pet's needs anyway I can! I work from home part time making my own schedule so I have flexibility to care for your pets in my home or walk them while you are away at work, vacation, staycation, anything! I can always make time to help lighten your load and love on your pups. I have a fenced yard with grass, concrete, and lots of space to roam around and play fetch, roll around, and chase any squirrels that may run by! I also have a home that is 3 levels so if they need some space they are welcome to have it on any floor. I'm also open to crating if that helps with the feeling of safety and comfort!
“Leyah had so much fun with Cara and her family. Their house is perfect to host a dog and she even have furry friends to tire her out during the day. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Glory helped me out on such short notice and took amazing care of my girl! She’s quick to respond, sends updates throughout the day, and cares so much about the dog she’s looking after. Couldn’t recommend more!”

About: *** We are moving to Montbello on 9/1! Currently only accepting bookings in Lakewood until AUGUST 10th. *** Hey I’m Makayla! I live in Lakewood with my partner, Kory, and would love to meet your pet! I have no pets in my home right now. I worked with Rover some years ago in my home state of Massachusetts. I really enjoyed it then and have been looking forward to when I had some spare time to do it again. I am working part time now and Kory works full time from home which provides flexibility. I have been surrounded by pets since I was a child and I have helped to care for friends and family’s pets for several years. I can walk, feed, care for, host and visit both dogs and cats with various sets of needs. I have experience with puppies and kittens as well as elderly or special needs pets. I am a social worker by trade but currently only working part time and my partner, Kory, works full time from home. I am pretty flexible with my schedule right now and would love to work with you to find a routine that works for everyone. I live in a two bedroom apartment with no other pets. I have plenty of space to bring your pet's favorite scratching posts, beds, toys, etc. My complex has an on site dog park, lots of open green space and it borders a park with a ton of walking trails. I’m comfortable using crates for dogs and helping with many types of special needs for both cats and dogs.

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, including several with special needs and disabilities, so I understand the importance of patience, attentiveness, and compassionate care. I’ve also spent many years dog and cat sitting for friends and family, caring for pets with all kinds of personalities, routines, and energy levels. I know our pets are family, and I would love the opportunity to provide a safe, loving, and reliable environment for your dog or cat while you’re away! I work full-time from home and am always there during the day. I can schedule weekend care but need a bit more notice as my social calendar can fill up. No pets at home. I can have yours over during the day. Night time is ok if it's not more than a couple of nights, and as long as your pet is quiet/well-behaved.
About: 30 Years of Rescue Experience & Multi-Dog Mastery What sets us apart is a lifetime of hands-on experience that you won’t find with a casual sitter. For the past three decades, our home has been a sanctuary for at least four rescue dogs at any given time. We aren't just dog lovers; we are seasoned caregivers who understand the complexities of canine behavior, pack dynamics, and the unique needs of rescue animals. 🛡️ Senior & Special Needs Care Having raised many rescues from their first day home through their senior years, we are highly experienced in senior care. We understand the patience required for dogs with mobility issues, hearing or vision loss, and the strict schedules needed for medication administration. Your "old soul" will find a quiet, respectful, and accommodating environment here. My Routine: Full-Time Care & Companionship Being retired means your dog is my primary focus, not a side project. Because I am home all day, I provide the constant companionship and supervision that rescue dogs and seniors often need to feel secure. Continuous Supervision: I don't have an "office" to go to. Whether it’s potty breaks, play sessions, or just a quiet nap by my feet, your dog will have a human present throughout the day. Structured Days: Having managed a four-dog household for 30 years, I thrive on routine. We follow a consistent schedule for feedings, walks, and medication to ensure every guest feels stable and settled. Active Presence: My schedule is flexible, allowing me to adapt to your dog’s specific energy levels—whether that means frequent backyard exploration or extra snuggle time on the sofa. A Secure, 3.25–Acre Haven My home is designed for dogs to be dogs, safely. I reside on 3.25 acres of land, providing your pet with plenty of room to explore, sniff, and run. For your peace of mind, my property is fully fenced, ensuring that even the most curious explorers stay safe and secure within my boundaries. Safety & Supervision With 30 years of experience managing multi–dog households, safety is my second nature. Never Unattended: Because I am retired, dogs are supervised during all outdoor play sessions. Safe Integration: I use my deep understanding of pack dynamics to ensure all interactions are calm and positive. Secure Transitions: I maintain a double–gate mentality to ensure no "door–bolting" accidents occur. A Rescue–Ready Environment I understand that a new environment can be stressful, especially for rescues. My home is set up to be a low–stress sanctuary: Quiet Spaces: I have dedicated areas where dogs can retreat if they need a break or a nap. Senior-Friendly: No steep stairs or slippery floors to worry about—just a flat, comfortable layout perfect for aging joints. Clean & Maintained: I keep a tidy, hazard–free home to ensure your pet’s health and hygiene are prioritized.
“Ryot had the best day playing with Maple. He came home happy and tired! Erica is amazing! I felt so comfortable leaving Ryot with her. She was very welcoming and spent extra time with him during a thunderstorm - which meant a lot to us. Will definitely be back - if they will have us.”

“Makayla is awesome! Super easy to coordinate with, quick to respond, and took really good care of my girl. Makayla’s dog is very low key and friendly, and my dog got on great with him! Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Hannah took care of my Senior Brandy and my puppy Sadie for 12 hours of day care. She took some photos and even washed Sadies pad when she went in her crate. I hope to use her again soon.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Morrison
Margi and her daughter were great! We just took our dog Sable over for the day, but Margi was nice enough to take a few photos which we really appreciated. It seemed like Sable was sad to come home to an empty house since she had some dogs to hang out with there! I’d definitely book her again.

Michelle is really great. She sends me pictures and an update of Emma during her time with her. She understands my concerns regarding Emma when the weather starts to...do almost anything outside of just sunshine, where she tends to have some anxiety. She is also very flexible in her availability. I hope she continues to watch Emma whenever possible.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
