“After a lot of issues with pet sitters I’m happy that I have been able to find someone I can trust. We love using Alyssa. Always is a great communicator and has been flexible with us when our plans change. We will continue to use her and recommend her to our friends with pets.”

“Ella is literally the best! Sometimes it’s hard for me to trust other walkers with my pup because Ella is so great with her. She’s communicative and patient and truly treats your dog just like her own.”

“Ryan dealt wonderfully with my very nervous and untrusting rescue puppy. Although the walk did not go as planned, he did an excellent job of communicating the issues with me and handling the situation professionally and calmly. Thank you for all your help!”

“Don always takes great care of my girl and I truly appreciate someone to walk my dog and care for her as much as I do. Xena is a sweet girl and I truly appreciate Don be as equally sweet to her and patient with her.”

About: Hi! I’m Laura, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a small farm where I helped care for horses, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and just about every furry friend you can imagine. That experience taught me how to be patient, attentive, and comfortable with animals of all personalities and energy levels. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and am now a proud pet mom to my two cats, Lulu and Loki, and my dog, Odella. I understand how much our pets mean to us because mine are truly part of my family, and I’ll treat yours with the same love and care. I work remotely from my home in Golden, which gives me a flexible schedule for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, medications (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I love spending time outdoors and am always happy to take active dogs on long walks or adventures that match their comfort and energy level. For pets who prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy to provide cuddles, enrichment, and a calm, reassuring presence at home. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. My goal is for you to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for every step of the way. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family! I work remotely from home in Golden, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and provide attentive care throughout the day. Whether your pet needs walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, or just some extra companionship, I’m happy to accommodate their routine whenever possible. I strive to be as flexible as I can to meet you and your pet’s needs. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if requested and I’m comfortable administering them), and any other special care your pet needs. I work remotely from home, so I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable visits throughout the day. I’ll always prioritize your pet’s safety by using secure leashes and harnesses on walks, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I’ll also send plenty of photo updates and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the same love and attention I’d give my own pets.

“This is our second time working with Sora for our puppy Hans. Would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting a thoughtful, responsible, and communicative person to watch their pup!”

“Summerlyn is the real deal. She is professional, attentive, and truly an animal lover. She communicates and works with you for anything that may come up, going above and beyond. My cat Newton and I truly appreciate her!! That said, I definitely plan on booking her again in the future!!”

“Alyssa did such an awesome job with my pup!! I was a little nervous having someone else walk her as she is a bit shy, but Alyssa’s calm and loving presence immediately put my dog at ease and returned from her walk happier than ever! I will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend 😊 thanks Alyssa!!”

“Emi is one of the best walkers and sitters I have ever had! She was perfect in following my senior dog's complicated instructions, and she was excellent in her communication. Emi gave my dog excellent walks and he loved her so much. I cannot recommend her enough to anybody who wants excellent care!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, ranging in size and temperament and I've have been trusted by friends and family to take care of their dogs while they were away or unavailable. I have volunteered at animal shelters where I was responsible for walking and feeding dogs who were waiting for their forever home. I'm experience with training puppies as well as avoiding triggers and handling aggression. My partner and I are recent foster failures and now have our 3rd pack member, Mack, who we never leave behind and loves adventuring with us. Time spent with a dog is the number once source of joy in my life, and if you're reading this, it's probably yours too. My current availability is very open and I am available Mon-Sun at any time of day. (This may change in the new few weeks-months). I can accommodate weekday walks during work hours and occasional weekends. Safety is my top priority. One of my top values when caring for my dog or someone else's dog is I always want to set them up for success because I know most incidents are avoidable. I always mare sure the dog is leashed properly and in a safe/stress free setting so they can enjoy their time outdoors. I are very respectful of how others take care of their pets and do what I can maintain consistency, meaning following care institutions, feeding schedules and other routines. If the pet is staying in my home, we do have our dog Mack to keep them company. He is a very chill dog. If problems do arise between dogs, Mack is crate trained and can be crated to provide separation. We also have an enclosed patio so they can spend time outside.

“Annastin saved the day, when my dog sitter hurt her foot one day before a trip, Annastin stepped in to walk Bowie every day. Very friendly, very professional, and she gave a bit extra for every walk. Bowie's a big high energy dog and she did a great job.”

“Mary did a "practice walk" with our dog an anticipation of her first housesitting job with us next month. She handled our dog skillfully. She is clearly experienced in dealing with a wide variety of dog types and behaviors. The walk left us confident that she will do well with him while we are gone.”

Katie (Kathryn) is wonderful! She has such a calm energy about her and we are so glad she is close by for drop ins and walks and house sitting if needed. I can tell the girls (our two huskies) are in good hands with her attention to detail and sweet energy. 💕 Thanks for getting to know our girls, Katie, and being patient with the one who is a little more scared of new people!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
