About: Hey there! For the past several years, I’ve been the unofficial co-Rover helping my girlfriend with her Rover business. I've enjoyed getting to meet all the cats and dogs so much that I finally decided it was time to step out of the shadows and start my own profile, and I'm excited to get started! I have hands-on experience with pets of all ages, from high-energy puppies to senior animals who need a gentle hand or medication. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind, which is why I pride myself on being reliable, highly communicative, and quick to respond. I'm a lifelong pet person - I've raised both dogs and cats for over two decades. I currently have two of my own (a dog named Bobby Boucher and a cat named Goose), but I'd love to help take care of your furry family members, too! Willing to take on pet care full time, open schedule for hosting and drop ins as well. This includes overnight care or any specialized service per request. It's important not only to take care of pets, but to make them feel at home and nurtured. this includes not only the specialized care per owner on the type of food, bathroom, and medical routines necessary to properly implement them into a different space, but also a sufficient amount of play and activity, which is something I strive to give every pet I watch.
“Don always takes great care of my girl and I truly appreciate someone to walk my dog and care for her as much as I do. Xena is a sweet girl and I truly appreciate Don be as equally sweet to her and patient with her.”

“Kim was so great, very communicative, punctual, reliable, and worked with me to make sure my puppy got everything she needed. Will definitely be working with Kim again!”

About: I’m Casey, a student at the Colorado School of Mines studying engineering physics. When I’m not hitting the books, I love going on walks, the occasional hike, and skiing during the winter. I also love baking and even keep a sourdough starter named JJ! I’ve had 5 pets growing up, starting with my first dog when I was just 2 years old, and 4 cats since then. Because I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, I know that every single pet has a wildly unique personality, and my favorite thing to do is figure out exactly what makes them tick. I’ve loved them all—from my lazy childhood dog Tucker, who was so passive he never growled no matter how hard you squeezed him , to my cat Lizzie, who had a resting grumpy face but was such a sweet lap cat that you simply couldn't move once she sat down. I am incredibly observant and patient with pets' specific needs. Back at home in Seattle, I have a timid senior cat, Josie, who has arthritis in her knees and only drinks from the faucet until her face is covered in water. I also have a playful "dog-cat" named Lucie who loves her boxes and begs to sit on the porch in the sun, and another cat named MeeMee who will chirp at you from across the room when she realizes she's alone. I bring this same grounded, detail-oriented love to every pet I care for. Whether your animal needs a quiet companion or an active walking buddy, you can trust me to be responsible, communicative, and invested in your furry best friend! I'm currently doing research part time with flexible hours, so I'll have plenty of time to adjust to each pet's needs, whether that means a long walk/hike or some quick cuddles. Each pet is different and I'd love to learn what each one needs and make sure they get as much exercise or attention as desired.
“Melina did wonderful with Willow; she warmed up to Melina almost immediately. Melina also provided plenty of updates with pictures so I was never worried about my little girl.”

“Brittany has been amazing with my dog Khloe, especially when Khloe wasn’t feeling her best. She was so caring, attentive, and made sure Khloe was comfortable. She’s always prompt, reliable, and has great availability, which makes scheduling super easy.”

“Hazel is a repeat client of Ryan’s and she loves him! Ryan’s genuine love and caring for animals come through as soon as you meet him. He is reliable and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend him!”

“Lauren is the best! Clearly looks out for our dog, adjusting schedules with plenty of communication and care for the weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Thank you Lauren!”

I enter dogsitting jobs prioritizing your rules, your boundaries, with the understanding that I serve and support your family. I’m just out of school on the job search so I have plenty of time and energy to care for and play with your pets. I have lots of flexibility and openness in my schedule. I ensure to thoughtfully check on your pets, respecting your wishes and instructions to keep them on necessary routines while maintaining good habits. I am adaptable, detailed, and mindful.
“She was amazing. Needed her to walk my 3 dogs at night for three nights. Was always on time and sent pics of the animals to let me know she was there and after the walk. I will definitely use her again. You can honestly see the love she has for animals.”

About: Hi! I'm Sara, I'm your local seamstress part time pet service provider. I am not limited to Cats and Dogs, I also love Rats, Bunnies, and all of the small animals. I was a key holder for the recurring clients I've had for 8 years when I lived in Chicago. I have experience with administering medication as well. Hanging out with animals always brightens my day so you will be assured that I'll give your pets the extra attention they need to be happy and comfortable. I am a fulltime seamstress but, my schedule doesn't interfere with my availability. I'm always transparent with my clients about my schedule. I have weekends off and I'm home by 4:30p during the week. When I arrive I'll greet your pets gently. For skittish cats I wait for them to approach me. No pressure. I follow a Time and Task schedule provided by the pet parent. I'm intentional about play time and exercise each day. I'm eager to know your pet's personality, tendencies, and any routine actions they need. Before I leave for work, I locate each animal to ensure they are okay and not stuck or in distress.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Applewood
Ryan was so great with our dog!!! He was always punctual, had great communication, and was a great match to her high energy! Whenever changes in our schedule came up he was super responsive and we felt confident trusting him with our sweet pup! Highly highly recommend!!
Jordan is so wonderful! My dog Douglas loved her the minute he met her. She’s very responsive to feedback about his needs, and things specific to him. With him only having 3 legs, I wanted her to be aware of how long she’s walking him, and what he’s doing. She is so thorough with her notes and honest about everything! She even makes sure he gets a treat and has full water before she leaves. Douglas and I are lucky to have her!

Silvia is the best! She has been walking Penny often for the past three years; she is reliable, communicative and it’s obvious she really loves dogs! Penny loves her! She maps the walks, sends a detailed report and sends the cutest photos! I highly recommend her!

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
