“Shannon took our dog out for a nice walk with short notice, which we appreciated very much as we were at the hospital. The report card showed the route and relayed how much our dog enjoyed the walk. Thank you, Shannon! You're our 'go to' for our beloved pets.”

“When I first started looking for a dog walker I messaged 4 people on the Rover app, we were out of town and delayed a day from coming home. So this was the last minute need help with her dog situation. Sasha was the only person that was available. 2 were unavailable which we understood and one did not get back to us. Sasha was on time, and came in as a new person to our blue nose pitbull, our cameras showed us how kind and caring Sasha was to our dog. She took a moment to let Ryder get to know her instead of rushing out to just get him walked. She talked to him kindly and made him feel comfortable with a new person in his house and getting ready to walk him. They had a great walk. She responded to us right away and even took a little extra time to make sure that he got the walk he needed which we really appreciated. I would definitely pick her again to help us out in the future and i'm very thankful, she was available. Thanks Sasha! This was our first using the Rover app and it is much better easiest and cheaper than the Wag dog walker app. I was much happier with Rover.”

“Emily was so wonderful! She replied day-of which was so helpful because I was sick and really needed someone to exercise my pup. She was reliable, so friendly and positive, on time, and got along with my dog right away. I would recommend Emily anytime!”

About: I have been around dogs my entire life and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Whether your dog needs a walk to burn off some energy, a drop-in playtime visit while you're at work, or just some extra love and attention, I will treat your pet as if they were my own. My goal would be to make sure your dog has a fun, positive experience every time. I would be happy to provide photos and updates for peace of mind as requested. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies and everything in between. I am currently working part-time and have an open schedule for mid-day, morning and evening visits and walks. I am open some weekends. I lovingly said goodbye within the last 2 years to my wonderful dogs Mack and Junie (17 and 15). I recently got a new puppy and I am in love. I treat my dogs, and I will treat yours, as a member of the family.
“Christina is always so great with our dogs and is often available on short-notice which is really helpful. I love that she sometimes brings her kids, who are very respectful of shy animals like my older dog, because our dogs don't spend a lot of time with children and it's great that they get some positive socialization.”

“Paul was great and we'll certainly be working with him again! We're new puppy parents and have some quirky requests to ensure our training goes smoothly and is uninterrupted. Paul came over in advance so we could go for a walk together - he was great with WooHoo and very receptive.”

“Rebecca was great! She was able to come to our house ahead of our scheduled walks for a meet & greet. She LOVES dogs! She was prompt & responsive. Got lots of pictures included in our Rover report card. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I’ve cared for dogs ages 2 months-15 years. I have experience with dogs who need medication and special care. I volunteered with the humane society of boulder valley for many years and have completed basic care courses for dogs. I currently have a Blue Heeler and a Corgi who are both quirky sweet boys! I have a flexible work schedule and have free hours during the day to take some pups out to get fresh air or drop-in and say hello to your furry friends. I have handled dogs of all types: golden retrievers who think everyone is their best friend, terriers with a big attitude, cattle dogs who think they are walking me, etc :). I am equipped to handle situations with pets and am very confident in my ability to keep pets safe and happy!
“Fiona was patient and caring with our pup, Cammie. I appreciate her going the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and being flexible when navigating some challenges with our door code. We hope to use her again in the future!”

“Matthew was great and really helped us out in a vacation in a vacation bind. He was reliable, communicative and very good with our dog who is a strong 65lb pup. We will for sure hire him again!”

“Steve helped ensure our pup had great walks while my family was out of town and our pup was staying with our elderly mother-in-law who didn't feel comfortable walking such a big dog. Steve gave our 70-pound bernedoodle a nice stroll around the neighborhood to tire him out and get him some exercise every day we were gone. We will absolutely re-book Steven whenever we go out of town again!”

About: I have solid experience managing care for several pets at the same time while keeping everything calm, organized, and consistent. I’ve handled a wide range of personalities and energy levels, and I stay patient, calm, and consistent with every pet. I pay attention to the small things—body language, comfort, and habits—so I can make sure each animal feels relaxed and cared for while you’re away. I’m a full-time student at Ohio University, but I only take pet-sitting bookings when I’m back home in Arvada, Colorado. Pet care fits easily into my routine during school breaks because I have open availability and plenty of time to focus on each pet. During those breaks, I’m fully present and able to give consistent attention, walks, and care. I create a calm, safe environment for every pet I care for. I follow the owner’s routines for feeding, walks, and playtime, keep doors and gates secure, and pay close attention to each pet’s comfort and body language. I also send updates so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, from a poodle when I was a child to labs and a husky as an adult. I rent now, so sadly am unable to have a pet now and miss the love they give. I have not had cats, but have had roommates who have cats and have occasionally assisted in their care. I do enjoy and love all animals. I will be happy to take your pet on long or short walks, feed, and play with your furry friend. I am mature and responsible.

About: As an animal lover, I have always been happy to look over and hangout with any of my friend and families pets. That being said, I have lots of experience caring for animals. Including my own border collie who I love to take on walks, got to the dog park, and just be outside with! I am currently home for the summer looking to make more money for college, so I have a very free and flexible schedule throughout the week! I have a fenced yard and the sweetest border collie pup who has lots of toys and is walked regularly! I also live in a great neighborhood with easy access to parks and great trails!
About: I’ve always loved dogs, but my experience goes well beyond being a dog lover. In just one year, I fostered 100 dogs through a local rescue, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all different personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. That experience taught me how important it is to meet each dog where they are—whether they’re playful and energetic, a little nervous in a new environment, or simply happiest sticking to their familiar routine. I provide home-based boarding and daycare with a maximum of 3 guest dogs at a time. I work from home, so dogs get plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day, along with access to our fenced outdoor yard for play and fresh air (always with supervision). I also love keeping owners connected while they’re away, so I regularly send photos and video updates to let you know how your pup is doing. My goal is simple: provide a safe, comfortable, loving home where your dog gets the individual attention they deserve—not just a place to stay. I work from home, so I’m able to provide plenty of companionship and supervision throughout the day. I have three kids part-time, so I occasionally step away for school drop-off/pickup or an appointment, but dogs are otherwise part of my normal daily routine. I’m happy to work with you on drop-off and pickup times to make things as convenient as possible. I keep things intentionally small, with a maximum of 3 guest dogs at a time, so each dog gets plenty of attention and supervision. Dogs stay in our home and have access to a secure, fenced yard for outdoor time and play. With my experience fostering 100 dogs, I’m comfortable getting to know each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I’ll follow your instructions closely and keep you updated with photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Charlie is so dependable and takes care of Sam as though she were his dog! I know when he is scheduled for a walk, he will be there and give Sam a nice walk with a good friend! ?”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
