About: I am attentive, notice small changes, and I don’t ignore the animals. I follow routines, exactly as given I take pride and being dependable, respectful and consistent. I truly care about building a connection with each dog so they feel comfortable, understood and safe while you’re away. I’m taken care of neighbors dogs for about three years, but I’ve had a dog since I was little. I school and work - schedule When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the routine as closely as possible so the pet feels comfortable and secure. I make sure feeding schedules, walks, medication’s, and any specific instructions are handled exactly as requested. I also spend quality time with them so they’re not just being checked on but actually getting attention and interaction. I treat every home with respect and keep everything clean and organized while I am there.
“Shannon took our dog out for a nice walk with short notice, which we appreciated very much as we were at the hospital. The report card showed the route and relayed how much our dog enjoyed the walk. Thank you, Shannon! You're our 'go to' for our beloved pets.”

“Caroline is such a wonderful and kind person and loves dogs! When Caroline came over for the meet and great she was on time and professional. She took care of our old slow dog Brutus and was very patient with him. He looks for her when she comes over to walk him and is very happy.”

About: Hi there! I'm someone who's always been drawn to animals — there's nothing I love more than curling up with a cat or taking a dog on a good long walk. If you're looking for a sitter who will treat your pet like their own, I'd love to help. I care for both dogs and cats, and I pay close attention to each pet's individual personality and needs — whether that's a routine they're used to, a favorite toy, or just knowing when they want space versus cuddles. I believe good pet care isn't just about the basics (though I've got those covered too); it's about really seeing your pet and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you're away. A few things you can expect from me: Regular updates and photos so you can check in anytime Patience and attentiveness with pets of all temperaments, including shy or anxious ones Reliable, on-time visits and consistency with your pet's routine Genuine care — I treat every dog and cat like they're my own I know leaving your pet with someone new can feel like a big decision, and I want you to feel completely at ease. Please reach out with any questions, special instructions, or just to chat about your pet before booking — I'm happy to do a meet-and-greet too! Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that lets me be available throughout the day for walks, feedings, and check-ins, not just squeezed in before or after work. This means I can offer consistent, reliable care and adjust to your pet's routine rather than the other way around. Whether you need daytime visits, a flexible drop-in window, or someone who can be around for longer stretches, I'm happy to work with your schedule. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority. My own cats are strictly indoor, so I understand the importance of keeping doors and windows secure and closely monitoring exits. I bring that same care to any pet in my home or yours. My yard is fully fenced, giving dogs a safe, secure space to play and explore. I also have experience navigating the needs of a pet with complex medical requirements, so I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions: medications, schedules, dietary restrictions, or anything else your pet needs exactly as directed. I pay close attention to small changes in behavior that could signal an issue, and I'll always reach out right away if something seems off. My home is a calm, family environment with older children who are respectful and comfortable around animals, so pets can settle in without feeling overwhelmed. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space with the same level of care, securing doors and windows, following your routines and instructions precisely, and keeping emergency contacts and your vet's information on hand before any stay or visit.
“Christina is always so great with our dogs and is often available on short-notice which is really helpful. I love that she sometimes brings her kids, who are very respectful of shy animals like my older dog, because our dogs don't spend a lot of time with children and it's great that they get some positive socialization.”

“Lindsey is absolutely amazing. She is reliable, quick to respond and has excellent communication skills. I know my dogs are well loved and looked after when they are with her. 10/10 would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dependable walker who will shower your dog with love. ❤️🐶”

“Can’t say enough great things about Rebecca! She did such an amazing job taking care of our pup. She was on time, took great pictures and communicated really well. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a trusted and reliable person to care for their animals. Thanks Rebecca! ❤️”

“Emily was so wonderful! She replied day-of which was so helpful because I was sick and really needed someone to exercise my pup. She was reliable, so friendly and positive, on time, and got along with my dog right away. I would recommend Emily anytime!”

“Paul was great and we'll certainly be working with him again! We're new puppy parents and have some quirky requests to ensure our training goes smoothly and is uninterrupted. Paul came over in advance so we could go for a walk together - he was great with WooHoo and very receptive.”

“Steve helped ensure our pup had great walks while my family was out of town and our pup was staying with our elderly mother-in-law who didn't feel comfortable walking such a big dog. Steve gave our 70-pound bernedoodle a nice stroll around the neighborhood to tire him out and get him some exercise every day we were gone. We will absolutely re-book Steven whenever we go out of town again!”

About: I’ve always loved dogs, but my experience goes well beyond being a dog lover. In just one year, I fostered 100 dogs through a local rescue, giving me hands-on experience with dogs of all different personalities, energy levels, ages, and needs. That experience taught me how important it is to meet each dog where they are—whether they’re playful and energetic, a little nervous in a new environment, or simply happiest sticking to their familiar routine. I provide home-based boarding and daycare with a maximum of 3 guest dogs at a time. I work from home, so dogs get plenty of companionship and attention throughout the day, along with access to our fenced outdoor yard for play and fresh air (always with supervision). I also love keeping owners connected while they’re away, so I regularly send photos and video updates to let you know how your pup is doing. My goal is simple: provide a safe, comfortable, loving home where your dog gets the individual attention they deserve—not just a place to stay. I work from home, so I’m able to provide plenty of companionship and supervision throughout the day. I have three kids part-time, so I occasionally step away for school drop-off/pickup or an appointment, but dogs are otherwise part of my normal daily routine. I’m happy to work with you on drop-off and pickup times to make things as convenient as possible. I keep things intentionally small, with a maximum of 3 guest dogs at a time, so each dog gets plenty of attention and supervision. Dogs stay in our home and have access to a secure, fenced yard for outdoor time and play. With my experience fostering 100 dogs, I’m comfortable getting to know each dog’s personality, routine, and individual needs. I’ll follow your instructions closely and keep you updated with photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Fiona was patient and caring with our pup, Cammie. I appreciate her going the extra mile to make her feel comfortable and being flexible when navigating some challenges with our door code. We hope to use her again in the future!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, including 12 years working with horses. I currently work for a dog boarding facility for the past 4+ years. I have a 1.5 year old puppy that I rescued who is a Reservation dog. Due to his fear/anxiety I’ve dealt with and trained him from being reactive with people and kids. Ive worked with many different dogs at my job - size and temperament. I work 5 days a week. Tuesday and Thursday I am only gone 5 hours, every other Mondays I work 10-6 with a 1 hour break or 5 hours, Wednesday I work 10-6 with a 1 hour break, Sunday I work 9-1 and have 4 hours before I go back work 5-8, Fridays are clear, and Saturday I have church at 5 We have two dogs in our household, they both stick to their schedules. Daily walks and dog park trips, enrichment activities, etc. they are very spoiled! I wouldn’t treat any dog/animal any differently!

About: As an animal lover, I have always been happy to look over and hangout with any of my friend and families pets. That being said, I have lots of experience caring for animals. Including my own border collie who I love to take on walks, got to the dog park, and just be outside with! I am currently home for the summer looking to make more money for college, so I have a very free and flexible schedule throughout the week! I have a fenced yard and the sweetest border collie pup who has lots of toys and is walked regularly! I also live in a great neighborhood with easy access to parks and great trails!
“Adrienne was great with my 3 boxers! My 1 year old male can be a handful and she handled him well. One of the girls is vocal which annoys even us and Adrienne was cool and collected. She even gave us great recommendations for some helpful dog products which we’re going to look into.”
“Charlie was very quick to respond to my last minute meeting with my dogs and also was able to confirm his availability for a potential trip I had coming up that week prior to our meeting. My dogs can be tough but they seemed to like him. He also let me walk with them for our first meeting so that I could show him their favorite spots and their tendencies which made me feel more comfortable. I ended up not having to take the trip but will ask him to still have walks with them so they can continue to feel more comfortable with him”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
