About: Raised German Shepherds to Shih Tzus. Managed senior medications for 5+ years. Currently pet-free home, offering flexible weekdays and completely open, full-time weekends. I have great flexibility during the week for drop-ins and walks around Sloan's Lake. My Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are completely open, allowing me to dedicate my entire weekend to full-time, focused pet sitting. Security and comfort are my top priorities. In my pet-free apartment or your home, I strictly follow your instructions, maintain established routines, secure all entryways, and carefully administer any needed senior medications.

“Five huge stars to Linda for taking superb care of our girls! The quality and attention to detail paid by Linda makes us so happy (especially the dogs)! Both dogs are much happier once we return from our day from their time spent with Linda. I highly recommend Linda for any/all of your canine needs!”
“Mary is a very reliable pet sitter. We have used her twice now and each time she has shown great care for our animals in addition to her professionalism, friendliness, and respect.”

“Don always takes great care of my girl and I truly appreciate someone to walk my dog and care for her as much as I do. Xena is a sweet girl and I truly appreciate Don be as equally sweet to her and patient with her.”

About: Let me bring your dog along for the adventure... exercise is good for both of us. I love all dogs and have experience with many breeds. I'm used to watching a female cane corse (Amy). I've done over nights at their house for the last 3+ years usually 2 weeks at a time and have done drop-ins also when needed. I also did dog sitting for my neighbors dog as needed female (black lab German shepherd mix). Usually I take the dogs for a short walk in the morning, and in the afternoon a short walk with sometime play time, and a long walk in the evening before bed. Looking forward to meeting you and your 4 legged pup. For references and more about me feel free to contact me. I prefer house sitting, walks or drop in visits as I do not have a fenced in yard nor can I have pets at my place. I will ensure the house is secure every time I exit and will provide daily updates including pictures when house sitting. I'm in the Army reserves and recently graduated a reclass school that was almost a year long. Taking some time off to travel but when I'm home this is a perfect little something for $$ and exercise and for both myself and your dogo. I care for all aminals as if they were humans, because let's be real sometimes they're better then humans! I am always extra safe and respectful.
About: While I don't remember exactly when my first pet sitting job was, I've been pet sitting basically my entire life. I rescued my best friend, Ava, in May 2012 and have been branded as THE dog girl ever since. I trained her completely on my own as a high schooler and she is known by everyone who meets her as the perfect dog, truly! Because of that, everyone I'm friends with who gets a dog always comes to me first. I've lived with as many as 4 dogs at a time, and I love cats as well! Although I never had a cat because both of my parents are allergic. I have helped more than 5 of my friends in the last couple of years raise and train their puppies and also raised a puppy with my boyfriend in 2017 who has flourished into another perfect specimen! I truly LOVE dogs, taking pictures of dogs, petting and cuddling dogs, walking dogs, you name it. I just want them to be happy and it's truly my passion. My schedule is extremely flexible! I'm a law student, and currently my only time-specific obligations are Mondays from 10:30-12:30 and 3:00-4:15 and then Wednesdays from 3:00-4:15. Otherwise, I'm very flexible as I'm doing school exclusively from home and am in town almost every weekend. I would be fine with random one time visit or an on-going set schedule, whatever the need may be! I live in a safe neighborhood where I can walk dogs, but I will most likely just walk the dogs around wherever you live! I love long walks, I have a fenced yard and live right by the IAMS dog park, the most popular dog park in Fayetteville. I have one roommate who loves dogs, and I have one dog. My dog loves cats and other dogs, but she is older (8.5 years old) and is not super playful anymore, so she mostly just likes to relax. She is happy with other dogs around as long as her space is respected and she isn't tackled and jumped all over. I also frequently keep my parents' dog, a spunky three-year-old mini Australian Shepherd named Shiloh. She is much more playful and loves to bounce around with other dogs. Both of them can be kept at my parents house when necessary, though!

“Lisa was so good with my dog. She provided thorough updates of what they did, how Emma was and how their time together went. It’s reassuring to know that when I go to work, my dog gets a break during the day to go on a walk and use the bathroom and is well taken care of! So grateful for how sweet she is to my dog, and my dog also enjoys their time together!”

About: I've been nicknamed the "dog whisperer" by both friends and complete strangers. More than once, I've been told, "My dog usually doesn't warm up to strangers," only to have us become fast friends. I know every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy taking the time to earn their trust at their own pace. I have two dogs of my own: Teddy, a Great Pyrenees/Pit Bull mix I adopted from the Boulder Humane Society, and Jersey, a Mini Aussie my fiancé brought into my life. Caring for two very different dogs has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Teddy loves the dog park, but gets possessive on leash and needs to be walked with extra vigilance. He prefers several shorter walks throughout the day. Jersey is more timid, cautious around unfamiliar dogs, and is happiest with one long morning walk in quieter settings, but also can’t wait to paddle board or hike a 14er (she’s done 14 so far). Beyond my own dogs, I also have experience caring for friends', family members', and neighbors' pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your dog loves adventure or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they receive the care, exercise, and attention that's right for them. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to build pet care into my daily routine rather than trying to squeeze it in. I enjoy being active and outside, so walks are something I genuinely look forward to. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, playtime, or just some company while you're away, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I believe consistency is important, and I'll always do my best to stick to your pet's normal routine. In my home, pets are treated like family. I make sure they have a safe, comfortable environment, plenty of attention, and a routine that closely matches what they're used to at home.
“Iliana is amazing! Hallie warmed up to her after one day and she is always very happy when we get home. I highly recommend Iliana. She is very loving and caring and takes excellent care of Hallie. We look forward to continue using Iliana for dog walking services.”

“Elly was so reliable, honest and communicative. I felt 100% confident to leave King for her visiting and walking dates. She will be my first, and hopefully only choice for King care in the future!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
