“Grace has been so kind and accommodating with our little Luna! Even on days when our 11-year-old pup isn’t quite up for a walk, Grace still takes the time to bring her outside to a shady spot in the grass so she can enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful weather. We truly appreciate the extra care and attention she gives Luna”

“Mary is a very reliable pet sitter. We have used her twice now and each time she has shown great care for our animals in addition to her professionalism, friendliness, and respect.”

“Five huge stars to Linda for taking superb care of our girls! The quality and attention to detail paid by Linda makes us so happy (especially the dogs)! Both dogs are much happier once we return from our day from their time spent with Linda. I highly recommend Linda for any/all of your canine needs!”
“Rachel was wonderful with my dog and extra communicative. She took her time on each walk and made sure to include detailed updates after. I will definitely rebook with Rachel in the future”

“Alexis comes to hang out with and walk my 3 month old pup, who can definitely be a handful! She is communicative, consistent, and absolutely wonderful with him. I feel completely comfortable trusting her with my puppy and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring.”

About: I've shared my life with dogs for as long as I can remember, and for the past five years I've had the privilege of caring for the pets and homes of wonderful families in my community. Many of my clients have been with me since I first started pet sitting. I've celebrated the arrival of new puppies, cared for beloved companions through their senior years, and been honored to love a few sweet souls right up to the Rainbow Bridge. Those experiences have taught me that every pet is unique, and every one deserves patient, loving care. These days I also enjoy spending lots of time with my Golden Retriever grandpuppy, who keeps me smiling and reminds me how much joy dogs bring to our lives. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs. They often need a little extra patience, a slower pace, and plenty of gentle affection—and I'm happy to give it. When you're away, my goal is simple: to keep your pets comfortable, your home well cared for, and to give you complete peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands. I am retired and am used to filling my days and nights with sitting. When I’m at your home, I’m there. Just like you, I will run to the grocery store or do some errands, but never leave for extended periods. I’ll stay at your place overnight, keeping your pet’s schedule just as it usually is. I’m an early riser and regularly get out with the sun. I’m always counting steps, so your robust walkers will get theirs too. I can accommodate slow walkers and doggies with a high sniff to walk ratio. I’m there for your pets. Plants need watering, I’m on it. Mail a garbage as well. Whatever you need, I am on it. Playing and snuggling are two things your pet will get lots of too.
About: Mostly all my experience is caring my pets, and friends/family. I am very in tune with my pets and other pets, sensing friendly or unfriendly pets. I'm currently retired and seeking to add 3-4 dog walking sessions per week. I will be available late mornings 10-1pm and late afternoons 4-7pm, Monday - Friday. I currently walk my 8 year old pet, several times daily, leashed around my neighborhood. He is friendly, yet cautious with other dogs. I am respectful with other dog walkers and dogs.
“Melina has been walking my dog for awhile now and when my cat was having some medical issues she so kindly checked on him for me before walking Bodie so I could have some peace of mind! She’s the best!”

About: My name is Kim and I have three amazing animals that I love! Sora is a 6 year old tortie cat who loves to eat and play, Milo is a 5 year old standard poodle, who is a snuggle bug and Gene is my 3 year old baby who is also a standard poodle. I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your animals in a stranger’s care and I want to reassure all families that your pet’s care is all I care about. I will give your pets the love they need while you are away from home. I can take care of any feeding schedules or medications needed. I will be sure to give them all the playtime that I can while visiting and make sure they’re barking for more when it’s time for me to leave! I look forward to helping! I work from home with a very flexible schedule and can visit morning, afternoon and night. (Morning visits start as early as 9:30 AM and night visits go as late as 9 PM) Please be sure to give instructions on how you would like your visits to go. Please keep in mind that because of my sporadic work schedule, I cannot commit to reoccurring weekly visits. I am more than happy to hang out with your pup or kitty. I love walks in the neighborhood and can feed and play at home. If we are unable to plan a meet and greet, I will bring my husband with me to visits. Thank you for understanding!
“Samantha took great care of Poppy and we really appreciate her coming over and walking poppy, letting her run around outside and giving her treats”

About: I’m a detail oriented, caretaker who treats pets like family, not just a checklist. Someone with great communication skills, a calm confident demeanor and a desire to create a bond with my clients and their pets. Lover of animals all shapes and sizes🫶 I’ve dealt with reptiles, hamsters, crabs, fish, dogs and cats my entire existence. I am currently in a hybrid travel role where 2/3 weeks of the month I’m fully remote. I am 100% available during those remote weeks. I’m an early riser and free most evenings:) I treat all pets and animals like they’re my family, think playful and nurturing! Not afraid to get dirty, build up a sweat, or do whatever it takes to make sure our furry friends (or not so furry) feel loved, and nurtured 🫶

About: I've been nicknamed the "dog whisperer" by both friends and complete strangers. More than once, I've been told, "My dog usually doesn't warm up to strangers," only to have us become fast friends. I know every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy taking the time to earn their trust at their own pace. I have two dogs of my own: Teddy, a Great Pyrenees/Pit Bull mix I adopted from the Boulder Humane Society, and Jersey, a Mini Aussie my fiancé brought into my life. Caring for two very different dogs has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Teddy loves the dog park, but gets possessive on leash and needs to be walked with extra vigilance. He prefers several shorter walks throughout the day. Jersey is more timid, cautious around unfamiliar dogs, and is happiest with one long morning walk in quieter settings, but also can’t wait to paddle board or hike a 14er (she’s done 14 so far). Beyond my own dogs, I also have experience caring for friends', family members', and neighbors' pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your dog loves adventure or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they receive the care, exercise, and attention that's right for them. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to build pet care into my daily routine rather than trying to squeeze it in. I enjoy being active and outside, so walks are something I genuinely look forward to. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, playtime, or just some company while you're away, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I believe consistency is important, and I'll always do my best to stick to your pet's normal routine. In my home, pets are treated like family. I make sure they have a safe, comfortable environment, plenty of attention, and a routine that closely matches what they're used to at home.
“Jessica was incredible! She took great care of our pups and left a very detailed summary of her visit. She even went above and beyond with an intro call before her visit. We look forward to booking her again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my neighbors cats and dogs since childhood, and then had a family dog as well. Now miss having one of my own and would love to give yours some love! I work remotely with a flexible schedule so I have time to walk and play with your pet, and can always stop by to feed them as well. I have a house with a large fenced-in yard. I’m very clean and organized so your pet will be safe with me, and so will your home.

About: Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company 🫶 I have experience with Dogs, Cats and Rabbits as I volunteer at a Rescue Center for Rabbits. So if you also need someone to keep an eye on your bun 🐇 , I’m your gal 😄 I work a hybrid schedule Mon-Fri and typically finish work around 5:00 p.m. I have flexibility during my lunch break to stop by for walks or potty breaks. My evenings and early morning are open for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I have additional availability on weekends. I do my best to be flexible and work with each pet owner’s schedule whenever possible. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before providing care. I’ll make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, plenty of exercise, playtime, and lots of attention!
About: I walked my professor’s dog for 2 ½ years straight, brought him to the dog park and ran with him many many times. I continued my experience walking dogs in Austin, TX. Dogs nearly always want to come and lick my face! 😂 I get along with almost any dog I meet :) I’m not working my normal job at the minute so I’m open and able to help you with your pets, birds, dogs, and cats! I hope I can be of help to you :) I will not be hosting dogs at my home but I could very much sit your dog or cat at your home if you would like me to :)

Caroline has been an amazing dog walker for Marvin. She’s always communicative, reliable, and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure he’s well taken care of. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with, and I always feel confident knowing Marvin is in great hands. One of the things I appreciate most is her flexibility. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
