“I needed last minute help with my dog as I was going out of town. Hannah was quick to respond and set up a meet and greet. When she arrived, she immediately greeted my dog and got on the floor with her, giving her all the pets. She asked all the right questions and made me feel confident. Then, when my flight got cancelled, Hannah was super responsive and flexible with times/visits changing. She sent tons of photos and I could tell my pup felt comfortable with her, as did I.”

“Casie is wonderful!! I was gone on a 2 week vacation to Thailand and she took such great care of my cat, Bear. She was also very responsive and easy to work with!”

About: We’re a dog-loving duo, and caring for furry friends has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember. We’ve grown up with golden retrievers, doodles, and shih tzus, and now share our home with our own pup, Archie a (2-year-old mini bernedoodle). Archie has a moderate energy level, making him a great companion for senior dogs or smaller pups who prefer a relaxed environment. We live in a comfortable home with a small, fenced-in backyard that’s perfect for midday potty breaks and fresh air. I also volunteer as a dog walker for a local rescue, so I’m experienced with dogs of all temperaments and personalities. Both Ryan and I work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We treat every pet like family and focus on creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment while you’re away. We’d love the opportunity to care for your pup and make them feel right at home! 🐾 Ryan & I both work from home, so we’ll have plenty of time to play with and love on your furry friends. Both of us run and walk daily, perfect for dogs with high energy levels! We have a fenced-in backyard and a two year old bernedoodle, perfect for keeping your pup company. Ryan & I both work from home and can provide daytime love, walks, and companionship. If your pup prefers being crated for durations of the day, we have two medium size crates available or welcome your own!
“Mary did a lovely job taking care of Kitten and sharing daily updates and photos. It was great to know Kitten was in such good hands while I was out of town. Would definitely recommend Mary for any pet sitting needs and will book again!”

“Charissa did such an amazing job with my 2 cats! She was on time and very informative at every visit. I had no stress knowing that she was checking on them everyday and never failed to give me updates and send me pictures. Will definitely hire her again in the future when I’m out of town.”

“Greg’s service taking care of our cats was outstanding. His communication was always clear and friendly. Every visit was punctual and always came with plenty of photos. Our cats had a few accidents during our vacation, and Greg kept us informed and handled them appropriately. We would definitely try to use him again in the future and would recommend him to friends. Thank you! Best, Collin and Hayden”

“Adam is very consistent and communicative. Extremely reliable and also flexible. Kyra looks forward to her walks with him, and it’s such a relief having someone you trust and can count on week over week to walk your puppy while you’re at work. Definitely recommend!”

“Kirstin was a great sitter for my two (slightly neurotic) cats! She was consistent with her timing and followed the care instructions well. She let me know if she saw any unusual behavior from my cats or things around the house that may need my attention when I got home. She also made sure to spend time and play with them. I was away for almost 2.5 weeks so it made me much more relaxed knowing a knowledgeable and caring sitter was looking after my boys! Thanks Kirstin!”

“Hilary, Did such a nice job caring for my three cats while I was away. Not only did she keep me updated on how things were going but she shared a photo of each feeding/care session. One of my elusive cats even came out for a photo op on the last day, which shows that they were starting to feel comfortable with her! - Tom”

“Diego & Mauro took excellent care of our two cats while we were away. He even moved our car to help us avoid a street sweeping fee and left a little gift basket for the cats on the last visit. We'll definitely hope to book them again next time we are out of town. Thanks!”

About: I am known as the dog lady among my friends 😂. I've grown up with and been around dogs my whole life. My family had, and I currently have two small dogs who are the loves of my life. Not to discriminate, I love my big guys too! I have lots of experience walking and looking after bigger dogs also. I have much personal experience and am so happy to care for the needs for your senior dog as well ❤️. I am currently between full-time jobs, so I have plenty of time to work around your and your pup's scheduling needs. I have preference for not taking lengthy outdoor walks very late in the evening or very early in the morning (10 pm - 5 am) for personal safety. Your pup will always be leashed outside of the home, etc. I will follow all safety needs you specify for me. Please let me know if there are any aggressiveness triggers, places/ things to avoid, etc.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
We have been trusting Bethany to take great care of our fur babies for over 3 years and she has always done such a great job! Our dog and cats love her, and she is very accommodating with their special dietary needs. She is a lifesaver every time we need to head out of town!!

Marissa has been my pups’ go-to sitter for several months now. She is incredibly attentive and they just love her - they are SO happy during her visits and it’s clear in the photos and vids she shares. Recently, one of my dogs needed administration of some meds as well as some extra attention with a cone of shame. Marissa handled everything wonderfully and I felt good knowing he was in trusted hands. BOOK HER, if you can!

Haley is helping us with our people nervous/shy pup and she is great! It is clear she understands dog body language and will meet the dog where they are at. Our pup, Finn, adjusted really well to Haley at our first meet n greet. Would highly recommend to anyone with a dog that needs a bit of extra care.

Hannah was wonderful with our three dogs over the weekend, and I couldn’t recommend her more! She kept us updated consistently and sent lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of our dogs, can definitely be a bit of a handful and doesn’t always warm up to people right away, but he absolutely adored Hannah. It was so clear that she was patient, attentive, and genuinely caring with all of them. We came home to three happy, well-cared-for pups and will happily book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
