“Kristen took great care of our young, playful cats while we were new to the neighborhood and needed to travel. She was super responsive, kind, and communicative. Will definitely use her as a sitter again!”

“Holly is a ray of sunshine and my cat who is very skittish came right up to her and befriended her. She was very accomodating to come the day before on short notice to show her the ropes and how to get into a difficult to find apartment. Meeting her and speaking with her, truly made my day and turned around a very challenging week. Definitely will be booking her again.”

“Adri has been an absolute delight to work with! She is great with my dog, Fermi, who can be pretty shy and nervous, is very responsive over text, and has rearranged her schedule to work with what we need. I would absolutely recommend Adri to others looking to get their pup some love while they are out and about.”

About: My husband and I are extremely active outdoors. We're always walking around our neighborhood, nearby parks, and hiking in the mountains. We love our pets and enjoy spending time with furry friends. We have a super sweet 8 year old Golden Retriever named Walter and a 9 year old sweet Cat named Princess (she also loves dogs). We have experience with most breeds after hosting and caring for Pups on Rover since 2018. During the day, I run a small business and also teach yoga. My schedule is flexible to accommodate your pups schedule. However, I may be gone between 4-6 hours at a time. My husband can also serve as backup for potty breaks if necessary. I’m the only one who would stay overnight if we make arrangements for overnight stays. We've both had pets our whole life of various needs so we will be accommodating to anything you and your pet need! We follow instructions well. We would love to meet you and your pets! Have a good day! *If you are a returning customer and my calendar is showing unavailable, please email me anyway. If we are in town we would be happy to still host our repeat clients! I own a small business so I have flexibility with my schedule and work demands. I can be available most days and nights to be with your pet as you may recommend. My husband may also help me if for any reason I have a minor conflict. I love morning and evening walks and happy to take your pup along! We start the day with a feeding and going out back to play or for a walk. Happy to do a midday potty break or walk if needed. Evenings I can follow a feeding schedule and downtime as prescribed by the pet parent.
“Megan is the first rover / pet sitter that I have ever booked, and I am so grateful for how wonderful our experience was. She accepted my booking with only a few days notice, came by the same day to meet my pup, and handled the visits perfectly. I could tell from the photos our boy had a great time and enjoyed his walks and visits with Megan. Would absolutely recommend and book again.”

About: We’re a dog-loving duo, and caring for furry friends has been a part of our lives for as long as we can remember. We’ve grown up with golden retrievers, doodles, and shih tzus, and now share our home with our own pup, Archie a (2-year-old mini bernedoodle). I also volunteer as a dog walker for a local rescue, so I’m experienced with dogs of all temperaments and personalities. Both Ryan and I work from home, which means your dog will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
Ellen did an amazing job caring for my two fur babies while I was out of town. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure they were well taken care of the entire time. She kept me updated with messages and photos during each visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my pets and treated them like her own. I highly recommend Ellen to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and I would absolutely book with her again!

Marissa has been my pups’ go-to sitter for several months now. She is incredibly attentive and they just love her - they are SO happy during her visits and it’s clear in the photos and vids she shares. Recently, one of my dogs needed administration of some meds as well as some extra attention with a cone of shame. Marissa handled everything wonderfully and I felt good knowing he was in trusted hands. BOOK HER, if you can!

Haley is helping us with our people nervous/shy pup and she is great! It is clear she understands dog body language and will meet the dog where they are at. Our pup, Finn, adjusted really well to Haley at our first meet n greet. Would highly recommend to anyone with a dog that needs a bit of extra care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
