About: I am known as the dog lady among my friends 😂. I've grown up with and been around dogs my whole life. My family had, and I currently have two small dogs who are the loves of my life. Not to discriminate, I love my big guys too! I have lots of experience walking and looking after bigger dogs also. I have much personal experience and am so happy to care for the needs for your senior dog as well ❤️. I am currently between full-time jobs, so I have plenty of time to work around your and your pup's scheduling needs. I have preference for not taking lengthy outdoor walks very late in the evening or very early in the morning (10 pm - 5 am) for personal safety. Your pup will always be leashed outside of the home, etc. I will follow all safety needs you specify for me. Please let me know if there are any aggressiveness triggers, places/ things to avoid, etc.
“Casie was a lifesaver for me this weekend! She took many photos during every visit she did, and made comments about specifically how Murphy was behaving. It made me very happy and kept me feeling informed. She was encouraging towards me, especially since I am a new cat mother. She was patient when I was late for our meet and greet. She kept great track of my keys and helped me get them when I returned to town. I will definitely be asking Casie to help me again in the future!!!”

About: My husband and I are extremely active outdoors. We're always walking around our neighborhood, nearby parks, and hiking in the mountains. We love our pets and enjoy spending time with furry friends. We have a super sweet 8 year old Golden Retriever named Walter and a 9 year old sweet Cat named Princess (she also loves dogs). We have experience with most breeds after hosting and caring for Pups on Rover since 2018. During the day, I run a small business and also teach yoga. My schedule is flexible to accommodate your pups schedule. However, I may be gone between 4-6 hours at a time. My husband can also serve as backup for potty breaks if necessary. I’m the only one who would stay overnight if we make arrangements for overnight stays. We've both had pets our whole life of various needs so we will be accommodating to anything you and your pet need! We follow instructions well. We would love to meet you and your pets! Have a good day! *If you are a returning customer and my calendar is showing unavailable, please email me anyway. If we are in town we would be happy to still host our repeat clients! I own a small business so I have flexibility with my schedule and work demands. I can be available most days and nights to be with your pet as you may recommend. My husband may also help me if for any reason I have a minor conflict. I love morning and evening walks and happy to take your pup along! We start the day with a feeding and going out back to play or for a walk. Happy to do a midday potty break or walk if needed. Evenings I can follow a feeding schedule and downtime as prescribed by the pet parent.
“Melissa did a great job with all the things. Communication was on point and she provided updates with photos and information. Our babies loved her as well! Thank you Melissa!”

“Holly is kind, thoughtful, and communicative! She also sent some great photos each day she was with our cat Daisy. I would definitely recommend her if you need someone gentle to spend some time with your pet. 😊”

“Megan was so great! She was able to stop by on semi- short notice for our dogs for a few days, and was awesome with her thorough updates and check-ins, and even went above and beyond for other tasks while we were away, too. Would recommend! Thanks Megan!”

“Sara was great. She was punctual and took lots of photos for us. I had her do two drop-ins in one day so we could go skiing. Cosmo seemed enjoy his time with her as he was calm and relaxed when we arrived home. I will definitely re-book her for Cosmo.”

“Erik was amazing!! He went above and beyond for our pets and did even more than we expected to make sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. We would absolutely recommend and book with him again!”

“Haley is helping us with our people nervous/shy pup and she is great! It is clear she understands dog body language and will meet the dog where they are at. Our pup, Finn, adjusted really well to Haley at our first meet n greet. Would highly recommend to anyone with a dog that needs a bit of extra care.”

“Terri was a phenomenal sitter. Our cats adored her! She got our older cat to play (which he hasn’t been interested in in a long time)! She sent tons of great pics and updates, and even cleaned the wet food dishes. Terri is our new favorite sitter, and definitely our kitties favorite as well. Thanks so much!”

“Amy took excellent care of our pet rabbit! She gave us updates after each visit, took lots of photos and not only followed our care instructions but went above & beyond to keep his area clean and engage him. Would definitely recommend!”

“Abigail was an amazing cat sitter! She took such great care of my cat and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was attentive, responsible, and clearly loves animals. I reallyyyy appreciated the updates as she’s an older cat that requires medications and got lots of photos, it was obvious my cat was comfortable and well cared for the whole time. I came home to a happy cat and everything just as I left it. I’m already booking her again.”

“Taylor went above and beyond to make sure Jax was comfortable and taken care of. We recently moved so he’s been very suspicious of strangers, but he loved her instantly. We will definitely be repeat clients”

“Adri has been an absolute delight to work with! She is great with my dog, Fermi, who can be pretty shy and nervous, is very responsive over text, and has rearranged her schedule to work with what we need. I would absolutely recommend Adri to others looking to get their pup some love while they are out and about.”

About: Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to provide the care they need! I understand that every pet is different, so I always do my best to follow their routine and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away 🫶 I work a hybrid schedule and typically finish work around 5:00 p.m. I have flexibility during my lunch break to stop by for walks or potty breaks on workdays. My evenings and early morning are open for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I have additional availability on weekends. I do my best to be flexible and work with each pet owner’s schedule whenever possible. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before providing care. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgewater
Rachel took great care of our cat while we were away; she even went above and beyond and spent some extra time with him since he was in a playful mood while she was here. Based on his talkative chatter upon our return, our boy was happy spending time with her, and everything was neat and clean when we returned. It was easy to see that animals gravitate toward her kind demeanor. Will request her again the next time we are away.

Adam was great with our puppy Cleo! He was on time, added lots of pictures, descriptions of his drop in visits with her, and followed all instructions. He was even careful enough to ensure the sidewalk wasn’t too hot before taking her out and would supplement with extra play instead if it was too hot. Very respectful in our home and is a great communicator. Will likely book again!

Charissa was very helpful while I was away, she was attentive, followed instructions and took good care of my fur baby, kitty was happy when I got home. I appreciate her updates and photos to know that she was being taking care of. I will definitely book again if I leave town. Thank you so much Charissa!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
