“Jacquie was literally the best dog sitter we have ever had. She was so attentive, careful, and truly amazing. If she lived in Houston she would be our go-to sitter every single time. She takes this job very serious and it's so comforting as a dog mom! The girls absolutely loved her! 10000/10!!!🔥🥰❤️”

“Diego is always a pleasure to book with and sends us amazing updates about our cat! He is communicative and caring and we will be using his services moving forward!”

“Amber was fantastic! Our cat won't go near strangers, but within a day she was already friends with Amber, happily greeting her at the door and spending time with her. Amber was very professional, courteous, and considerate of our home. She monitored and reported on everything important, from feeding and behavior to litter box usage. Plus we got a bunch of cute photos of our while we were away. This was our first time leaving our cat alone for a vacation, and we were very nervous at first, but all of our concerns were alleviated. We'll definitely use Amber again for future trips!”

“Max was so great!! Had him check in on my two boys and he hung out with them and gave them lots of love and was a great communicator and I would 1000% book him again!! Highly recommend! :)”

“Annie was amazing with my nervous dog. She took time to really let him warm up to her, and was so accommodating with what he needed to feel safe. We will definitely have Annie drop in on Chaps again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family since middle school. Now, I’m looking to bring my experience to Rover! I’ve always loved pets of all kinds. My goal is to provide peace of mind and exceptional care for you and your furry family member! As a pet owner myself I understand the importance of finding a quality sitter. I hope to bring my experience and care to your home. I’m currently working full-time, but my days start early so I’m able after 3pm to take care of your pets! My weekends are very flexible, I’m open to whatever your time needs are. I always make sure to follow any guidelines you have laid out when doing drop-in visits or house sitting. My goal is to make sure your pet is happy and taken care of while you’re out.

“Amazing! Very communicative, spent time playing with the cats, sent lots and lots of photos, and administered medication to my cat with no problems!”

“Mariah is really just the best ever! She came in clutch for a last minute need and I couldn’t be more thankful. Her communication is amazing, and all the videos of my cat are soooo nice to have, makes missing them a little easier.”

“Scot was an amazing sitter! Went above and beyond on his updates and care taking. Couldnt recommend him enough and will absolutely be rebooking! Thank you soooo much Scot!!”

“Madex was wonderful! I really appreciated the daily feedback and attention to detail. I was completely relaxed on my out of country trip-as I felt reassured that Onyx was being competently cared for. Not worrying about your pet while you're away is incredibly valuable. Madex really respected my specific requests and performed considerate tasks that I hadn't even asked for, like removing the trash before my return. Highly recommend! 10/10. Thank you! I wish you wellness and prosperity.”

“Iuliia was wonderful watching my 2 kitties!! One of them had to go to the vet right before we left so they were being a little difficult, but she had so much patience and understanding with them! She administered medications and gave consistent updates. I will definitely be hiring her again and highly recommend her!”

“Teagan is amazing! She let us know all was well and we appreciated all of the photos. We felt safe leaving our kitties in Teagan’s care. She was great with our senior cat who needs medication as well. Both kitties loved her. Will definitely book again.”

“Thank you again for everything! The cats were so relaxed and litter boxes all cleaned! Appreciate you making my life easier when I have to leave. You’re amazing.”

“Rachel was so great with my cat! Rachel handled my cat’s medications like a pro and was super flexible and understanding when my plans changed. Would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone for pet sitting, especially if your cat needs any kind of special attention or treatment!”

“Kirstin is the best! She goes out of the way to make our shy kitties feel special! She even found our elusive outdoor kitty who never shows up. Thanks Kirstin!”

“Caroline did a really excellent job taking care of my two cats. She was very communicative and sent a lot of pictures. I would happily hire her again!”

“Luisa was absolutely amazing. We loved getting updates and photos throughout our trip. She was very flexible and accommodating and went above and beyond. We are so grateful.”

“Erika is AMAZING with our cat! She took great care of him (and our home), probably better than we do hah! She looked for ways to keep him entertained and whether it was toys, play, or scritches and gave us detailed summaries. I will absolutely rebook with Erika and continue to trust in her experience and judgement for a tranquil/secure sitter experience!”

Diego has been my trusted cat sitter for almost a year now! He always goes above and beyond with report cards and photos from his visits, and it truly gives me peace of mind every time I'm away from my fur baby. I can tell he treats my cat with care, and he's always communicative and responsive to requests. I recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a great sitter!

Laura was absolutely amazing with my Jinx boy! 🐈🧡 She sent me pictures and updates after every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She made sure he got plenty of love and treaties, of course, kept an eye on the temperature in my apartment to make sure he stayed cool and comfortable, and even offered to bring in any packages that arrived while I was gone. It was so reassuring knowing Jinx and my home were in such good hands. Laura truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. 10/10 recommend!! 🧡

Caitlin was a fantastic sitter! It was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous leaving my baby with someone new, but Caitlin made me feel very comfortable and took great care of Lydia while I was away. She is communicative, provided very detailed updates and plenty of pictures, and went above and beyond in interacting with Lydia, providing treats and playtime, and cleaning up after her. Lydia can be quite shy with new people, but she warmed up to Caitlin quickly and even gave her some rare snuggles. I would highly recommend Caitlin as a sitter (especially if you have a shy cat!), and she will definitely be my first choice for caring for Lydia the next time I am away!

Jessica has been absolutely wonderful with my pup! She’s incredibly kind and genuinely cares about building a relationship with him, which really shows in the way she interacts with him. She always sends lots of great pictures and consistently goes above and beyond what you’d expect from a typical walk. She’ll spend extra time playing with him and giving him attention, and she even took the time to clean out his water bowl. It’s clear Jessica genuinely cares about the dogs she works with, and I always feel confident knowing he’s in great hands with her. I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Truly a blessing!! Jacquie took care of our pup for a few weeks and has a talent! The reports were so very thought out and detailed. She even stayed with him after the time we asked her to be there just to make sure he was all settled. If she was staying in Houston she would be our sitter forever 🥲

I booked Sean for drop-in visits 3x/day while I was gone on a 7 day trip, and he is awesome. I have a senior dog with some special needs, and Sean did a great job caring for him and providing updates. My dog ended up getting sick the last couple days, and Sean did the best he could cleaning up some messes. Excellent care of my pet, prompt communication, overall great dude. Will definitely be booking Sean in the future.

Eileen is great! She is very friendly, accommodating, and communicative. I have 3 older cats and she gave them lots of attention while I was away on a trip. The meet and greet was awesome, so that we could go over pet care and she could get mildly acquainted with my cats. I highly recommend her pet-sitting services! 😻

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
