“Diego is AMAZING! My cat usually avoids strangers but immediately trusted him when he came for the meet and greet. I received so many pics of her care throughout my trip and had comfort knowing she was in safe hands. I will definitely be booking them for my next trip!😻”

“Gemma was a huge help for our girls. Very communicative and understanding with our girls needs and made sure to give 100% of her attention. It was a last minute booking and she accommodated us quickly. Will absolutely keep Gemma on the roster for our girls.”

“Annie was amazing with my nervous dog. She took time to really let him warm up to her, and was so accommodating with what he needed to feel safe. We will definitely have Annie drop in on Chaps again!”

About: I've always taken care of my family's pets even as a kid, I was the feeder, walker, playmate and pooper scooper. I've always had a natural affinity for animals, especially dogs and they seem drawn to me because they know I'll play and love on them. Thank you for taking the time to consider me for taking care of your pets needs. I work part time at a t-shirt printing press shop, while I love it I don't get many hours, I wanted a job I would enjoy, but have a flexible enough schedule to meet my needs. Unfortunately I won't be doing in home care for anyone's pets, as I don't have the ability in my current place to accommodate that service nor do overnight or check ins at clients homes. My apologies for the inconvenience, I would be open to doing these services in the future, but right now it's not feasible. I appreciate you being understanding at this time.
“Enecia was amazing, she took perfect care of our cats and even gave the plants some love! Highly recommend, and will definitely reach out for future needs. Thanks!”

“Emily was amazing! She took care of my cat & dog while we were away for a wedding - super responsive & shared the cutest photos, was mindful of the heat for dog walks, and generally took such great care of my babies! Will definitely rebook next time I’m in need of pet care”

“Monica is the best! We always feel better leaving our cat when we know she’ll be around to check on her. She’s great at reading body language and giving our cat exactly what she needs.”

“Madex was so great with my kitties while I was away! I loved the photos and thoughtful updates. I especially appreciated how Madex went above and beyond to clean up a mess my rambunctious kitties made during a wrestlemania day!”

“Caroline was amazing to work with! This was my first time using Rover and I booked very last minute, but she replied right away and came to meet Gus the next day—just a few days before my trip. Gus is a bit of a scaredy-cat, but Caroline was so patient and let him warm up to her at his own pace. By the third day he was comfortable with pets, treats, and a little playtime. She also shared great photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I will definitely be rebooking with her for future trips!”

“Iuliia was wonderful watching my 2 kitties!! One of them had to go to the vet right before we left so they were being a little difficult, but she had so much patience and understanding with them! She administered medications and gave consistent updates. I will definitely be hiring her again and highly recommend her!”

“Vera was exactly what I needed with drop-in visits for my two dogs. She followed my instructions, was perfectly on time all of the days (multiple visits a day), and promptly sent communication each visit. She even won over my nervous older dog’s approval. Relieved to have found a pet sitter that I am comfortable with and trusting of in my home, with my dogs.”

“Appreciating Ally’s consistency and effort through a big travel period in my life. Even though my cat is… shall we say, difficult?… Ally provides her daily contact that ensures she doesn’t get too stressed/anxious while I am gone. Thanks for caring for Rocky, Ally!”
“Kirsten always takes the best care of my two kitties! She knows them well and always goes above and beyond expectations—she spends extra time playing with and loving on the kitties. I find my kitties happy and healthy every time she cares for them. ¨̮”

“Rachel was an absolutely phenomenal sitter, she gave me total peace of mind while I was away from my boys, sent tons of pictures, and made me laugh her work notes! Highly recommend!”

“It is always such a pleasure to have Scot our pets when we are out of town. We get fantastic updates and many pictures, and I always feel confident they are in the best hands!”

“Mais is absolutely fantastic! This was my first time using Rover and leaving my kittens. Mais gave me so much peace of mind - she was attentive, reliable, communicative, and trustworthy. It was everything I would hope for in an outstanding cat sitter and then some! I would HIGHLY recommend Mais and will absolutely be using her for any future cat sitting needs.”

About: Hi there! My name is Amelia and I live in Cap Hill. I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember—not just family dogs and cats, but also backyard birds, butterflies, and any animal that crossed my path growing up near the Florida Everglades. My family loved rescuing animals, from our pitbull mix Mia, to our hound mix Hank, to our lab mix Maggie, and our many cats in between. I understand a wide variety of animal personalities and backgrounds, and I spent summers both as a child and in college pet sitting for my neighbors and friends. I currently live alone in an apartment right next to Cheesman Park, which is perfect for walks and outdoor time. I have a sweet fluffy cat named Willow who gets along very well with other animals. Willow is my everything, and I’m sure your pet is too, so I understand the trust it takes to leave them in someone else’s care. If your fur baby is in my hands, they’ll be treated with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Pinky promise. I currently have full availability on Saturdays and Sundays for drop-in visits and boarding, as well as flexibility on Fridays. Feel free to reach out! I prioritize keeping pets happy and safe whether they’re in my home or their own. I try to keep each pet’s routine as consistent as possible with walks, exercise, feeding, medication if needed, and of course lots of affection! I will send regular photos and updates of your pet while you’re away.
“Zaineb took the best care of our 2 pups while we were away skiing. We are very nervous pet owners, but Zaineb's responsiveness eased our mind. The dogs absolutely loved her and we will be booking with her again!”

Melissa was great with Kylo - she took adorable pictures and videos and left the place clean. He was well taken care of. She was also very accommodating with key drop off, I only have one so it’s tough to figure out. Looking forward to booking again in the future!

Meghan is such an stress-free and trustworthy option and exactly what we need when on vacation. We know our 2 cats and 2 dogs are taken care of and it helps us make the most of our time away. We extended these visits to an hour and it is totally worth the additional dollars / they love the walkie and extra playtime. We always go to Meghan first when we need pet care, she’s as good as it gets!!! 10/10

Kasia was the Best! She took wonderful care of Ollie. I knew the minute she met Ollie that it was going to work. Received great photos and updates daily, which assured me that Ollie was doing just fine without me. She also helped me find a spare key in an awful junk drawer in the kitchen. I highly recommend Kasia for your pet sitting needs.

The quality of your cat sitter affects your entire vacation! She is the one to hire to enjoy your time away. We had zero worries and it was such a relief!! you’d be insane not to hire Rebecca! I can’t even imagine traveling again without her. Rebecca is insanely good at what she does, especially for cat people! After 11 days of travel, we have been left with literally 100 photos. (Beautiful photos!) we have not only written updates, but specific play by plays of each day. Longer than this review. You can tell Rebecca sincerely loves what she does. That’s why she is so good at it. Her gift with animals is a true asset. She came in with knowledge regarding cat behaviors we never considered. And explored every avenue to make our little dude feel safe and loved. She took note of all behaviors and expressed them to us with true sincerity and expertise. We were finally able to spend quality time with our family on the East coast! Because we had Rebecca to watch our young kitty, who had never been alone before! We are now able to RELAX while traveling!! -Tamara Rebecca was wonderful with our big boy cat Jack. She is dependable, experienced, and very knowledgeable about the wants and needs of cats. She also sent us plenty of professional-level portraits of our handsome guy. Every day she sent a new update about what he was doing while she was there, made sure everything was taken care of and was very communicative about any concerns or questions that came up. We feel very grateful to have been able to book Rebecca and hope to be able to again in the future. I’m sure our cat would love seeing her again, too. Thank you so much! -Patrick

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
