About: Hi all, I’m Maria (Alex), I’ve had dogs all my life and love them with all my heart. From schnauzers to Siberian huskies, I’ve experienced a wide range of dog personalities and needs. My senior husky, who has seizures and reactivity issues, has taught me patience and how to handle even the most challenging walks with care. Both my husband and I work remote, so we have the time and flexibility to treat your dog like our own. To us, dogs are family, and I’d love to help keep your pup happy while you are unavailable! For my house sitting clients, I will be with your dogs most of the day, but if we live in the same neighborhood I’d likely step out to sleep in my own home and will return first thing in the morning (puppies are an exception as I know they need more time) My husband and I will give your pet whatever it is he or she needs! Our neighborhood has two large dog parks, and we live close to walking trails to take them on walks as well. We take care of dogs depending on their specific needs. If the goal is to provide play, I will play fetch and give your pup loving while you are away. I make sure the dogs food and water needs are met and respect the space that I might be in.

“Lauren was absolutely wonderful with my VERY shy, 14yo cat, Clarky. Clarky is one of those cats who truly doesn’t like anyone except me, so finding someone I trust to care for her is incredibly difficult. Lauren was so patient, gentle, and respectful of Clarky’s boundaries from the very beginning. What impressed me most was that over the course of the visits, Clarky gradually started to warm up to her. By the end, Lauren had Clarky rubbing her head against the brush for the first time all weekend and even playing with a toy! That may sound like a small thing, but for Clarky it’s a huge accomplishment and speaks volumes about Lauren’s calm, compassionate approach with timid cats. Lauren also sent thoughtful updates, photos, and videos after every visit. Seeing Clarky playing and looking relaxed brought me so much comfort while I was away. It allowed me to truly enjoy my trip knowing my girl was in such caring and capable hands. Lauren went above and beyond with litter box cleaning, fresh food and water, treats, and making sure Clarky was comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her—especially to anyone with a shy, anxious, or “people-selective” cat. She has a real gift for earning the trust of cats that don’t give it easily, and I’m so grateful I found her.”

I missed them so much but she helped me feel at ease about being away. She also went out of her way on the 4th of july to ensure they were safe and sound because of the fireworks.
