About: Hello! My name is Jackie and I've been a dog mom for over 20 years. My first pup was a Golden Retriever named Sam and my second is an Aussie named Norman. Long before Rover I would often house/pet sit for friends. I have experience with all ages of dogs. I cared for my good ole boy Sam from puppyhood until he was almost 15. On the other hand, Aussie Norman is high-functioning and anxious dog. He gets along well with other pups and loves playing. I work from home and am able to let dogs out as often as necessary, plus I have a doggie door. We live in a great neighborhood where it is easy to go out for walks. My house has a doggie dog that fits pups up to 80 lbs! It gives them great freedom to move in and out for bathroom breaks as they wish. Although the house is small, it has a large backyard. Norman is a friendly Aussie who loves other dogs, big and small, and would love a play friend. Pups can sit on the couch, just not the beds.

I'm centrally located in Denver and live with one 65-lb mixed breed dog and a small bird (caged while around dogs). My dog has welcomed a variety of other dogs into our home and has always been very friendly. I live across from a park, which is perfect for meet-and-greets with other dogs on neutral ground. I allow my dog on furniture and I don't feed her from the table. I am happy to keep consistent with rules and habits you prefer your dog to follow! In case of emergency, I have go-to vets for both regular and 24-hour care but am happy to default to your preferred vet.

He has been watching my pup since she was about 10-11 weeks old and her whole face lights up when I mention his name which is a true testament of how she and Nick have bonded. She always seems so safe and comfortable in his arms when I come to pick her up, it’s just the sweetest. It is very clear he has a passion for dogs and he is always willing to answer questions and offer helpful advice and suggestions. Nick has created a space for my dog and all the dogs he cares for that allows me as a “parent” to feel safe while I am not with my girl. He has a beautiful home that is set up to ensure all the little dogs are safe and protected and a very well kept backyard, and I just love that my dog Harlow has a community of dog friends that she can socialize with. Nick sends me a plethora of pictures and videos while she is in his care, and it’s such a relief to know she is safe while I am gone. Nick is a fountain of knowledge, he is easy to talk to, and he will happily discuss questions and concerns. He is observant, experienced, caring, loving, and most importantly, provides a trusting and loving space for my four legged squish. My dog has so many new best friends, has become more confident, feels welcome and loved, and comes home tired (most of the time). I’m not sure what more you can ask for from a caretaker! Nick isn’t just a caretaker though, he and his wife Jen and his 2 dachshunds Penny and Gwen are a part of our family now and I can’t thank him or recommend him enough.”

About: While I’m new to Rover, caring for dogs is anything but new to me. I’ve spent years pet sitting for family and friends, caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs—from playful puppies and energetic adults to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I’m comfortable following each owner’s routine, reinforcing training, and making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their people are away. Dogs have been part of my life since the day I was born, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. My family has always had one or two dogs, giving me a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs of different breeds, ages, and temperaments. When I was 12, I got my own dog and played an active role in his training. After our older family dog passed away, we welcomed another puppy into the family, and I helped train her as well. She went on to become an AKC Champion show dog and later had a litter of puppies, with my sister keeping one of them. Those experiences taught me the importance of consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding that every dog has their own unique personality. I’ve also cared for a variety of other pets over the years—including cats, hamsters, fish, a fire-bellied toad, a gecko, a salamander, and a pet newt—so I’m comfortable caring for many different types of animals. The only reason I don’t currently have a dog of my own is because I travel to visit family fairly often—not because I don’t want one! Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I work from home full-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present throughout the day. Whether your pet needs walks, bathroom breaks, meals, playtime, medication, or simply someone to keep them company, I'm available to provide attentive care. About: I grew up in a home where we always had at least two dogs, so caring for them has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've also looked after friends' dogs during college and after moving to Colorado. While I don't have a dog of my own, I am looking forward to the day I get one! I work a flexible full time job, Monday- Thursday, 7-5/5:30. I am available after work most days and on most weekends. I can be flexible with scheduling and am able to take dogs on walks during the work day! I live in a nice apartment complex with a balcony. There is a fenced in dog area outside of the building for quick bathroom breaks, but also to run around. Additionally we are located across from Jefferson dog park!
