“I wish I could give Jennifer more than 5 stars, she’s truly that amazing and thorough. My cats are spoiled and have a lot of preferences, and Jennifer understood everything they needed and then some! She even drew out my very shy cat for some love and play. Jennifer went above and beyond with photos/videos/thorough communication, making me at ease and not worried at all about my cats while I was away. 100% recommend her, you will be so happy you did!!”

“Chelsea has been incredible with our pups! She works with our new puppy on training, and sends the best picture updates. My work schedule rotates every week and she has been so flexible and accommodating. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I have been caring for dogs for about 7 years in Colorado and boarding for 4. There is plenty of space in my home and I work, sleep and eat on the man floor which is normally where we are so the will have plenty of companionship. I have a large back yard for us to play in and I love going the extra mile if they’d prefer long walks or the dog park. I live in a wonderful walkable neighborhood with two dog parks nearby. Currently I am only taking small dogs as new boarders to create a safe environment for little ones. I have a 9lb Pomeranian named Checkers that I adopted in Jan 2024. Checkers is the sweetest little rescue. He is more of a people dog so tends to keep to himself. Please note I do take up to 2 dogs at a time and occasionally 3 over the holidays or on an overlap day. I am currently not available for ongoing checkins or walks during the work day. I work from home full time and I am always around to give your pup attention. I am available during the week and most weekends. I have a 6ft fenced back yard to play in. This is where we do potty breaks as well. I do not let little dogs in the yard by themselves for safety reasons. During the day we’ll go for a walk or play depending on the schedule you’d like to keep. I am here during the working day. If I need to step out in the evening or weekend I limit that to 2-3 hours at a time so your dog gets plenty of attention. My room, office, kitchen and living space are all on one floor so your pet is welcome to make themselves comfortable wherever they’d like.
“Maia was so lovely and accommodating. She checked in on my 15 yr old kitty boy while I was away on vacation, her communication was excellent and I appreciated the photos and thorough summary of his activity and care. Would definily recommend to anyone in need of a good cat sitter!”

“My cat Rita is very shy and generally hates meeting new people. However, she loved Denise and opened up to her instantly. Denise was attentive, caring, and always made sure Rita got the attention and love she needed while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Denise to anyone who wants their pet to be well taken care of!”

“Grace has always taken amazing care of my cat Elsie every time I am away! She very reliable and always keeps me updated, which I greatly appreciate. As a repeat client I would definitely recommend booking with her!”

“We’ve booked Cj twice now and she’s done a splendid job of taken care of our two mongrels. On her last visit she had discovered that one of our dogs got into some pills and she took them both to her house and gave them hydrogen peroxide and watched them for several hours. She really went above and beyond in helping our dogs when we were gone and were extremely grateful for her attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure they were safe. Our pups are both happy and healthy now, thank you Cj!!!! 10/5 stars”

“Omg Cami is fantastic! She responded within minutes to our posting, came over the next day to get the key, and dotted on our boy. I got pictures and thoughtful updates every day and my cat loved Cami! It was such a relief to have Cami caring for my perfect angel baby. Would highly recommend Cami! She even left us a few printed pictures and wild flowers when we got home - so sweet ? This was my first Rover experience and it was stellar. Thank you Cami! ??”

“Robin was so great! She sent the cutest pictures and took such great care of my cat. She really went above and beyond updating me and watering my plants. So awesome!! 10/10”

“Brittany is great! I have a young puppy that is still being trained and is used to being walked solely by me. My puppy is very comfortable with Brittany and Brittany has done a great job walking her in the pouring rain or shine! No easy task with a new puppy! I received constant communication and pics which is great as a nervous new dog owner!”

“This was our third time using Charlotte to care for our elderly, grumpy, giant and we appreciate her so much. Knowing that we have a reliable caretaker so he can stay in the comfort of his home the few times per year we travel, is such a relief. Also- Charlotte has a gift for getting glamour shots of our boy!”
“Michal is our go to guy! He was prompt when we needed a trustworthy pet sitter last minute. Michal was attentive to Benny and kept me in the loop about anything going on! Michal is both a caring and knowledgeable pet sitter!”

About: I am a current vet tech student and future vet student looking to make a little extra money on the side. I promise to spoil your pets and show them so much love! I am an unemployed student, going to school online. So needless to say I have plenty of time to give to your pets! I live a very active lifestyle so I would love to take your animal out of adventures with me! I am very detail oriented and will follow any instructions given to me to a T. Your pets safety is my top priority, and I will not stray!
“Tierney is the best!! She is 100% reliable, a great communicator, and does an amazing job caring for my two dogs who are different ages and energy levels. My pups love her and I know they are safe and have a blast whenever she comes for a visit. She is warm, kind, a true professional and follows my (sometimes long and chaotic) instructions to a T. She always takes the cutest pictures too 😊 I'm so happy to have found Tierney!”
“We're new puppy owners that both had to work, and Stephanie saved the day! This was our puppy's first day at home, and Stephanie made everything very easy by asking all the right questions and taking good care of our puppy, yard, and house.”

“Tina was great taking care of our kitties! She was on time every day and did everything we requested. She always responded my messages quickly and wrote everything that happened during her visit in details; we could almost see our cats and their interactions with her through her words. It was very comforting to know our kitties were in good hands and lessened our worries when we were half a globe away.”

“Lauren’s drop in visits went smoothly as usual! We’re so glad to have a cat sitter who gets along so well with our kitties and takes such good care of them. Thank you Lauren!”

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
