About: Iâve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember and have been a dog mom to 5 of my own, in addition to a few fosters. I currently have 2 medium sized dogs, an Aussiedoodle and an Aussie/cattle dog mix. Iâve also had several large dogs and am comfortable with pups of all sizes. When I was an elementary school teacher, I often dog sat for friends and family on my breaks. This included helping with feedings, walks, outside/play time, and check ins throughout the day. I volunteered with a rescue in my hometown from 2016-2024 and am passionate about dogs. I am not currently working, so I have lots of downtime to help care for pets. I am an early riser and can provide care throughout the day and evening as needed. Because I have pets of my own, I am not able to provide overnight care at this time. I am conscientious and careful and appreciate clear instructions so that I can give the best care to your pet. As a pet parent, I know it can be hard to entrust their care to someone new, and I am adamant about providing a safe and loving environment.
About: I grew up with a dog and a cat, and have taken care of animals most of my life. I don't have any pets of my own right now, which means I'd love to hang out with yours! I'm a online student and gig worker with flexible hours, but mostly looking for drop ins / walks during weekdays. I'm also open to housesitting overnights/weekends for established clients. If you're a new client and you're interested in me sitting for you, we can schedule a meet and greet first - just book a drop-in appt! I'll meet you and your pets and I'll refund you if you end up booking me for housesitting! I like to make sure your pets are comfortable and stick to whatever routine they're used to! Happy to take dogs on walks in your neighborhood, or play with them in your yard.

âStephany walks my Lola while I am at work every day and she is so great with her. She is trustworthy, dependable and so professional! Lola absolutely loves her! I am so thankful we have her and would highly recommended her!â

âNala loved Brittany! This was the first time using Rover and Brittany was so sweet and accommodating. Nala can be a bit overprotective when it comes to strangers coming into the house and Brittany made it easier for me when she agreed to meet Nala beforehand. She was always on time and gave us reports on Nala. Brittany made our first Rover experience wonderful. Thanks!!â

âSo happy my elderly dog can get her daily walks in. Lanae is prompt and always shares a bit about the walk. Her time is greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend her.â

âErica is extremely reliable and communicative, and she takes great care of our dog! There was an issue with the Rover app (completely not Erica's fault) but she helped figure out a solution easily. We will happily continue to count on Erica!!â
About: I have always helped care for dogs, always had one by my side since I was born. I will always treat your babies with love, respect, and give them the personal space and care they need! I also have experience as a volunteer of the humane animal shelter walking many of the shelter dogs and working with the kitties in the shelter. Iâm currently available to work part-time for most of the week up until college starts back up. Then I will go down to most weekends and some weekdays in the evening (except Tuesdayâs). We have a fenced yard, I stick to a schedule on feeding my dogs and always spoil them with treats, toys, and new collars (when I can). We have outside kitties we help feed, house, and respect boundaries to ensure they stay safe. I always ensure that when my dogs need medicine, they receive it diligently and consistently.
About: Iâve cared for dogs and cats since I was young. And have an intense passion for animal happiness and wellbeing. I can care for the sick, the elderly, the disabled, and your average everyday babies. I currently have a wide open schedule and I am available to care for animals at almost any time of day with the occasional gap for the care of my own pets and appointments to uphold. I have a medium sized apartment in an extremely walkable neighborhood with multiple pet friendly shops and restaurants nearby. I engage in a lot of enrichment with my own pets from walking/hiking, playtime with toys, and gentle grooming care.
âJocelyn was great with our little dog! She was super responsive throughout and showed up exactly when we agreed upon. She took our dog on long walks and he loved it. I would recommend Jocelyn to anyone that needs a dependable and professional dog walker! I won't hesitate to ask her again the next time we need help with our little guy.â

âOnyx fell in love with him first sight and was so excited to go on a walk with his new friend! Thomas is a great dog walker. Definitely will be using his services again!!â
âAdrian has been walking our dogs for the past 5 months while we were in transition with housing. It has been such a blessing to have him during this stressful transition. It has been great to know our babies are being cared for by someone as reliable, responsible & caring as Adrian.â

- 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
