About: Hi, I'm Danielle! I grew up with dogs, and now my own dog is my child. I've spent three years volunteering as a dog walker at a local animal shelter, where I've worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Every dog is different, so I like to take the time to understand what makes them feel comfortable. I’m generally available for weekday walks and check-ins, with some flexibility for timing depending. I’m happy to discuss specific schedules as needed. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities as a volunteer dog walker. I’m experienced in handling more complex situations, like dogs who may be fearful, excited, or strong on leash. I use positive reinforcement.
“Morgan is everything you want in anyone who looks after your pet- dependable, observant, communicative. She lets you know what pet owners want to know about the visit. I have a young puppy with many needs, but Morgan gives me great peace with her drop in visits.”

“Chelsea has been incredible with our pups! She works with our new puppy on training, and sends the best picture updates. My work schedule rotates every week and she has been so flexible and accommodating. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Parker did a great job checking in on my cat! He made sure to send me pictures even when she was hiding like the shy girl that she is. Very clear and prompt communication and I felt at easy with the entire process. Thanks Parker!”

“CJ is amazing! She always takes great care of my cat and goes above an beyond to make sure everything at my place is good while I am out of town (waters my plants, brings mail inside, etc) She is also very responsive and thorough. I highly recommend CJ to anyone looking for an awesome sitter!”
About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember and have been a dog mom to 5 of my own, in addition to a few fosters. I currently have 2 medium sized dogs, an Aussiedoodle and an Aussie/cattle dog mix. I’ve also had several large dogs and am comfortable with pups of all sizes. When I was an elementary school teacher, I often dog sat for friends and family on my breaks. This included helping with feedings, walks, outside/play time, and check ins throughout the day. I volunteered with a rescue in my hometown from 2016-2024 and am passionate about dogs. I am not currently working, so I have lots of downtime to help care for pets. I am an early riser and can provide care throughout the day and evening as needed. Because I have pets of my own, I am not able to provide overnight care at this time. I am conscientious and careful and appreciate clear instructions so that I can give the best care to your pet. As a pet parent, I know it can be hard to entrust their care to someone new, and I am adamant about providing a safe and loving environment.
“Robin is great. She is very professional shows up on time and walked our dog for an extended walk. She truly cares about our dog and made sure she was walked feed and safe.”

“Ruby is wonderful! I had to leave town for a funeral and there was uncertainty as to when I’d be returning. Ruby was so flexible and kind enough to work with me in having to extend the trip twice throughout the week. It was a relief to know my fur babies were in good hands while I was away! Will definitely continue to use her services in the future!”

“Ashley was so kind and thoughtful in every aspect of the cat sitting service she provided! I felt completely comfortable that Purrdy would be cared for as needed while I was away. She was great with communication and sent pictures after each visit! I would highly recommend Ashley the next time you need a sitter!”

“Ashley L went above and beyond for me and my dog Bruce when my usual sitter had to cancel last minute. They were incredibly attentive to my furbaby's needs and always left detailed notes on each visit. Booking with Ashley gave me 100% peace of mind while away from my furry child. I would definitely book with Ashley again!”

“Jennifer took amazing care of our cats! She sent lots of photos and great updates on how they were doing which put us at ease while we were away. I would highly recommend hiring her to take care of your pets!”

“Brittany is great! I have a young puppy that is still being trained and is used to being walked solely by me. My puppy is very comfortable with Brittany and Brittany has done a great job walking her in the pouring rain or shine! No easy task with a new puppy! I received constant communication and pics which is great as a nervous new dog owner!”

“Currently my wife and I are at the beach and the only reason we are here able to relax is because of Daria. Before our trip Daria came by and went on a walk with me and our two dogs to discuss our expeditions and the routine our dogs are in. Keep in mind our dogs are spoiled and by the pictures Daria uploaded to the walk reports they are getting spoiled even more! If you are a dedicated dog owner I know it can be hard to trust someone to come to your house and provide the same love you give. Look no further. Daria is wonderful, professional, and confident in her abilities to prove exceptional service. This was our first time with rover since it was so hard for us to find someone trustworthy. Daria will be our go to now when we need to get away. We truly appreciate you Daria, thank you!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs & cats for 5 years and horses for all my life. Neighbors, trainers, and family have relied on me to take care of their pets. I have skill in giving medication, dealing with injuries, and giving special supplements if needed. I am very type A when it comes to doing a task right. And always strive to provide the best care for any pet! Free all day Monday- Tuesday. Also morning time on Wednesday. I am currently working at the salon noon on Wednesdays through Saturday. Schedule can fluctuate! I unfortunately cannot provide any services in my home. But how I would provide care in a clients home if it were to be an overnight situation, I will check on them as much as we agreed on. If your pet has separation anxiety, I will sit or play with them until they feel comfortable.
“Tierney is the best!! She is 100% reliable, a great communicator, and does an amazing job caring for my two dogs who are different ages and energy levels. My pups love her and I know they are safe and have a blast whenever she comes for a visit. She is warm, kind, a true professional and follows my (sometimes long and chaotic) instructions to a T. She always takes the cutest pictures too 😊 I'm so happy to have found Tierney!”
“Denise is amazing! She is very responsive and responsible. She met with us before we booked her on Rover so we could meet her beforehand, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Denise!”

Lisa is absolutely wonderful! My puppy Winston simply adores her and she goes above and beyond what I ask of her when she drops in on him. She's also very flexible with life stuff and is extremely kind and professional. I would absolutely recommend her service!

We have had Lena petsit for us a few times now. She is always reliable and you can tell she truly cares for animals. We went on vacation and leaving your pets behind is always hard but she put our minds at ease and we are grateful for that. I will definitely be booking her in the future!

Kate was so wonderful! She helped us out with a last minute request and took excellent care of our dog. She sent great photos and kept us up to date on all of her visits. We really appreciated how sweet she was to our dog and us as well. She also helped keep our flowers alive during the very hot weather. We hope to use her again!!

Lily was absolutely fantastic with my kitties! She was incredibly reliable, punctual, and made sure everything was taken care of perfectly during her drop-in visits. It’s always tough leaving a pet behind, but Lily gave me complete peace of mind. I will definitely be booking her again!

Five paws from my two picky little critics! 🐾 They were loved, spoiled, and so well taken care of while I was away. The updates and photos were the perfect touch, and I came home to happy cats and a stress free house. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
