About: Hi! I’m Esme, a huge animal lover and proud pet parent. I have a Mini American Shepherd named Kita, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your furry family members. While I adore dogs, I’m also a big cat lover! Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, chasing toys, or simply having someone keep them company while you’re away, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. I know every pet has their own unique personality, and I love taking the time to get to know them. From energetic pups to shy kitties, my goal is always to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and become their new bestie! 🐾💕 Animals are already a huge part of my life! As a dog mom to my Mini American Shepherd, Kita, pet care is built into my daily routine. My days are filled with walks, playtime, training, and lots of cuddles. I genuinely love spending time with animals, so caring for pets feels less like work and more like something I enjoy. Whether it’s a dog who loves adventure or a cat who just wants a quiet companion, I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to the routines they’re familiar with, so I always try to follow their normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, fresh water, meals, and, of course, lots of love. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs. Some pets love long walks and play sessions, while others prefer cuddles on the couch or a quiet companion nearby. I’m happy to adapt to what makes your pet feel most comfortable. In a client’s home, I respect both your pet’s routine and your home, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet.

“Thank you Erika!! Great communication and treated my pets with love and care! Followed all my instructions to a T, including giving my pets their medication, and gave them lots of snuggles! They were happy as could be when I got back from my trip. Erika is a top notch sitter, and I will definitely be hiring again! Thanks again!”

“Heather is awesome!! She was very patient and accommodating with our dog’s needs. Everything you’re looking for with a professional sitter. Will definitely be using her services again in the future! 10/10!”

“Sandra was wonderful! Her love for pets was obvious as our dogs warmed up to her immediately. She sent updates regularly with photos and details. I’m hoping to continue using her services in the future!”

“Courtney is the best. Extremely attentive and prompt in communicating with us. We trust her with our fur babies and are so grateful to have her with them when we’re away.”

“This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my kitties home alone, so I was a bit nervous. Cole did such a great job taking care of them while we were away and I appreciated the daily updates. He brought in a package for us and also kept an eye on our thermostat. Will definitely book Cole again 👍🏻”

“Claudia checked in on our kitty while we were away. She was fantastic about giving us updates and pictures and was very flexible about key pick up and drop off. Thanks for all your help Claudia!”

“Rayanne is great with our shy cat. Our kitty must have remembered her from a trip we took 10 months ago in January, because she came out of hiding right away, looking relaxed. Rayanne is also very dependable and sends great visit pictures!”

“Sydney was amazing and relieved all of our worries while being gone for the week! She provided the best care for our kitties and we would ask for her help again and again. Sydney provided great updates and asked questions if needed! Thank you!”

“Incredible cat care! I could not have asked for a better sitter. I was nervous to leave my cats home while I went away, but Nikki sent many photos and really showed that she was interacting/playing with my cats, which was super important to me. My cats warmed up to her in no time, even the shy one! I would book again in a heartbeat”

“Laurie was amazing! Loved her detailed reports daily. I have a less than friendly cat & an elderly dog that needs meds twice a day. She was trustworthy & thorough. I will definitely be using her again!!”

About: "Dogs Make our Lives Better." I read this quote in a book recently. I think that there may not be a more true statement. I have always had dogs in my life. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to work with dogs, and this gives me the opportunity to care for your pooch in a loving, safe and fun fashion. Not only do dogs make our lives better, but I want to make your dogs life better and hope that you will consider my services the next time you need a dog sitter. About this sitter: I grew up with dogs all around me. From childhood to now, I don't recall a time when I have not had a deep love of dogs. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlotte, was the first dog I had on my own and was the joy of my life. I now have two great dogs, ZsaZsa and Nova. They are my joy and they absolutely love each other. I have a very comfortable and roomy house where your dog can sleep, play and feel safe. I have a large backyard and live in a lovely neighborhood with walking paths and a park. Let me take the burden off of you by hosting your dog in a friendly, safe and fun environment. Why I love dog sitting My dad used to come home with dogs that he rescued from the Dumb Friends League. I remember always being around dogs and the love that I felt even at a very young age for them. I grew up loving dogs so much that I wanted to start a dog walking business. I worked for a dog walking business for a little while, which just solidified my love of pooches. I hope you give me the opportunity to be a part of your pooches life. About my yard My backyard is very large. It wraps around the back of my house. The yard has a deck that lead to a large grassy area. The backyard is totally fenced in and faces my neightbors backyards directly. Some of my neighbors have dogs, however, they are very quiet and rarely bark. When my dog and the other dogs are outside, they like to chat with one another. My experience administering medication I have given medication to my dog, my sister's dog, and my parent's dog when needed for years. I’ve administered medication for dogs who have stayed with us as well. This does not scare me or make me nervous in the least. If I can help the dog feel better or make his life better, than that is the most important thing to me. My husband works from home and I will be working on a flexible schedule. We will have time to potty your pooch and let them outside to enjoy the backyard. I have a large fenced yard. I love that the dogs can run around outside but I can also crate your pet as well as needed.
About: I'm home full-time and can give your dog lots of attention. My sweet Aphrodite (chihuahua/dachshund mix) loves company, too! We have a big fenced in yard to play in and your dog will be free to roam about the house to find the most comfortable spot where they can relax. I currently work from home and can dedicate a lot of time for playing with and taking care of your dog. Pet care is what I love doing and sharing my home with other dogs brings joy into my life. I've lived with dogs my whole life and I enjoy their company. I have a large fenced in backyard for boarding and doggy day care while you are at work. I also enjoy taking your dog for walks in your own neighborhood, if that's what you prefer.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, small, large, and at all stages of life. I know what it’s like to stress about pet care while you’re trying to enjoy your time away and I love being able to help put dog moms minds at ease!! I have two babies of my own who are very mellow but live pretty active life styles. We are constantly together since I get to work from home most of the week and if that means I can help someone with their fur baby then why would I not?! My partner and I both work hybrid jobs so we are fortunate to never really have to leave our fur babies alone. We walk our dogs at least twice a day just because they are older and I want them to be in the best shape through their senior years. I also am huge on making sure my dogs get to experience things so they go with me almost everywhere, even if it’s just for a car ride to get gas!

Erika did a fantastic job! I was hesitant to use this kind of service because we didn't have an opportunity to meet anyone before they would come over. However Erika, made it about as easy as i couldve imagined! Very communicative, friendly, and professional!

This was our first time using Rover and boy do we feel lucky to have matched with Stephanie! The house, plants, and kitty were all well taken care of. It’s one of the first times we were actually able to fully relax on vacation. We will definitely be re-booking with Stephanie again soon!

Ryan is an excellent sitter! He took great care of my cats, spent quality time with them, and sent adorable photos and updates during the visit. Communication was easy, and I felt completely comfortable knowing my cats were in good hands. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.
I booked a dog walker through Rover and had an amazing experience. She was professional, responsive, and clearly cared about my dog from the start. I got great updates and photos during the walk, and my dog came back happy and well-exercised. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does—reliable, kind, and attentive. Thank you for everything.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
