“Mary Jo is such an excellent dog sitter! It was so hard to leave our pup Hank for the first time, but her frequent updates and photos definitely put us at ease. She was also so understanding, patient, and accommodating with Hank's puppy-like energy. Hank was so well cared for and seriously slept forever when he got home because of all of the fun he had over at Mary Jo's. Thanks Mary Jo!”

“Y’all - there is no place else to look besides Christie for furry friend support! She is the kindest, most thoughtful, caring, and considerate Rover friend! After we had a completely unexpected change of plans for our lil Sadie’s care during our vacation (MID-travel mind you! 🫠), Christie came through and saved the day! She not only coordinated pick up of our pup, but truly gave our dog an epic vacay (Sadie loved Christie’s sweet dog, Lilo so much). Her updates and videos of the fun times they were having brought our whole family joy and peace of mind while away, knowing Sadie was well cared for. Thank you, lovely Christie! We hope to use you again and again!”

“Sid took excellent care of my senior pup Finn. She sincerely cared about making my anxious boy comfortable, sent daily updates and photos. Her cats got along great with Finn too. Thank you, Sid and Joe!”

“Danielle is a wonderful dogsitter. She's very communicative and takes great care of our dog, taking her on walks and sending photos showing how much fun our girl is having with their dog and family. We will continue to use Danielle in the future!”

“This was my first time using Rover so I was a little unsure of it. Brooke did a fantastic job with my 4 month Lab! The pictures she sent were great to help ease the mind. I had a last minute change and needed another night and Brooke was more than willing to look after her for another night. Would definitely recommend to others, and will be using again myself!”
“Alyssa took my 8 year old spoiled shi tzu on a hike (mind you, my dog does not do physical activity). Also, Shi Tzu's famously have no emotion. The amount of photos that were sent to me of my dog in a backpack on a hike with her smiling....I never would've expected her to enjoy that. Thank you Alyssa for introducing something new to our pup. Thank you for taking such great care of Mila during such short notice, can't wait to have her stay with you again. Appreciate it!”

“Zeus was well cared for during his recent stay with Chris and Callie! They took him on walks and sent daily updates with pictures. We felt very comfortable having him stay there, and will do so again!”

“We had to book a last minute week long overnight trip and Sean was quick to respond. He is a great communicator and sends lots of pictures. We would highly recommend!”

“Traci was fantastic! My dog had a great time at her place and she took great care of him. Traci sent many updates and photos which was greatly appreciated. I definitely recommend Traci to others!”

“I had a wonderful experience! They were incredibly friendly and took great care of my dog. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos. They were also very flexible with scheduling, making drop-off and pick-up easy. I would definitely trust them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“Lauren was absolutely phenomenal! She is an awesome communicator who sent me photo updates of my pup Knox constantly! It really helped put me at ease when we were out of town. I will definitely use her services again. Highly recommend!”

“We left our dog, Baloo, with Lauren for 8 nights and are so happy that he was able to stay with her. She sent us daily pictures and updates and we could see that Baloo was well cared for and happy. Overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Lauren to others.”

“Easily the best sitter I have had yet on Rover. Geoff was extraordinarily responsive and communicative with me at all times during our puppy's stay. Additionally, unlike some boarders, he did not take on a slew of dogs at once, which I think was better for my dog (who has a calmer personality). Puppy came back tired and happy. I can't wait to use Geoff again.”

“Our dog is super shy and scared of strangers and Danielle did such a good job making her feel comfortable and taking care of her. We had a great experience and would recommend her to anyone!”

“We used Renea for the first time. We dropped off our two dogs for a five day stay. We have a 10 year old and a seven month old. Needless to say they can be a handful. Renea did a great job collecting information on both of them to be prepared. She kept us informed by texting and sending pictures. We felt very comfortable that they were safe and well taken care of during their extended stay. We would use Renea again and would recommend her. We picked them up last night safe and happy.”

“Nichole and Chris were amazing. It was our first time leaving our 6 month old puppy and I was soooo anxious. Nichole made me feel comfortable from the start with lots of pics and communication. They even bought us a new treat bag because another pup got a hold of Loki's and thought it was a fun, tasty toy. Would definitely have Loki stay with them again.”

“I left my pup with Brooke and Nathan for a week while away on a trip. They not only have a great home with a safe, fenced backyard but they were very attentive to details about my dogs needs and they make sure the dogs have as much play time in the yard as they want with shade and water. Inside they are allowed to sleep on a couch or with the other dogs where ever they feel best. I got lots of pics showing the good times and they are very responsive to questions or unexpected changes. My flight was delayed and they made me feel comfortable and at ease with my pick up. I highly recommed these two and will be usiing them again in the future.”

“If I could give Minju and Dale more than a five star rating, I would! It was Kona‘s first time staying with them and she can be a bit shy sometimes, but it was obvious from the first update that Kona was having a fantastic time. They even gave Kona a bandanna with her name on it and took some super cute Christmas photos! We’ll definitely be booking with them again.”

“Deanna was so great with my dog during his stay. She walked him everyday, sent lots of pictures and made sure he felt at home almost immediately. Her dogs also were very receptive to my dog as well, making sure he didn’t feel out of place in the slightest. Highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Centennial
My dog hasn't been with many sitters at all and when she does, she tends to come home and emotionally drained and not want to eat. With Leah, Ellie was just peppy, positively stimulated and starving like she was didn't miss a beat when she came home! I'm so excited we found someone who gets her :)

As always, Roxie loved her stay with Heatherlyn. She had many walks, car rides and trips to starbucks for a pup cup! I loved the multiple videos and pictures that Heatherlyn sends to us so I know what Roxie and friends are up to. We could not ask for a better dog sitter!
Christie is the best! I love how our pup comes home happy and joyful - you can see that she has a blast with Lilo and puppy friends at Christie’s. Plus, her kind and thoughtful photos, videos, and updates are a great way to stay connected while we’re away. Our little fam is so grateful to have found such a wonderful Rover friend close by!

When our dog, Lucy, was reluctant to eat and was a bit timid around the other dogs, Stephanie went the extra mile to entice Lucy to eat and to make her feel comfortable. We got plenty of daily updates and photos. Our experience with Stephanie was terrific, and we will not hesitate to have Lucy stay there again.

Aiden was great! He was available same day for a meet and greet, and Leia liked him immediately. He watched her a couple days later for over a week. I received daily updates including pictures. He even went so far as to buy her a toy because I forgot to pack hers! I highly recommend Aiden.

Ariana was responsive and coordinating our stay was easy. Our pup was greeted at the door by a welcoming family and was immediately at ease. He was quiet and calm when we picked him up, even though it was a very long stay away from home. We would definitely book again!

Alyssa took my 8 year old spoiled shi tzu on a hike (mind you, my dog does not do physical activity). Appreciate it!

I highly recommend Alexis! We were leaving out of the country, and our dog had some last minute itching/licking issues and she really stepped up and handled the situation great. We were so grateful since we had technical problems with the communication and time difference on our side. She's awesome!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
