“Danielle is a wonderful dogsitter. She's very communicative and takes great care of our dog, taking her on walks and sending photos showing how much fun our girl is having with their dog and family. We will continue to use Danielle in the future!”

“Ryan was awesome taking care of our dog! He has great communication and quick to respond. Was very flexible with drop off/pick up times. Would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter, we left our dog for 9 days with him and will definitely book again anytime we need a sitter!”

“We left our pup for 1 week with Rebecca and Meghan and our dog was well taken care of. This was the first time we left her for this long and were nervous about how she'd do but we were put at ease with regular daily updates and pictures. In addition, our dog needed medication daily and it was administered well and Rebecca + Meghan were more than happy to take care of that.”

“David was absolutely amazing! He was able to accommodate our last minute reservation and took great care of our frenchie providing us with frequent updates. I appreciate the communication and easing our minds with a meet and greet to see how our dogs would get along before our trip. David helped make our getaway possible which led to a proposal!! David will forever be apart of our engagement story and will definitely be used again in the future!! I would recommend him to anyone to watch their fur babies! Thank you again!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Sean! He was caring, communicative, and took exceptional care of our dog. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dog came home happy, pleasantly exhausted, and clearly very well cared for. It’s obvious that Sean truly loves animals and goes above and beyond to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved. We would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend Sean to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!”

“Kadin, his wife, and two dogs were perfect home away from home for our two big friendly dogs. They have a big yard and two dogs who love to play, so it was a perfect match with ours! During this sit, we had a medical emergency, and they were accommodating with quick scheduling, drops offs, and everything we needed to get our dogs care during a medical crisis. We appreciate them greatly and highly recommend them to other families.”

“Deanna was so great with my dog during his stay. She walked him everyday, sent lots of pictures and made sure he felt at home almost immediately. Her dogs also were very receptive to my dog as well, making sure he didn’t feel out of place in the slightest. Highly recommend her to anyone needing a sitter.”

“Amy and Ray took excellent care of our baby Boxer! They sent us frequent photos and videos daily showing us how much fun she was having during her stay. This was our first time boarding her so we appreciate having our minds at ease while we were away. Olive can’t wait to visit again soon!”

“Mary Jo was fantastic to work with and Cooper loved his visit. He was spoiled with all the love and attention he received. Would totally use Mary Jo again in the future.”

“LaDonna is always fantastic with our doggo. We love getting lots of videos and it's always clear he's been very well cared for and is super happy. We love booking with LaDonna and look forward to continuing to do so in the future!”

“I can't say enough about Emilee! We absolutely loved having her watch our little guy. She was super reliable...kept us in the loop the whole time and sent the cutest pics. This was the first time partnering with her. Lewis settled in right away and was happy when we picked him up. She walked and fed him on a schedule...zero worries on our end. On top of all of that, she was flexible. Our flight was delayed, and Emilee went above and beyond to provide options. Two thumbs up because I only have two! We'll definitely book with her again.”

About: I have always been asked to care for animals, starting with neighbors at the age of 10, extending to friends, family, and eventually clients from animal hospitals I have worked for. I started as a kennel tech, working in a boarding facility/hospital in 2015, became a registered vet tech in 2019 with a degree from the Community College of Denver, became Low Stress Handling Certified in 2020, and finally, I earned my dog training and cat training certificates in 2021 from Animal Behavior College. I am well-versed with medication and fluid administration, diseases and senior care, but can also help with basic training. I approach all animals in need of medical care with compassion and use handling techniques that reduce stress. Although I can manage more difficult pets, I also just love a good, easy-going pet who wants to snuggle and play! I currently work 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday), but am able to walk dogs in the morning before work, and the evening after work, leaving enough time for plenty of cuddles and playtime before bed. Friday through Sunday, I can spend more quality time with pets in my care. I have a fenced yard and a doggy door for small to medium dogs. I live with and take care of my 92 year old grandfather. He and I have both missed having dogs in the home since my last 2 passed. While I am not yet ready for another animal of my own, my grandfather and I look forward to our furry visitors. I have a caretaker or family member with my grandfather when I am at work, so dogs will always have access to potty breaks throughout the day and plenty of socialization. I am happy to take on animals who are couch potatoes or ones who want to play all the time and go for long hikes.
“Alyssa took great care of Titan. It was our first Rover experience and it was stress-free and he was very well taken care of any happy. Lots of photos of their adventures. Thanks Alyssa!”

“This is our dog's second time with Amy. It is obvious that he is well loved and treated like a dog of their own. I get updates and photos daily and he comes back very happy. I couldn't ask for more.”

“I really can't say enough about how truly wonderful Brenda is. I have never felt so at ease leaving my baby girl with anyone. She communicates daily on your dog, sends the cutest little update videos and pictures. Lilah looked so happy with her and I am so grateful for Brenda's help and care for Lilah. ❤️❤️”

Leah and her family were wonderful during Aspen’s stay! We received regular updates, photos, and clarifying questions regarding a medicine that Aspen was taking. They were very flexible when our return flight was badly delayed, and Aspen can’t wait for her next stay with Leah.

Ariana was responsive and coordinating our stay was easy. Our pup was greeted at the door by a welcoming family and was immediately at ease. He was quiet and calm when we picked him up, even though it was a very long stay away from home. We would definitely book again!

Alyssa took my 8 year old spoiled shi tzu on a hike (mind you, my dog does not do physical activity). Also, Shi Tzu's famously have no emotion. The amount of photos that were sent to me of my dog in a backpack on a hike with her smiling....I never would've expected her to enjoy that. Thank you Alyssa for introducing something new to our pup. Thank you for taking such great care of Mila during such short notice, can't wait to have her stay with you again. Appreciate it!

I highly recommend Alexis! We were leaving out of the country, and our dog had some last minute itching/licking issues and she really stepped up and handled the situation great. We were so grateful since we had technical problems with the communication and time difference on our side. She's awesome!

Denitsa and Charlie dog were excellent caregiver and play buddy to our lil yorkipoo! First time using Rover for us and was blown away at the many adorable pictures and communication that our baby was having fun and lots of exercise! Will definitely rebook with her for our next trip if she’s still open! Thanks so much!

Heatherlyn is the best. Our lab Roxie loves her time with Heather and her dog Lucien. Heather sends pictures, videos and updates (with cute stories of our dog) daily. Our lab loves it so much, she tries to go to her house when we are walking in the area. You can't ask for a better dog sitter!
I am so grateful to Heather for taking care of Birdie while I was away! I had some last minute schedule changes that she was able to accommodate without issue. I had peace of mind the whole time that Birdie was well taken care of. Will definitely be reaching out again ☺️

Ella was great! My dog was with her for an extended period while I was out of the country and Ella made sure Luna was well taken care of, and kept me updated an appropriate amount on how she was doing throughout my trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Luna stay with Ella again!

Maria was wonderful with our senior boy, Baxter! It can be difficult to find the right fit for a dog with special needs, but Maria was very understanding and caring. She opened her home to us to do a pre-stay meet and greet, provided regular updates (and photos), and asked questions to make sure they kept Baxter as comfortable and in his routine as possible. It was obvious when we picked him up that he was happy and spoiled while we were gone and Maria will be our first choice the next time we need care for Baxter.

My husband and I just picked up our 10 month old lab today after almost 10 days with Gessica and honestly we couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was our first time ever leaving him with a sitter so we were a bit worried, and on top of that he’s still a puppy so he can get pretty anxious. Gessica was amazing with him. She gave him so much attention and kept sending us photos and updates the whole time which really helped us relax and actually enjoy our trip. We came back to one happy pup! If you’re on the fence about leaving your dog with a sitter, especially for the first time, I’d 100% recommend Gessica. So glad we found her! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
