“Mike was super easy to work with and my dog got along with his dogs well. He took great care of Pizza with frequent walks and updates. I’d love to use Mike again!”

“Kaylee is AMAZING! She went above and beyond taking care of our dog over a long weekend! She did so many different activities with him and sent us multiple pictures and updates every day! We cannot thank her enough for taking such good care of our dog! We highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her again in the future!!”

“Pamela was awesome with my dog. I have only had my dog for 3 months so there was still a lot I did not and do not know about her. Pamela is a very experienced dog handler and was very receptive to understanding this. She has a wonderful home and yard for a dog to play around in and get plenty of outside time. She is great about communicating while you are away. I absolutely would recommend her and will ask her to watch my girl again!”

“Whimsy received excellent care and attention while we were away. Thank you so much for looking after her! She will miss her time with you and the family.”

“Jen was amazing. My dog had the best time with her, playing in the yard and in the sprinklers. He came back exhausted. Jen was supper communicative and willing to accommodate a later flight. I will definitely reach out to her next time I need a sitter.”

“We had planned this trip to Colorado for about 5 months. Unfortunately, our dog sitter broke her knee and he had to bring our 5 month Golden Retriever with us. The Hotel let us switch our room to a pet friendly room, but we had to find him a very last minute overnight boarding sitter for him. Kailey replied to our request very quickly and really helped us out. She was very friendly, super helpful, and knowledgeable about things we could do with our pup on things. If we’re ever out here again, there’s no doubt we’d use her help again! Thank you Kailey!”

“I booked Jennifer’s onboarding service for my pups over July 4th weekend and the overall experience was wonderful. The meet and greet was held at her house which I appreciated because I wanted to make sure my pups would feel comfortable. Jennifer was mindful and attentive to my pups needs and gave updates whether it’s a message or picture! Our dogs got along and I could tell my pups had a fun time!”

“Tiffany was amazing with Taco - super flexible about pick up and drop off times and great at updating me about him throughout the weekend. They got to go for some walks and have lots of snuggles and Taco returned a very happy boy!!”

“Erica & Dhana did incredible with Lucy when we were away for the weekend! It can always be challenging to trust a new face with your fur baby but they went above & beyond with check ins & photos throughout the weekend!”

“Aleks was an incredible caretaker for our pup! She really understands dogs - both their physical and emotional needs. She was a terrific communicator and sent great photos and updates. I love how she wove our pup into her family activities -- it put our minds at ease while we were on our own adventure. Thank you, Aleks for your careful attention and care. We appreciate you!”

“Melinda is so patient with Pogo, my very shy guy. And she has a great yard, and very comfy home for the doggies. She is so responsive, checking in and sending photos. I will definitely be booking Pogo with her again.”

“Would leave 20 stars if I could! We received lots of updates and were able to have a great vacation knowing Nova was being very well taken care of! Will definitely have Nova stay with Kaitlyn in the future!”

Jenny and Lisa were wonderful with Tanner, and communicated with text updates, and photos. Tanner was well supervised during his stay, and seemed a happy pup. They were also flexible with time on drop off and pick up. I will definitely request dog boarding services with them again in the future.

Erin was absolutely awesome. She is incredibly professional, you can tell this is her full time gig. She texted me photos and updates daily, took my pup on at least one walk a day, gave her lots of backyard play time and even finished off the visit with a grooming! Will def be using her again

We always feel good about leaving our dog Merritt with Erica because we know how well he's taken care of and welcomed into her home. Her dog Maple is easy for Merritt to get along with, too. Our pup actually wags and takes himself on into the house when we arrive for dropoff. She's great about sending photos as well.
Alana was a wonderful sitter for our pup Winnie! She took great care of Winnie and we appreciated the daily updates on how she was doing. Winnie had a blast and it was such a comfort to know that she was in good hands. We would definitely recommend Alana and book with her again!

Gina and Brett and fam took wonderful care of Journey. They were conscious of a minor leg injury and limp and made sure Journey was comfortable and didn’t over do it on walks and things. Would definitely book with them again - they gave my girl so much love and cuddles.

Tammie takes great care of our dog Sadie. Sadie loves to play with the other dogs and we have peace of mind she is being well taken care of by Tammie. Tammie always communicates updates to show us Sadie is enjoying herself. Her communication is timely and she is always reliable. We are so thankful to have found Tammie so we can travel without worrying about our pup.

Thomas was absolutely wonderful with our two Golden Retrievers! We needed someone last minute, and he was incredibly accommodating and easy to communicate with. He took such great care of our dogs and gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. He sent us lots of updates and pictures! We definitely recommend Thomas!

Amanda is a wonderful sitter. I needed someone last minute and I feel very fortunate to have found her. She asks thoughtful questions and took the time to get to know my dog. She sent lots of updates and photos and I could tell he was being pampered and it really put me at ease. I highly recommend her!

I think Daisy & Thor really enjoyed their time with Alan, they have been sleeping all day their first day back with me! Thank you so much for your flexibility in their drop-off and pick-up times. I really appreciate being able to do such a late pick-up due to my delayed flight home, and I will definitely bring my pups over for another visit when my next trip comes up. Thanks for sending some pics of them too while I was out of town, I love my pups so much and think about them every day when I'm away, so to see them happy and doing well in some pictures meant a lot to me.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
