“The absolute best sitters took such good care of cat Mia and even gave us such a sweet incredibly thoughtful gift at the end of her stay :) - can’t recommend Sehwa and Adam more highly! Thank you so much again! You’ll for sure be our first ask anytime we ever need a sitter again :)”

“Sunnie was awesome! Super easy to talk to and coordinate! I loved getting the updates from how Mike and Patches were doing. Thank you! I will definitely use her again ❤️”

“Makayla took great care of my dog Enzo who is a hyper cattle dog mix. He came home happy and tired after playing with her dogs for a long weekend. We will definitely use her again!”

“Ashley took great care of our pup Hank for boarding one weekend!! Made us so relieved to know he was in good hands and happy and healthy. Would 100% book again, thank you!”

“Kani took great care of my pup for 2 weeks. I got daily updates with pictures and it seems like they kept very busy. He gave my dog his meds with no issues, and was easy to work with when my return flight kept getting delayed and we had to shift the pick up time. Will definitely book again.”

“Kelli and Larkin went above and beyond with watching our Millie while we were on vacation out of the country. They watched her for five days and provided us so many pictures and videos of updates including walks, snuggles and zoomies. During Millie’s stay, she was having some stomach issues, and they were so communicative with what was going on and even went and got Millie some chicken and rice, and were willing to take her to the vet. They have without a doubt been the best and most proactively communicative/engaging rovers we have had (even wrote a card “from” Millie when we picked her up detailing her stay 😭 ☺️). Looking forward to leaving Millie in their capable hands in the future!”

“Danielle was great. I was a bit apprehensive about leaving Beyla with someone she didn’t know. Danielle gave me updates daily and the pictures she sent gave me assurance that Beyla was being well cared for. I definitely recommend her!”

“Our beagle Betty had the most amazing weekend in Chris and Amber’s yard! Pretty sure she didn’t miss us at all, she was having such a great time. :) They are a lovely family and I appreciated the awesome pictures they sent during the stay. Would definitely book again.”

“Thomas was a great sitter for my dog biscuit and she was absolutely obsessed with him. He sent pictures and let me know how she was doing everyday. She was the best kind of exhausted after getting home and I could tell she had the best time. Will definitely be reaching out for my next trip!”

“Oh my goodness if I could give 10 stars I would!!! I was so nervous to leave my puppy for the first time, but I’m a nurse who works night shift. Iuliia could not have been a more perfect host for my baby Phoebe! She played with her, put her to sleep, and sent me sooooo many pictures to put my mind at ease :). I had to stay late at the hospital and she was so understanding. Looking forward to Phoebe’s next stay there!”

“Blu is the absolute best! She took care of our pup while we were out of the country. She sent pics/videos daily which made us so happy and feel more at ease. Nivo came back happy and enjoyed his adventures. We have already rebooked! Thanks, Blue!!”

“My Shih Tzu was very happy staying with Janet! She does a great job communicating and he was worn out after his visit since he had so much fun. I definitely would use Janet again.”

“Mitzi & Klifton were the first people I trusted to watch my pup, Kabotie. I was nervous about leaving him with anyone but the meet and greet we had before his stay calmed my nerves. And the daily pictures, sometimes multiple per day were so appreciated. I would highly recommend them for anyones pup, they’re a very loving couple that give a ton of individual attention to each dog. Plus they have a beautiful backyard, perfect for pups to run around!”

“Kevin and Megan took wonderful care of my Luna! Murphy is also the sweetest and got along really well with her. Great communication and accommodated Luna’s extra needs.”

“Gina and Brett took great care of Sophie! They played lots of ball, said they had fun with her and that she is welcome back. We will definitely use them again!”

“Corin was awesome in every way. I was getting married and my puggle had his own special days full of attention. Got plenty of pictures for updates. One even with his tongue sticking out. The whole experience made me not stress over him and i felt relaxed that he was enjoying himself too.”

Erin was absolutely awesome. She is incredibly professional, you can tell this is her full time gig. She texted me photos and updates daily, took my pup on at least one walk a day, gave her lots of backyard play time and even finished off the visit with a grooming! Will def be using her again

We always feel good about leaving our dog Merritt with Erica because we know how well he's taken care of and welcomed into her home. Her dog Maple is easy for Merritt to get along with, too. Our pup actually wags and takes himself on into the house when we arrive for dropoff. She's great about sending photos as well.
Hilary was great with our dog! She was very accommodating for a meet and greet. She was flexible with our plans as they changed and was very understanding with our traveling and outside of service zones. She helped our pup get around on slick floors and was very caring and accommodating to his needs. He came home happy and tried so we know he had a good time. We will rebook again!

Sebastian was quick to communicate, asked great questions and had a good plan for our dog. He’s personable and polite. He was professional and I left our dog feeling confident he would take great care of her. He sent pictures/videos and our dog looked like she was having a great time. Thanks Sebastian!

Amanda is a wonderful sitter. I needed someone last minute and I feel very fortunate to have found her. She asks thoughtful questions and took the time to get to know my dog. She sent lots of updates and photos and I could tell he was being pampered and it really put me at ease. I highly recommend her!

We've had many wonderful experience with Rover caregivers, but Ari and Sarah were just outstanding in so many ways. Their communication was exceptional but moreover, they were so attentive to our cat's physical and mental well-being, and their house is clearly so well set-up for pet care. We also appreciated Ari and Sarah's flexibility and affordability. We will be back!
I was looking to book without much notice and was lucky enough to land Shakti, who was also willing to squeeze in a meet-and-greet beforehand, which immediately eased my stress. Communication was great and they sent daily pics of my dog, who seemed to settle in relatively well. Will absolutely book with Shakti again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
