“Matt is excellent in every way. He communicates well, is responsive, experienced and so so understanding. This was the first time we left our puppy with someone other than family and let’s just say Matt had his hands full. But he handled everything in stride and with so much understanding and kindness. Our old gal and our puppy both had very happy stays. 100% recommend.”

“Jessica was an amazing sitter. My pup had so much fun, he was very comfortable at her home and was well taken care of. She was communicative and sent plenty of photo updates. I felt safe leaving my best friend with her and if I ever need a sitter, Jessica will be at the top of my list.”

“Jessica was amazing with my dog Luna! She sent me pictures every day and treated Luna like her own dog. Luna had a blast with her two pups and came home very tired and happy! Will definitely be using Jessica again :)”

“I really liked Tiffany (and her daughter Sophia). She took great care of my dog Mika. They took her on walks and made her feel comfortable in their own home. She sent photos and updates that my dog was fine. From the beginning, communication with Tiffany was easy. I highly recommend her and in fact already recommended her to my other friends who have dogs too. Mika will be back for sure.”

“Here’s a polished version that keeps your tone warm and appreciative: **Revised Review:** Sam was absolutely fantastic to work with! My dog is 20 years old and is blind, deaf, and incontinent, so he’s not the easiest pup to care for. But Sam didn’t hesitate to take on the job. She took wonderful care of him and sent me photos of him enjoying his time with her adorable little pug. I will definitely use Sam again in the future to care for my old guy!”

“Daphne took amazing care of my dog, Winston! She sent me daily updates with photos throughout my trip, so I knew he was in great hands. You can tell she really cares about dogs and making sure the owners also feel comfortable leaving their dog with her.”

“Sunnie was great! Her dogs Ash and Pip got along great with my golden and they had a ton of fun together! Sunnie was communicative and sent me pics and videos of my dog! Would use Sunnie again in the future!”

“Erica & Dhana did incredible with Lucy when we were away for the weekend! It can always be challenging to trust a new face with your fur baby but they went above & beyond with check ins & photos throughout the weekend!”

“I can't rave about Kelli & Larkin enough!!! My big guy had the best vacation at their home where he got several walks, so much attention and loves, and even homemade treats! Kelli was in constant communication with me sending me updates and pictures all day long ? It was so comforting knowing he was in such good hands with Kelli and Larkin! THANK YOU!”
“Susan was beyond amazing. I have a sweet 4-year-old Pomeranian named Thor who has separation anxiety. I traveled to Southeast Asia for a couple of weeks for family reasons, and this was the longest we’d ever been apart since I got him at 8 weeks old. Leaving him was incredibly difficult, and I had a lot of concerns about how he would handle being away from me. Susan was patient, understanding, and truly went above and beyond in helping Thor transition. She supported him with eating, socialization, and most importantly, helped him feel safe and loved. She was also incredibly kind and compassionate toward me, understanding how hard it was to be away from Thor for such a long time. We communicated regularly, and she sent photos and updates even though I was on the other side of the planet. She was also very understanding when unexpected travel issues came up. Thor had the opportunity to be around other dogs in a safe, structured, and loving environment, and Susan put so much care and intention into every phase of his adjustment. When I picked him up after two weeks, he was happy, calm, and there have been no behavioral challenges since coming home. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about having “Aunty” Susan as Thor’s caretaker.”

“Mike was super easy to work with and my dog got along with his dogs well. He took great care of Pizza with frequent walks and updates. I’d love to use Mike again!”

“Thomas was great with my dogs. We were skeptical about leaving Zero with anyone bevause he is not the best around people. He warmed up to Thomas right away. We got updates and pictures and it is clear my dogs were well taken care of. Would recommend and will be reaching out again in the future.”

“Danielle was fantastic! She was very accommodating and easy to work with, making drop-off and pick-up super smooth. I really appreciated all the photo updates— made it clear Franklin was happy, relaxed, and having a great time. I highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Steve and Susan took great care of my pup, Luna. They have a big, beautiful backyard, but Luna is hard to please in that she doesn't play with toys, chase a ball, or run around the yard to burn energy. She absolutely lives for walks in the neighborhood--it's her most favorite thing in the world. They were accommodating and took her out on walks every day (even in bad weather a couple of those days!). All in all, a great first experience with Rover.”

“Deserea was very accommodating and made these first-timers feel much more at ease by providing us with several updates, pictures, and videos each day. Our dogs also got along great with her dog, Millie! We are so thankful to have had such a good first experience on Rover.”

“Janet is a wonderful pet sitter -- she has a warm, welcoming home and the whole family participates in keeping our puppy happy and healthy. She was very flexible with our schedule and our dog seemed very happy when we picked him up! We will definitely book with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood
Wow, am I glad I was able to book with Lars. Did not know it was going to be this good of a stay for Tucker. We were traveling into town for a few days and I needed Tucker to be looked after for a bit during then. Lars went above and beyond in taking care of Tucker. Tucker and I are active quite active back home as he has hip dysplasia, and I want to keep him healthy and mobile for as long as possible so am always hesitant that his sitter may let them rough house or that on the other side of the coin, no exercise at all. Lars took Tucker and his pup on several walks a day in the nearby Bear Creek Lake Park. It couldn’t have been better, they got along great and could see Tucker was very happy and comfortable and was getting good wonderful and stimulating exercise. It was great too as the pups were a good match! I’ll back with Lars as soon as I am back in the area, no doubt.

Absolutely phenomenal service! Yuehua was so communicative and it was so nice to read all her messages. I am out on a camping trip and it often gives me crazy anxiety to not be able to know how my dog is doing and struggling with bad phone service. But every time I would check my phone I could see that Tbone was clearly a huge priority to her and he was being treated like a king at home. I am now always going to ask her first!

Jamie was absolutely PHENOMENAL! Boe has a bit of anxiety and I wa worried but it seems like I have more anxiety than him 🤣 Jamie constantly kept me up to date with pictures which honestly just made me feel so much better - felt like I was with him kinda still. I would highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for care for their doggy. As excited as Boe was to see me I’m not sure he wanted to leave at all🤣. Chris as a bonus human is just a huge plus as well. Boe loves with my fiancé and I and I thought this setting would be great for him as it’s similar to our current home set up. Upon picking him up, I was told how much of a good boy he was and how they couldn’t wait to see him again. Trust me - Boe can’t wait to see you guys again either. Truly a 10/10 experience.

My dog Luna seemed to love being at Stephanie’s house with her and her little dog Heinz. She has an amazing backyard for the dogs to play in. Stephanie sent a ton of photos and videos and I knew Luna was a happy dog. She responds quickly and is very easy to work with. Luna will definitely go back.

Mike was fantastic ! He and his family took great care of my dog and provided daily updates with photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear they genuinely cared and treated my dog like their own. I came home to a happy, well cared for pup. I would definitely book with them again and highly recommend them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
