“Sunnie was awesome! Super easy to talk to and coordinate! I loved getting the updates from how Mike and Patches were doing. Thank you! I will definitely use her again ❤️”

“So impressed! My furry best friend clearly bonded with both Victoria and her little boy. She listened to details regarding all of my dog’s needs and sent pictures and updates along the way so that I knew everything was going well. I’m grateful to her for her special care of my pup!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Kendra! She took incredible care of my two boys for an entire week and made the whole experience completely stress-free. She sent frequent updates and tons of adorable pictures! She has a nice backyard that the boys loved to run around and play in. She sent videos of their zoomies! I will absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Susan was beyond amazing. I have a sweet 4-year-old Pomeranian named Thor who has separation anxiety. I traveled to Southeast Asia for a couple of weeks for family reasons, and this was the longest we’d ever been apart since I got him at 8 weeks old. Leaving him was incredibly difficult, and I had a lot of concerns about how he would handle being away from me. Susan was patient, understanding, and truly went above and beyond in helping Thor transition. She supported him with eating, socialization, and most importantly, helped him feel safe and loved. She was also incredibly kind and compassionate toward me, understanding how hard it was to be away from Thor for such a long time. We communicated regularly, and she sent photos and updates even though I was on the other side of the planet. She was also very understanding when unexpected travel issues came up. Thor had the opportunity to be around other dogs in a safe, structured, and loving environment, and Susan put so much care and intention into every phase of his adjustment. When I picked him up after two weeks, he was happy, calm, and there have been no behavioral challenges since coming home. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about having “Aunty” Susan as Thor’s caretaker.”

“Olivia and Ryan were amazing with our older dog! She got ample walks and snuggle time and they were great about sending updates and photos! Will definitely book again :)”

“Kristen was great with my 8 month old puppy. She kept him for two weeks and provided me with an update on his well being everyday, along with a short video. This being the first time we had left our puppy I didn't know what to expect with him being in a new environment with new people. I will say he did have some stress related issues but Kristen was very accommodating and worked with him to over come his anxiety. I would highly recommend Kristen.”

“Yael took such great care of Bowie! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept me updated throughout the week with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that Bowie was not only well cared for, but genuinely happy. He had a great time playing with her dog and another pup she was watching, which made the whole stay feel like a fun little vacation for him. Yael is kind, communicative, and clearly loves what she does. I would absolutely trust her with Bowie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Tabea was so great and took such nice care of our dog and communicated very well throughout the whole process! Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter.”

“Fitz had a great stay with Tiffany! I could tell he felt very comfortable in her home and we appreciated the great care and love she and her daughter showered on our guy! We loved getting pictures and daily updates. Will definitely be booking again and highly recommend!”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my fur baby with Erica and Dhana. They are both dog lovers and understood how important she was to me. She got lots of walks and attention - just what she craves! Highly recommended!”

“Absolutely amazing experience. Erin watched my two year old mini Aussiedoodle for the whole week. Not only did my dog have such an amazing time but you could really tell how caring and great Erin was. She truly loves caring for and watching all these dogs. Will definitely be coming back to her in the future!”

“My pup Alvin had the best time with Alexandra and Jason! They provided lots of updates and I knew he was in great hands. They are a very active family and I felt so thankful for the care they provided. I would highly recommend!”

“Ellie came home happy! Made my holiday travels that much more relaxing knowing that Ellie was in good hands. Peace’ home is calm and cozy. Ellie was well loved! Thank you so much!”

“Steve and Susan were the ultimate dog sitters! We had planned to have one of our friends watch the dog and bring her to our wedding so she could be the ring bearer but when our plans fell through Steve and Susan saved the day! They took care of everything we asked and they were available to pick Lucy up from our event in Golden. Lucy was super comfortable there and they even sent some of pictures of Lucy having a great time!”

“Jennifer is a wonderful pet sitter. She took care of my dog very well. My dog loves her house where she has a lot of fun with other friends. I highly recommend Jennifer to anybody who is looking for boarding or day care!”

“Nick was the most kind, best rover you could ask for! We were so worried taking our pups for the first time but he always checked in with us. His home is beautiful and our doxies enjoyed the company of 4 other doxies and a mini poodle!! It was wonderful and they had the most fun. Would definitely come back!!! :)”

“Kim and Chris were amazing hosts for our little dog. Our dog felt comfortable and happy like he was home - their place is very dog friendly and they seem to absolutely love dogs”

“Ashley made me feel totally at ease while I was away from my dog. Her and her daughter gave my dog tons of quality time outside in their lovely fenced-in backyard. I am so glad I found Ashley so that I can use her services again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lakewood
Molly was awesome with Eliza. She watched her for three nights and I felt great about it the whole time. She communicated well, sent photos, took Eliza on some nice long walks, and even played the treat hide-and-seek game I suggested, which is basically the express lane to Eliza’s heart. Eliza also got to sleep in bed and enjoy morning snuggles, so I’m pretty sure she considered this more of a vacation than boarding. Molly’s place is great too, with a yard and a dog door, which gave Eliza plenty of opportunity to protect the property from the ongoing bunny and squirrel threat. The best sign was when I came to pick her up and Eliza barked at me before she realized who I was. She doesn’t really do that unless she feels like she’s with someone worth protecting, so that told me she had definitely bonded with Molly. Molly was kind, attentive, and clearly really good with her. I’d absolutely book with her again.

Highly recommend Makayla! We had a last minute need for someone to watch our 4-year old 70 lb Goldendoodle while we attended a concert at Red Rocks. We searched the area on Rover and found MaKayla so we sent request. Within 10 mins. She had responded she could watch our pup. She made it extremely easy for us - we dropped him off with her that evening and we picked him up the next morning. She shared pics of our dog playing with her pups and sleeping on the couch, giving us great comfort that Dash was being taken care of while we enjoyed the concert! Thank you Makayla for your wonderful care for Dash!

Yuehua took careful care of our dear Shanti! She really helped me out of a last minute jam on 4th of July weekend and for that I’m grateful! Their apartment is small but has lots of love in it. Pics and videos assured me that Shanti was eating well and getting the walks she needs. While there… Shanti even met a new friend in another dog being cared for by Yuehua. Thanks again!

Cheryl was an absolute gem watching our dog Clara for a week! She was so responsive and sent daily updates with pictures, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip. We felt completely comfortable knowing Clara was in her care, and she came home happy, rested, and clearly well-loved. We can’t recommend Cheryl enough and will definitely be booking with her again!

Jamie & Chris were amazing! Great communication and took such great care of our pups. One of our dogs is a senior with an autoimmune condition and it was a huge stress relief to get regular updates and know he was in good hands. We were out of town over the 4th holiday and Jamie did so much to make sure the pups were comfortable during the fireworks. Highly recommend!

They were both so lovely to work with and super easy to schedule with! Their two dogs are so sweet, I almost felt bad picking up my pup she had such a good time 😄 I love when I can go on vacation & my dog also has a mini vacation, and that was absolutely this! Cannot say enough good things, thank you guys!

Stephanie is a truly excellent pet sitter! She looks after our senior Labrador, Juno, like she is her own, and clearly cares very much for her wellbeing. Stephanie always sends regular updates to let me know how Juno is doing, which I really appreciate, and I know Juno is getting lots of love and attention. I highly recommend Stephanie and have no hesitation in booking her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
