“We left our puppy Eila with Sam for daycare for 3 days and she did an incredible job! It was our first time leaving our puppy with someone else and she made sure to make us feel reassured and sent lots of photos throughout the day. By day 3, our puppy was running up to Sam’s door excited for her day with her! Her pug Stella is also so sweet and got along great with Eila. I would definitely trust her and recommend her!”

“Lauren was an amazing sitter for Pascha. She was communicative and kept me updated throughout the day and was also very flexible. Pascha had a great time at doggie day care at Lauren’s and was excited to go each day - which says something considering she’s a sassy Shiba. I’d definitely recommend your dog stay with Lauren, they will have a great time and will be in good hands.”

About: I would love to take care of your dog! I’ve been taking care of pets for years, including my rescue girl, Cactus. Big, small, old, young - I’m confident I can meet your pet’s needs. I run most days and love to hike, so can take your dog on adventures if they prefer. I’m also happy to cuddle on the couch if that’s more their vibe. I work from home full time, so I am flexible to hang out with your pet on the schedule that works best with both you and them. I live in a house with a backyard that has plenty of room for playing! My dog Cactus is three years old and is extremely friendly. She’s playful with dogs that are interested in playing but is very cognizant of leaving other dogs alone if they want to chill. I live with my partner who works from home full time.
“Felecia cares deeply for the animals she sees. She takes time to understand their needs and routines. High maintenance dogs or dogs that haven't been trained are not a deal breaker for her. I was very worried about bringing my dog over since he can be a handful, but Felecia was willing to take care of him. She gave me thorough feedback about his stay when I picked him up. Your dog is in good hands with her.”

“Victoria was absolutely incredible with my dogs! Both of my pups have special needs—one wears a diaper and the other has limited mobility in her back legs—which can honestly be a lot to manage. But Victoria handled everything with so much patience, care, and genuine affection. She didn’t just meet their physical needs; she went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I could tell she was attentive and truly present with them throughout the day. It’s such a relief to find someone who not only understands the extra care required but embraces it with a kind heart. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Lorraine is Amazing. Shyla loves going to her house playing with her friends and hanging out with her favorite people. Fur baby loving family Shyla will definitely use Lorraine as a home away from home”

“Emely has watched our previous senior pup and was very accommodating - so we wanted to have her watch our new pup too! He is very shy and she was very patient with him and provided walks treats and play time. Thanks Emely!”

I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon! Since I’m not working right now, I have the time and flexibility to dedicate myself fully to pet care. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or extra cuddles. Caring for pets is my focus, and I ensure each one gets the attention and love they deserve throughout the week Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or my client’s home, I always prioritize their comfort and safety. In my home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly environment with plenty of space for play and relaxation. I maintain a consistent routine to make pets feel at ease, including regular feeding, exercise, and lots of love. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I make sure to follow their specific routines and house rules to ensure a smooth experience. I’m respectful of the space, keeping everything clean and tidy while providing your pet with the same level of attention and care as I would in my own home.
“Jen, Jim, their daughter, and their pup all really went out of their way to make sure Harper had a great first day with them. Harper especially loved snuggling and exploring their incredible backyard. 10/10 recommend!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the start, they were flexible with both drop off and pick up times, which made our day so much less stressful. They sent picture updates that kept us feeling connected and reassured. Our pup recently had surgery for torn CCL’s and they monitored her activity making sure there was no jumping or rough play while still keeping her happy with love and attention. I was surprised by how excited our pup was to arrive, which is rare since she typically doesn’t like being left anywhere. Seeing her tail wag going into a new place and her happy, relaxed demeanor at pickup said it all. She clearly felt comfortable and cared for. We’re so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter and will definitely be booking with them again!”

About: I work in education and have summers (and holiday stretches) off. My dog recently passed away. He was a large / elderly / mobility-assisted / diapered / blind / medicated dog I had adopted almost 8 years ago. I had adopted a hospice dog in 2023 as well - she was a large breed with multiple cancers, so I am also familiar with that type of end of life care. I love dogs. I have used Rover often and now I would love the chance to use our empty home this summer to pet sit for others! I have an open summer! I work in education and have summers off. I do not have a schedule that I must adhere to. This is a flexible time for me. There are no other pets in our home. I know this is important for some to feel content with their pet being cared for, so this might fill a need that is harder to find!
“Our dog Max had a positive experience in Tiffany’s home. We could tell, because he was excited to head over to her house first thing in the morning, even after we were home from our trip. A doggy endorsement is the best kind! Tiffany was warm, professional, and a good communicator. We hope Max will be able to visit her for doggy day care again in the future.”

“Jennifer was able to accommodate my boys at the last minute for daycare while construction dragged on at my house. She is very friendly and clearly loves animals. I received tons of photos during the day and lots of updates about what they were doing. Boys came home absolutely exhausted and all smiles.”
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Sheridan is $35

Courtney was the best!! She and her partner Chris were both so friendly and excited to watch our dog. She sent lots of updates and so many pictures. It looked like he had such a great time on a bunch of walks and outings. We will definitely have them watch our dog again next time!

I was in a huge bind during my move, and Jason absolutely saved the day by taking care of my pups on short notice. I picked up two very happy dogs! One of my dogs is extremely attached to me and usually very skeptical of new people, so I expected at least some anxiety about being left with someone she didn’t know well. Instead, she was completely relaxed and seemed to genuinely love spending time at Jason’s house. I was honestly shocked because she has never been that comfortable with someone new. Jason has a very calming presence, and my dogs really needed that during the chaos of the past few weeks. I highly recommend him. Your dogs will thank you! 😊

Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my puppy while my husband was in the hospital. You truly went above and beyond by sending pictures and videos, taking my dog on walks, and making sure she was happy and cared for during such a difficult time for us. I’m so grateful for your kindness, professionalism, and support. You are an amazing pet sitter, and I highly recommend you!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
