“Samantha took excellent care of our cat Brisket. She was on time and did everything we asked, and more. She also responded promptly and really helped us out so close to the holidays. Thank you!”

About: Beginning my Rover journey in May 2026 as a full-time at-home pet caregiver, I have prior experience working alongside service dog trainers during my youth and was drawn to Rover due to the emotional fulfillment and reward it gives me. I value the trust placed in me as a caregiver and am committed to ensuring both pets and owners feel at ease throughout their stay. I am Cat and Dog First Aid certified through American Red Cross and have experience administering pill and syringe medication to both cats and dogs. Your pet's well-being is a priority to me and I aim to keep them safe and cared for. I maintain a high standard of constant supervision while pets are in my care and hosting only one family at a time so each pet receives focused, individualized care in a calm environment. I live by myself in a 620 sq ft apartment where pets have safe, supervised freedom to roam throughout the home. During each stay, pets are provided care tailored to their individual energy levels, temperament, and needs. You'll receive regular updates throughout the day so you can stay connected and have peace of mind while your pet is in my care. You will know what your pet is doing and how they are doing. I gained extensive hands-on experience with dogs while assisting with service dog training in my teens. This included working through AKC Canine Good Citizen test preparation and reinforcing proper public-access behavior for service animal standards. My experience working with service animals strengthened my patience, consistency, and ability to read animal behavior while maintaining a calm, structured approach in different environments. Being home full-time, pets will have regular potty breaks, walks, and all day companionship. I diligently follow any set schedules for walks and feeding times and communicate when these tasks are fulfilled. The constant supervision I offer ensures the maximum safety of your pet while in my care. I provide ongoing updates during your pet’s stay to ensure you are informed and reassured at all time.
About: Dog owner for 20 years, ranging from Dachshund to Great Pyrenees. Experienced with very senior dogs and have plenty of daytime flexibility with a little notice. We are a smoke-free home with a fenced yard. I am currently a SAHM with plenty of schedule flexibility with just a little notice. We require a meet and greet with our kids and our small dod named Teddy. We politely request no pitbull/pitbull mix pups. I'm an active person, so I'm happy to take your fur babe for a long walk or if couch cuddles and a quick potty break is what they need, I'm happy to keep them company!
“Heather is great! Our dog can be anxious, and is especially anxious when we leave her. Heather had her calm and reassured from the moment she walked in the door. We enjoyed our vacation with no worries, and when we arrived home, our dog greeted us as if there had been no discontinuity in her life whatsoever. Heather is a dog whisperer! I highly recommend her!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Dilruba. She followed all of our instructions perfectly and went above and beyond by providing a detailed report after each visit. Our cat is usually very timid, but Dilruba made the experience much less stressful for him. We came home to a happy and relaxed kitty, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend!”

“Hilary is an amazing pet sitter. She provides thorough and thoughtful updates for all 3 of our cats. She follows all care instructions and sends great pics with each update. We’re lucky we found her!”

“Maia was so lovely and accommodating. She checked in on my 15 yr old kitty boy while I was away on vacation, her communication was excellent and I appreciated the photos and thorough summary of his activity and care. Would definily recommend to anyone in need of a good cat sitter!”

“Kirstin did a wonderful job taking care of my cat Milo and provided excellent service while I was away. What was originally supposed to be just for a long weekend turned into a much longer need for Kirstin's services when I had a medical emergency while I was away. Kirstin graciously extended her time and ensured Milo was well taken care of until I could return. She gave me detailed updates everyday and went above and beyond to ensure Milo was happy, loved, well fed and looked after. She put my mind at ease while I was gone and I came home to a happy cat :)”

About: I am a certified vet assistant, and have worked with many different braids and sizes of dogs who have different personalities. I can groom, cut nails and clean ears, sufficiently clean out kennels and monitor behavior and I just love making animals comfortable and feel happy! I am working a part-time job but will have plenty of time to make sure your animals get proper care. I am available weekends and weekdays after 2 PM. I do have a fenced backyard and four kitties and one dog that is friendly. I make sure the animals are played with in the day and get some love.
About: I have taken care of rescues since middle school, about 11. Having dogs in this life time has been my greatest reward and joy. ❤️ I have almost full availability to care for your loved pet. I can work almost any schedule needed and can show up on short notice. Animals should be let out frequently and their body/minds exercised. Mixed with a hefty amount of cuddles and approved treats make a happy family member.
“As always, Jenn is the best!! She always makes us feel so comfortable knowing our ladies are well taken care of while we’re away. 10/10 for Jenn, thanks again!!”

“My cat Rita is very shy and generally hates meeting new people. However, she loved Denise and opened up to her instantly. Denise was attentive, caring, and always made sure Rita got the attention and love she needed while I was away. I would absolutely recommend Denise to anyone who wants their pet to be well taken care of!”

“Anna did a great job looking after Cleo! It was great knowing that my kitty was getting loved on while I was gone. Also, she was great at communicating and sending cute pictures.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sheridan. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
