“Stephanie is awesome! She takes such great care of Cooper and I don't have to worry about him on the days I'm not home. Stephanie genuinely treats Cooper as if he were one of her own. She is so warm and caring. She sends pictures of Cooper during their time together and gives me good feedback of his doggie "duties".”

“Samantha took wonderful care of my cat while I was away for 7 days, and I really appreciated her updates and how perceptive she was about how my cat was doing. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of!”

“Summerlyn is attentive and detailed and very clearly a warm and lovely animal person!! Very understanding and flexible when needs change which was a huge relief for me. 10/10 would recommend!!”

“Chelsea has been incredible with our pups! She works with our new puppy on training, and sends the best picture updates. My work schedule rotates every week and she has been so flexible and accommodating. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: Hi! I am 27 years old, and I love pet/house sitting! I love being able to take care of peoples furry friends for them while they're away. I have been pet sitting for the last 7 years and absolutely love it. I also started my own pet sitting business in July of 2019. I am a dispatcher for an EMS company and work Monday- Friday 9-5! I would love to house/pet sit for you as well as walk your dog, and do other activities as well:) I am more than happy to stay over night, or just do drop by visits if that is better for you! I have 3 dogs of my own and they are very active, so being active with your pets is no problem at all! I work full time for an EMS company Mon-fri 9-5. I am able to let them out on my lunch breaks and be actively present. I care for pets in the owners home. I offer drop in visits, walks and overnight stays. I feel that the pets are more comfortable in the environment they know

“Thank you so much for taking care of my cat while I was away! I will most certainly use your services from now on when I have trips planned. You rock, Kathy! Five stars!”

“Nicole was WONDERFUL!!!! Not only is she very friendly and communicative, but you can really tell that she loves animals! She was really present with our kitties and it was great peace of mind to know that they were in good hands while we were out of town! We will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is reliable and caring! Thank you for taking such great care of our babies Nicole!”

“Marissa was so great to work with- she was prompt with communication, reliable, and took great care of our senior pup who definitely requires a little extra TLC, including handling her complex meds routine with ease. Highly recommend!”
“Kirstin is the best! She is so great with our cat who doesn’t open up to others easily! She is so responsive and communicative, we feel so at ease when she is looking after our cat!”

“Heather is great! Our dog can be anxious, and is especially anxious when we leave her. Heather had her calm and reassured from the moment she walked in the door. We enjoyed our vacation with no worries, and when we arrived home, our dog greeted us as if there had been no discontinuity in her life whatsoever. Heather is a dog whisperer! I highly recommend her!”

“Maddie was great with our cats and they looked happy and healthy when we returned home. They took such great care with our senior cat and made our trip so much better with regular check-ins. Would recommend 10 times over!”

“Tierney is the best!! She is 100% reliable, a great communicator, and does an amazing job caring for my two dogs who are different ages and energy levels. My pups love her and I know they are safe and have a blast whenever she comes for a visit. She is warm, kind, a true professional and follows my (sometimes long and chaotic) instructions to a T. She always takes the cutest pictures too 😊 I'm so happy to have found Tierney!”

About: Hi! I'm Alex, I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and have cared for animals ever since I was a baby. I have experience with both senior dogs and senior cats, and I understand the extra patience, comfort, and attention they may need. I love creating fun new games and activities to keep pets happy, engaged, and mentally stimulated while they’re in my care. Above all, I have a genuine passion for working with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. My schedule is currently unavailable on Monday and Tuesday mornings. However, I have open availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as well as full availability throughout the weekends. I’m flexible during those times and happy to work with different schedules to provide reliable, attentive pet care to you and your family When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I make sure pets are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of attention and companionship. I also enjoy creating fun activities and games to keep them mentally stimulated and happy. I’m respectful of each client’s home and follow any specific care instructions closely, especially for senior pets or animals with unique needs.
About: Hi! I have had pets my entire life that I have cared for (as I was always the one begging my parents to get another every couple years!). The past 3 years, I have helped care for the pets in the household, cats and dogs. I love walks and playing with pets as well as just sitting with them. I am a teacher most of the year and looking to make a little extra money doing another thing I love. During the summer, I am super flexible and have lots of availability! Once the school year begins, I would love to spend some evenings winding down caring for pets. I am happy to go for walks or be super active in playing. But, I am also good with just hanging out with the pet as much as they want or don't want (as I know some pets can be shy!).

About: I am a certified vet assistant, and have worked with many different braids and sizes of dogs who have different personalities. I can groom, cut nails and clean ears, sufficiently clean out kennels and monitor behavior and I just love making animals comfortable and feel happy! I am working a part-time job but will have plenty of time to make sure your animals get proper care. I am available weekends and weekdays after 2 PM. I do have a fenced backyard and four kitties and one dog that is friendly. I make sure the animals are played with in the day and get some love.

I can’t say enough great things about Maia! She is the best cat sitter we have ever had. We faced an unexpected travel delay and Maia made sure our cats were all settled until we returned home. Our bengals are very energetic and she plays so well with them. She even brought them a new toy!! Maia is the best, we love her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sheridan. On Rover:

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
