“Pilar was so communicative and Timber loved having her taking care of him. Her drop ins were on time and consistent. Although we were unable during the booking, she was independent and able to accommodate Timber’s needs. She was amazing!”

“Summerlyn is an INCREDIBLE dog & cat sitter. She visited before we booked her and she was so incredibly good with our animals, including those that are more wary towards strangers. She’s highly communicative and has such a loving personality with pets. We could not recommend her more!”

About: Dog owner for 20 years, ranging from Dachshund to Great Pyrenees. Experienced with very senior dogs and have plenty of daytime flexibility with a little notice. We are a smoke-free home with a fenced yard. I am currently a SAHM with plenty of schedule flexibility with just a little notice. We require a meet and greet with our kids and our small dog named Teddy. We politely request no pitbull/pitbull mix pups. I'm an active person, so I'm happy to take your fur babe for a long walk or if couch cuddles and a quick potty break is what they need, I'm happy to keep them company!
About: I am a cat dad to two 5 year old goof balls, Quentin and Bruno. Grew up dog sitting for family most weekends in the summers, experience with senior dogs and cats. Open to sitting for other animals too! Very flexible schedule at the moment so happy to support you and your pets anytime I can! Happy to work with you on what best suits your pets daily routine! If you want me to come before/ after work or stay throughout the day happy to work with you on an individual basis. Currently I am pretty flexible with schedule so happy to serve the community and pets in the best way! Available drop in hours: 6AM- 10:00PM My two kitty boys are loved beyond belief! We spend a lot of time napping and cuddling but just as much playing! One of the cat’s favorite times is dinner when they get a confirmed hug and kiss along with supper! It’s important to me that they know they’re loved regardless of how the day went. Litter boxes are scooped daily.

“Lindsey was so great with our cat while we were away. She had everything she needed including lots of love and attention. It was nice to receive the photos and updates too. Highly recommended”

About: We are Jeni and Ashlie- we have been loving dog parents who have experience caring for dogs for most of our lives. We have raised three rescue dogs together who aged from 10 to 14 years, with varying training and health needs. We are also experienced with sitting dogs for friends and family members, up to one month at a time. We are a family of 4 with two young kids who are not ready to commit to a dog of our own again, yet, and instead would like to spend time loving yours while you’re away! With us, your dog will be treated as one of our family members as long as they are with us. For in-home care, dogs must be friendly, well-behaved, potty trained, young children and family oriented. Well behaved means no digging, chewing or pottying in the home. While we have experience with territorial and reactive dogs, due to children in the home, there is a zero tolerance to aggressive behaviors towards children or people. We are experienced with dogs of all ages and sizes, and children will be monitored for positive interactions with dogs in our care. No cat care provided due to allergies. While we work full-time, we are lucky to work from home a few days per week. We also have a dog door if your pup is fully trustable with free roam in the backyard and house. Fenced yard - large yard; No other dogs in home, we have fish; Family environment; Dog door available, if appropriate; Can crate dog if preferred

Another round of great visits from Lexie. She is extremely responsive, is a great communicator, and above all, we think she provides great care for our blind special needs senior kitty. She sends great updates/Rover cards with plenty of photos. We can tell our Peanut loves her visits.

Tessa was wonderful with our cat while we were away! She was attentive to detail and went above and beyond to care for our spicy little boy. She also kept us updated after each visit, which gave us peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Tessa to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!

I can’t say enough great things about Maia! She is the best cat sitter we have ever had. We faced an unexpected travel delay and Maia made sure our cats were all settled until we returned home. Our bengals are very energetic and she plays so well with them. She even brought them a new toy!! Maia is the best, we love her!

Kathy looked after my two very shy kitties. She did a great job communicating with me during the time I was gone and sent regular pictures. I felt very comfortable knowing she was there for them. We do definitely recommend her if you are looking for a kind and caring friend for your loved pets.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
