“Grant was awesome! This was the second time Grant has taken care of Sonny. He was always on time with his check ins and always included a bunch of photos which was the best part”

“Lindsay did a great job with my dog and 2 cats! They all loved her and she did a wonderful job giving them love and plenty of pets and play during her stop in visits.”

“Steve was referred to me by a friend. He came to do a meet and greet and was available to add check-ins with my pups on short notice. I've been having him come by a few days a week for the past several weeks now. He's flexible, responsive, and completely reliable. I have so much less stress, leaving the dogs at home when I'm at work for a full day, knowing he'll be checking in on them! He's wonderful!!”
“My partner and I needed a last-minute sitter as our original one had an emergency over the holidays, and Alexis made time for some attention for our cats. Knowing our babies were in good hands relieved a LOT of stress. Alexis was very communicative and our kitties loved her! Definitely will be hiring her again <3”

“Ashley L went above and beyond for me and my dog Bruce when my usual sitter had to cancel last minute. They were incredibly attentive to my furbaby's needs and always left detailed notes on each visit. Booking with Ashley gave me 100% peace of mind while away from my furry child. I would definitely book with Ashley again!”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a kid. I have two dogs of my own and I love them with all my heart. I just raised a puppy this year and I have plenty of experience handling strong and difficult dogs, including escape artists. I will give your dog the care, attention, and exercise it needs to be healthy and happy. I am available to walk your dog in the morning before 7AM during the week, and on my hour long lunch breaks when I work from home on Tuesday and Thursday. Saturday and Sunday I am available all day. My dogs are crate trained so I am familiar and comfortable with doing that if needed. I am active and healthy so any exercise that your dog needs, I can happily do.
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life — from cats, dogs, and birds to cows and farm animals. Growing up on a farm taught me how to truly understand their behavior and emotions. Animals naturally trust me, and I build a calm, safe connection with every pet I meet. I also have experience caring for senior pets and helping shy animals feel comfortable. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or just giving love, your pet will feel at home with me. Pet care easily fits into my weekly routine because I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I always make time for walks and pet visits, both on weekdays and weekends. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, so I often plan my days around it. Caring for pets isn’t just a task for me — it’s a relaxing and rewarding part of my routine. When I care for pets, I always follow their usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they have fresh water, proper meals, playtime, and enough outdoor time if needed. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality — whether they need extra energy, gentle patience, or quiet company. If needed I will keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are happy and cared for.

“100/10 Morgan is amazing! If you're looking for a new sitter, LOOK NO FURHTER. Morgan was punctual, super helpful, and extremely sweet with the fur babies. The girls immediately fell in love with Morgan, and I knew they were gonna be happy any time she's around. Morgan is literally the best. Thank you so so so much for your help. ❤️”

“I highly recommend Laura to sit for your fur babies! She was great! My dog isn’t the easiest because she’s so shy and Laura was so patient and helpful. Really put my mind at ease!”

“Jessica is such a kind person and always helps when she is able. I had a personal emergency today and she stepped in to help take care of Mia while I was gone. Thank you so much Jessica! 💛”

“Aislyn was absolutely wonderful during her drop-in visit with our pups. From the moment she arrived, she was warm, engaging, and clearly has a natural connection with animals. Our Pomsky took to her right away, and the little one was warming up to her. Shiba Inus aren’t easily impressed 🙂 She was attentive, kind, and made sure they felt comfortable and cared for the entire time. It gave us real peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and it shows in the way she interacts with pets. We would happily trust Aislyn with our pups again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and truly great with animals.”

“We absolutely love Shari! This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of having her care for our cat, and we couldn’t be happier. She gives us complete peace of mind while we travel, always staying on top of everything and proving to be incredibly reliable. Our cat, Chico, is quite spoiled, but Shari takes such wonderful care of him, making sure he feels loved and comfortable. We truly appreciate her dedication, and there’s no doubt—she is our go-to pet sitter from now on!”

Laura is wonderful. She watched my two cats for a week and she was smart, reliable and caring. She really understands cats: she is a vet tech and has cats of her own. ( I’m sure she does beautifully with dogs too and she has dogs of her own as well but it’s harder for those of us with cats to find a sitter who understands cat language.) I highly recommend her and will hire her any time she is available to help!

Rory did an amazing job taking care of our elderly cat with attitude. We were able to disconnect from home and fully enjoy our vacation because of the care Rory provided to our baby girl. We will definitely ask Rory to catsit again and offer our highest recommendation of her services.

Kelli did an incredible job with our challenging pets. She went above and beyond cleaning up a poop mess that one of our dogs left after stepping on poop in the yard. She was amazing at communicating and sending pictures. I highly recommend her and plan on using her again in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Highlands Ranch. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
