About: I’ve cared for animals in my home since I can remember. House sitting and boarding are just few of the tasks family, and friends have trusted me to do. I have experience with small dogs, big dogs, cats, and even some pigs! I absolutely love animals and would be so excited to care for your fur babies! I’m very active and usually walk at least 5 miles a day, so I’d love to have a four-legged buddy join me. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or keeping them entertained, I’ll make sure they get lots of love and attention. I do work full-time, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my day and make sure your pets are happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet like they’re my own! I love sticking to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. Whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering medications (if needed), or just giving them lots of love and attention, I’m happy to tailor my care to each pet’s needs. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away, and I’ll always keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages!
About: I have grown up with many different dogs in my life! I have had small, medium, and large dogs that all vary in energy levels. Most of my dogs have been senior dogs so I’m very well versed in how to take care of the older ones! I’ve had to move out away from my pets so I’m very sad to not take care of any of them right now but that makes me more excited to take care of ones that need it. I am a student so I will be gone for a couple hours during the day but my mornings and nights are completely free! I will also be able to stop by after class to check on your pets! The pets in my home get a lot of love and comfort. Most times the dogs in my house get snacks throughout the day and one full meal at night, but whatever your specific dogs needs are I can fulfill. My dogs are very energetic so I am accustomed to going for long walks at least once a day.
About: I’ve had pets since I was 5 years old. Rabbits, birds, dogs and cats. Now it’s just dog and cats. Neighbors and friends have relied on me to walk, feed, and play with their pets. We currently have 2 cats and 1 dog. All 3 of them we’ve had since babies to now seniors. I love animals! I promise to care for your fur babies as if they were my own because I do believe your fur babies are a part of your family. I have been a stay at home mom for 9 years. Both of my kids are in school now so my schedule is now more freed up but still allowing me to be there for them. I pay attention to detail and if I notice a pet isn’t acting like there usual self then I start to ask myself questions. Are they hurt, tired, sad, not feeling well, or something else? Then I would call the owner to ask if this is normal because for my pet when it’s not, we go to the vet. I ask a lot of questions because I want to be thorough and make sure I’m giving your fur kiddo everything they need. I offer plenty of pets, hugs, playtime, and love.
“Grant was amazing! When we returned from our trip, our cats were not stressed (that's a great sign)! He spent some time with them giving each individual attention. He followed instructions exactly, plus, he's a really nice guy.”

“Jenna did such a great job with my little girl. She came each day as requested and gave my pup lots of loves and attention. My dog just loved her! Especially after her walk on a cooler day!”

“Sean was excellent with my two kittens! He is reliable, communicative, and flexible. My shy cats were totally comfortable with him and I would recommend him to anybody!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life — from cats, dogs, and birds to cows and farm animals. Growing up on a farm taught me how to truly understand their behavior and emotions. Animals naturally trust me, and I build a calm, safe connection with every pet I meet. I also have experience caring for senior pets and helping shy animals feel comfortable. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or just giving love, your pet will feel at home with me. Pet care easily fits into my weekly routine because I work part-time with a very flexible schedule. I always make time for walks and pet visits, both on weekdays and weekends. Spending time with animals is something I truly enjoy, so I often plan my days around it. Caring for pets isn’t just a task for me — it’s a relaxing and rewarding part of my routine. When I care for pets, I always follow their usual routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I make sure they have fresh water, proper meals, playtime, and enough outdoor time if needed. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality — whether they need extra energy, gentle patience, or quiet company. If needed I will keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are happy and cared for.
“Brianna has been a lifesaver for me. I needed her for a week to take my shitzu out while I was working and she was able to accommodate last minute! I felt very comfortable and very sure that she was walking her and making sure she was taken care of while I was away”
“Matthew did a great job taking care of our cat. He was always on time, sent cute photos along with detailed updates every day, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. We came home to a very happy and relaxed cat and felt that our cat was well taken care of the entire time. We would definitely book him again.”

About: I am a big time animal lover that has taken care of dogs, cats and rabbits for over 8 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in with, feed and play with their animals. I’m currently working 4 10 hour days with Fridays and weekends off. I would be able to hang out with or stop in with your pets in the morning and evening Monday-Thursday or anytime Friday-Sunday I can stop by or stay over and do whatever is needed to take care of the pets in my clients’ home including crating, feeding, letting outside and more!
“Shari is an incredible and compassionate pet carer who is punctual, responsive, and an absolute dream to work with. I was so anxious about going on a trip and she helped put my mind at ease. She is so professional and caring. Highly recommend, will definitely book her again the next time I need pet care for my cat.”

“Kaitlyn has been a great help in taking care of Jake. She spends time with him and gives him the needed attention while I am away. The pictures show that he is really happy when she takes him for his walks.”
“Iman sent great messages after every visit letting us know how our pups were doing while we were gone. Cute photos in every report card, too :) I will use Iman for future doggy care, for sure!”

“Katelyn has become a critical part of our family’s system and we can’t imagine life without her. She is reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful, and thorough in her care of all of our animals. We so deeply appreciate everything she has done for us!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
