About: Hi! I’m Daria. I have experience with dogs large and small. I used to own 2 German Shepherds and I now own two Shiba Inus. I provide lots of love, snuggles, and playtime! When I’m pet sitting, I make sure your pet gets lots of exercise and attention. I’m happy to give them meds and follow any special instructions. I work from home, and have lots of free time during the day and evenings. I’m happy to take your pets on walks or provide potty breaks throughout the day. If boarding at my house: I have a large fenced yard that is secure. I have a 3 bedroom home and lots of room for your pet. My dogs are friendly and up to date on shots and neutered. They get along with all breeds and sizes of dogs. If staying at your place, I treat it with respect and keep it tidy.

About: Please note the following when making a request: - If a drop-in visit will require your dog(s) to be taken out on a leash (not just let into your yard), my walk rate will apply - For walks and drop-ins, a 2 hr time range is required for each visit's arrival time I have had dogs and cats as pets from childhood, and have always been an all around animal lover. I used to work at PetSmart in the pet hotel. I worked there for a little over a year and it gave me a ton of valuable experience in caring for people's pets and facilitating friendly interactions between dogs. I currently work as a server Thursday-Saturday and am just looking for a side gig and would love to take care of people’s pets! I’m free Sunday-Wednesday and am available during the day as well as in the evenings. I am careful to never overbook clients to ensure that your pet is always given plenty of love and attention while you are away! I will always be careful to follow any instructions given by owners. Through my experience working with pets, I have become well-versed in dog behavior and am capable of noticing early signs of fear, aggression, and anxiety and know how to prevent these things from escalating.

Jennie is awesome! She’s super sweet and takes very good care of our boys. She also goes above and beyond - she was kind enough to bring in packages, put away a meal delivery I forgot to cancel, and watered a plant she noticed was thirsty. We highly recommend!
Lexie was beyond professional and took great care of our blind senior cat, Peanut! She was responsive/very easy to communicate with, flexible, and responsible. When we met her, it was really clear that Lexie knows animals (she was really tolerant of our two crazy dogs), and her post-visit summaries were really in-depth. She asked us all the right questions, including things we didn’t think of. Peanut was obviously well taken care of while we were gone. We swear our house was cleaner when we got back because of Lexie! Most importantly, Peanut seemed to really like Lexie during her visits and she was able to administer his medical eye drops (a feat that can be tricky even for us!). We absolutely plan to rebook with Lexie for Peanut.
Megan was great. She reached out with a question several days before the drop in, setting my mind at ease (this was our first time working together). This was Megan’s first time with pet birds, but she handled my feisty bird easily and with no complaint. I’m very happy she’ll be doing a follow up visit this week and sad that she’ll be graduating soon and leaving the DC area. Megan is a good choice for pet sitting.
