“Frank did an excellent job dropping in on our cat Mabel while we were gone! Extremely professional and accommodating. When we arrived back home Mabel was as happy and healthy as the day we left. We will definitely be booking him again to look after Mabel, and will be happily referring him to friends and family. Thanks again Frank!!”

“Jennie took great care of my dogs, one being a senior with extra needs, chickens and pet bird while I was away. She sent lots of updates and pictures and I felt like she went above and beyond making sure the house was also okay during her checkins. She also gave my two pups a cute Thanksgiving bandana ! Will use her again thank you!”

“Ashley L went above and beyond for me and my dog Bruce when my usual sitter had to cancel last minute. They were incredibly attentive to my furbaby's needs and always left detailed notes on each visit. Booking with Ashley gave me 100% peace of mind while away from my furry child. I would definitely book with Ashley again!”

About: What sets me apart is my strong background working in people-focused, high-responsibility environments. As both a teacher and a collegiate volleyball official, I’m dependable, attentive, patient, and comfortable managing a variety of situations calmly and confidently. I understand the importance of routines, communication, and creating a safe and positive environment—whether that’s for students, athletes, or pets. I genuinely love animals and enjoy being active, so I’m happy to provide long walks, playtime, and lots of attention and companionship. Since I’m currently on summer break from teaching, I also have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and care they deserve. While I do not have formal professional pet care experience yet, I have experience caring for and walking my own dog, as well as spending time with and helping care for family and friend's dogs. I’m very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. My background as a teacher and collegiate volleyball official has also made me extremely responsible, dependable, communicative, and attentive to routines and safety. I am currently a teacher on summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving your pups the attention and companionship they need throughout the day. Since my schedule is open during the summer, I’m able to be dependable, responsive, and flexible to meet both you and your pet’s needs. I am happy to come to your home to care for your pet in a comfortable and familiar environment. I can take dogs on long walks, provide plenty of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you are away. I understand the importance of maintaining routines, following instructions carefully, and keeping open communication with pet owners. My goal is to make both pets and owners feel comfortable and at ease.
About: I love relating to animals from domesticated furry friends to those habitat in nature. I am not intimidated by size or medical needs & would relish the opportunity to help your fur baby feel loved & cared for. I have had the honor and pleasure to be entrusted to care for the dogs & cats of my friends & neighbors for over 50 years. I love being outside so I don’t mind taking a four-legged friend for a walk or spending time in a backyard playing catch or tug with their favorite chew toy. I also just like to honor “special time” on a lap, giving cuddles and pets. I have two cats of my own that recently incurred expenses for dental surgery. I was looking for ways to earn extra money when the Rover services popped up as an option. I thought it would be a perfect fit. I would love the opportunity to give your pet some extra care, so that I can care for my cats. My full-time job is at a high school and I have some free time in the summer. During June and July, I am available morning, midday and evenings for dog walks, dog sitting or cat sitting. When school starts my availability becomes limited to midday and evenings. Let’s talk how I can work around your schedule. I work in education, with lots of flexibility in the summer! Once August hits, my availability is limited to early morning & late afternoon/evening. I love furry cuddles, walks, treat time & fun time. My two cats & I enjoy our fenced back yard each morning & evening. Ive had the pleasure of hosting pet friends for overnights at our house. Im also willing & able to meet the desires of others in their familiar spaces.
“I highly recommend Laura to sit for your fur babies! She was great! My dog isn’t the easiest because she’s so shy and Laura was so patient and helpful. Really put my mind at ease!”

About: I have pretty much done it all! I've been around animals of all kinds since birth. I grew up around a herd of Aussies and a cluster of cats whom my mom couldn't refuse! :) I started personally helping with the cats around age 12. I've owned a Rabbit, hamsters, parakeets, guinea pigs, and a frog! I currently have 2 Himalayan cats who are my heart ❤️ I started pet-sitting when I was about 12. I have volunteer experience working at a museum for exotics, and used to work at a boarding kennel for cats and dogs. I supervised large groups of various breeds (dogs/cats) during playtime! Prior to working for Rover, I was a dog-walker/pet-sitter for 7 years for Metro-Pet. I regularly stayed in client's homes when they were on vacation. I've also been a foster mom for a golden retriever who stole my heart! I really have done it all☺️ I love breeds of all kinds, but will only care for those who are non-aggressive. Rover is my only source of income. I have all the time in the world right now to dedicate to this! When I eventually get a FT job, I plan on pet-sitting as a side job. Unless I find Remote work, which then I can bring with me anywhere! Either way, I will work pet/house sitting around my schedule so I can keep doing both! I will treat your animals as I would my own. With lots of patience and affection and snuggles ☺️ I am highly respectful of my clients homes. I am an extremely trustworthy and responsible person. I clean up after myself and leave the home looking as it did when I got there.
“Took great care of my older but shy pup while I was gone for a week. Jenny definetly went above and beyond in caring for her. Would definetly have her watch my girl again if needed. 10/10.”

“Alexis is the absolute best. She is so patient and kind with our nervous dog. She takes a lot of care with communication and photos during her visits, so we can have fun on vacation without worrying. She truly loves animals and is reliable and skilled, a consummate professional. We're so lucky to have found her on Rover!”

“Megan was great to work with! Wonderful care for our pets, and amazing attention to detail. We’re grateful for their flexibility to help us in a pinch, and can’t recommend enough.”

Wolhurst cat parents share their Rover experiences
Kelly did a wonderful job caring for our cats! She followed all of our instructions really well and was always on time. We could tell she really cared for our cats and that our cats loved when she arrived each visit. Will definitely have her watch our kitties again in the future!

Megan was great. She reached out with a question several days before the drop in, setting my mind at ease (this was our first time working together). This was Megan’s first time with pet birds, but she handled my feisty bird easily and with no complaint. I’m very happy she’ll be doing a follow up visit this week and sad that she’ll be graduating soon and leaving the DC area. Megan is a good choice for pet sitting.

Kelli did an incredible job with our challenging pets. She went above and beyond cleaning up a poop mess that one of our dogs left after stepping on poop in the yard. She was amazing at communicating and sending pictures. I highly recommend her and plan on using her again in the future.
I can’t say enough good things about Michelle. She consistently goes above and beyond—on one occasion even picking up treats when I ran out, which meant I came home to a very happy (and very spoiled) cat. What really stands out is how much she genuinely cares. It’s clear she loves what she does, and more importantly, she truly loves my cat—and the feeling is mutual. He’s completely comfortable with her, which says everything. It gives me real peace of mind knowing he’s in such thoughtful, attentive hands. Highly recommend.

This is the second time we've had Frank take care of our cat, Mabel. He is reliable and takes extra care to make sure Mabel has all the things she needs while we are away. We recommend Frank to anyone who needs a trustworthy, and dependable, sitter for you pets. Thanks again Frank!

Jennie did such a great job taking care of our boys! She made sure they each got individual attention, and even gave our Loki some outside time on the deck - which is is his favorite! She also went above and beyond and stopped by a second time after Mongo didn't eat all his food on her first visit. Will definitely use Jennie again!~

I had such a great experience with Gabriela. She was super friendly and clearly loved spending time with my cat. I got plenty of updates and cute photos and it was obvious my cat felt totally comfortable. It made my trip so much less stressful knowing everything was taken care of. I would gladly book with her again.
