“Nutmeg has such a great time here! They were so kind and caring and sent regular updates and pictures! I felt so safe and comfortable leaving my dog with them. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Brenda was wonderful with our golden retriever, Sadie. She gave us daily updates and went out of her way to make Sadie feel safe and loved. Sadie is scared of thunderstorms and Brenda made sure to comfort her during those days. We appreciated the extra attention!”

“Amy and Ray were fantastic. I had a medical emergency and needed a place for my dog with little notice. Amy and Ray were flexible with my needs and communicated well. They took care of my dog like she was one of their own. I would highly recommend them!”

“Brooke and Nathan were great! They were super accommodating for a last-minute request! They made me feel comfortable from our first meeting. I highly recommend!”

“What a great experience! Tamara is a very sweet, loving, but professional dog mom! She kept us updated with texts and pics while we were out of town. Also, I know that our dog loved being able to freely come in and out of Tamara's backyard- something that we can't do at home because of our indoor cats. Overall, I can't imagine a better experience!”

“Keith, Priyanka and Simba were absolutely wonderful! They took such great care of Scout. He had ample exercise, dedication, and snuggles- we never worried once with this lovely family. We’re so happy we found you all!”

“Kaelin is fantastic!!!! Leaving our dog with her made us feel at ease while we were on vacation. Kaelin had sent us photos and provided updates on how our dog was doing. 15/10 Definitely will be reaching out to Kaelin again any time we have travel or vacation plans!!”

“Kadin, his wife, and two dogs were perfect home away from home for our two big friendly dogs. They have a big yard and two dogs who love to play, so it was a perfect match with ours! During this sit, we had a medical emergency, and they were accommodating with quick scheduling, drops offs, and everything we needed to get our dogs care during a medical crisis. We appreciate them greatly and highly recommend them to other families.”

“Deb is an excellent Dog Sitter!!! She took great care of my little girl, Schotzi!! Schotzi had a great time!! Thanks Deb you are a Super Star!!!! I will be asking you to care for Schotzi without any worries. It was her first time being away for 2 weeks!!! Thanks also for the pics!!!”

“One of the best experiences we’ve had! Super communicative the whole booking as well as sent photos daily . Siddhi made us feel like Kenny was being loved and taken care of his whole stay and I would book again if I need to! 10/10 thank you Sid!”

“Niki took fantastic care of Lucy! When we arrive Lucy gets excited and after we leave I get nothing but the cold shoulder and attitude! I definitely recommend Niki for a home away from home for you pup!”

“Maria was wonderful with our senior boy, Baxter! It can be difficult to find the right fit for a dog with special needs, but Maria was very understanding and caring. She opened her home to us to do a pre-stay meet and greet, provided regular updates (and photos), and asked questions to make sure they kept Baxter as comfortable and in his routine as possible. It was obvious when we picked him up that he was happy and spoiled while we were gone and Maria will be our first choice the next time we need care for Baxter.”

“Mary Jo was fantastic to work with and Cooper loved his visit. He was spoiled with all the love and attention he received. Would totally use Mary Jo again in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, small, large, and at all stages of life. I know what it’s like to stress about pet care while you’re trying to enjoy your time away and I love being able to help put dog moms minds at ease!! I have two babies of my own who are very mellow but live pretty active life styles. We are constantly together since I get to work from home most of the week and if that means I can help someone with their fur baby then why would I not?! My partner and I both work hybrid jobs so we are fortunate to never really have to leave our fur babies alone. We walk our dogs at least twice a day just because they are older and I want them to be in the best shape through their senior years. I also am huge on making sure my dogs get to experience things so they go with me almost everywhere, even if it’s just for a car ride to get gas!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lone Tree
I highly recommend Alexis! We were leaving out of the country, and our dog had some last minute itching/licking issues and she really stepped up and handled the situation great. We were so grateful since we had technical problems with the communication and time difference on our side. She's awesome!

Denitsa and Charlie dog were excellent caregiver and play buddy to our lil yorkipoo! First time using Rover for us and was blown away at the many adorable pictures and communication that our baby was having fun and lots of exercise! Will definitely rebook with her for our next trip if she’s still open! Thanks so much!

Heatherlyn is the best. Our lab Roxie loves her time with Heather and her dog Lucien. Heather sends pictures, videos and updates (with cute stories of our dog) daily. Our lab loves it so much, she tries to go to her house when we are walking in the area. You can't ask for a better dog sitter!
Ella was great! My dog was with her for an extended period while I was out of the country and Ella made sure Luna was well taken care of, and kept me updated an appropriate amount on how she was doing throughout my trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Luna stay with Ella again!

Maria was wonderful with our senior boy, Baxter! It can be difficult to find the right fit for a dog with special needs, but Maria was very understanding and caring. She opened her home to us to do a pre-stay meet and greet, provided regular updates (and photos), and asked questions to make sure they kept Baxter as comfortable and in his routine as possible. It was obvious when we picked him up that he was happy and spoiled while we were gone and Maria will be our first choice the next time we need care for Baxter.

In addition to just being incredibly kind and professional dog sitters, we especially appreciate the daily recaps and photo/video updates - it's so much easier and less stressful to travel when we know what a fun playdate our furbaby is going to have with her friends while we're gone!

My husband and I just picked up our 10 month old lab today after almost 10 days with Gessica and honestly we couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was our first time ever leaving him with a sitter so we were a bit worried, and on top of that he’s still a puppy so he can get pretty anxious. Gessica was amazing with him. She gave him so much attention and kept sending us photos and updates the whole time which really helped us relax and actually enjoy our trip. We came back to one happy pup! If you’re on the fence about leaving your dog with a sitter, especially for the first time, I’d 100% recommend Gessica. So glad we found her! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
