“Amy was the perfect sitter! She sent multiple daily updates, followed our instructions, and gave Panda plenty of exercise on walks in the neighborhood and play in her fenced-in backyard. We would feel super comfy leaving our pup with Amy again. Thank you!!”

“Michele and family took incredible care of Bowie - going above and beyond with walks, ball playtime, hikes, and puppy play dates !! Bowie was a happy camper with Michele and looks forward to his next visit :) thank you for taking care of Bowie like your own <3”

“Brooke and Nathan were absolutely wonderful with our dog Jasper. They have 2 of their own dogs and took care of other pups during Jaspers visit so he made some new friends - great for his socialization. Communication was great and pictures were shared. I highly recommend having Brooke and Nathan care for your pets, they will be in good hands. Will definitely book again. Thank you for everything!”

“Michelle did a wonderful job taking care of my dog the past two weeks! I received lots of photos and updates during that time and he was taken on daily walks. He came home tired and happy! I would highly recommend Michelle for your next trip.”

“Our first experience with Brenda was outstanding! We could not be more pleased with the care she gave our 14-year-old Double Doodle, Roxie. And Roxie had a great time also. Brenda has now become our first choice to care for Roxie when we are away.”

“We left our pup for 1 week with Rebecca and Meghan and our dog was well taken care of. This was the first time we left her for this long and were nervous about how she'd do but we were put at ease with regular daily updates and pictures. In addition, our dog needed medication daily and it was administered well and Rebecca + Meghan were more than happy to take care of that.”

“Jen is a wonderful person! So happy to have found a vacation destination for my Toy Fox Terrier. Awesome everything!!!! Thank you Jen for being such a great caring person to my dog!”

“David was absolutely wonderful with Jax. Communication was great, updates were frequent, and I could tell my pet felt comfortable and cared for the whole time. I would definitely book again and highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.”

“Mary Jo and Jim were amazing hosts to Wrigley. We received photos and updates each day and our trip was so much more relaxing knowing he was in good hands and being well cared for, especially over the holidays. Her home has a lovely backyard with a fenced-in yard which Wrigley took full advantage of each day. Hope to use them again on our next trip!”

“Pepper had a blast at Geoff's place. She came home dog tired. Geoff was very good about sendin pictures of Pepper through out her stay. She had a blast playing ball and with Timbo. Thanks Guys!”
“Crystal and family were perfect for Ruby, my dog rescued this year. First time away from me and home for any extended period. Left her for 3 weeks and received pictures and updates to keep me from worrying. Ruby was loved and treated like a family member going on regular walks and to family events. I would use Crystal again and highly recommend her for your pet.”

“Appa loved his time with Keith and Priyanka! We enjoyed playing with Simba too! He was tired and passed out as soon as we got home. I would definitely book them again. They were so sweet and welcoming and I can tell you they take care of your fur baby like it's their own. I would love to rebook with them in the future as well.”

“Tyler was great, accommodating my old dog and sending pics and updates throughout our trip. He was flexible when we needed an extra day due to travel issues, will definitely be using him again.”
“Niki, Josh, and Zeus are amazing sitters! We got daily pics of our pup and they took care of him like he was their own. We were so happy to see that he settled in so nicely and were 100% sure that’s because they are amazing pet parents! Thank you!!”

“Hannah took care of our terrier, Simone, for a couple of days while we traveled. I was a little nervous about the experience because Simone was about 3 weeks post-op from an ACL repair and needed a little TLC, but Hannah's excellent communication reassured me enough to take the leap. Simone was extremely well cared for during our time away and I am so grateful that we got to enjoy a little family vacation without worrying about Simone's recovery. Hannah was very communicative and flexible - couldn't speak more highly of the experience. Thank you Hannah!”

“Peter and family watched Brisket over the Thanksgiving holiday. They had great communication and I have no doubt that Brisket was very well cared for. Sounds like he got along swimmingly with their dog, Riley, which was a huge plus also. I would definitely use them in the future.”

“Tony really enjoyed his 3-week stay. It truly is like sending your cat to summer camp! Sid did an amazing job communicating daily updates and photos. She knows cat behaviors and provides the perfect environment for even the most reserved cat to have a great boarding experience. Tony will definitely be back for future stays. Thank you Sid!”

“Kris and family took such good care of my little Bella. Allowing her to sleep on the bed if she wanted. I can tell she had a lovely time as she did not do her usual crazy “happy to see my mom dance” when we’ve been apart.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lone Tree
We had an amazing experience with Emilee! She was so professional and communicative. Our dog loved her right away and was relaxed and happy throughout the stay. I really appreciated the peace of mind that came from knowing our dog was in such capable and caring hands!

We booked David for a last minute weekend getaway and he did a fantastic job watching our dog. She is a senior Chiweenie and has some extra needs/accommodations. He cared for her well and sent us multiple updates/photos. We would recommend David to other dog owners and would book him again for future trips!

Finding someone you truly trust with your pet is challenging, but Brian and Laura treat my dog like a member of their family. They adhere to her daily schedule of walks, medication and play time so she is following the same routine as if she was home, and their daily updates and pictures give me peace of mind that my pup is safe and happy in their care. I will definitely book with them again.

Jessica was wonderful. We did a meet and greet before hand. Jessica was super accommodating, giving us confidence that Shay was in good hands for the weekend. She provided updates and photos. I recommend Jessica to everyone looking for a reliable, kind person to watch your dog.

Cami and her daughter were awesome. We were very impressed with how Cami responded the very first time we contacted her. She understood our concerns and was quick to respond to all messages. During Pebbles' stay she sent plenty of photos and updates. Overall, we were extremely happy with Cami and her lovely daughter.

Robert and Diane were absolutely phenomenal! We adopted Bean, two years ago, and she definitely is not the easiest dog. They took Bean in, qwerks and all, with open arms and determination. I was sent daily pics, which helped ease my mind, and when I picked her up Robert was just as positive as when I dropped her off. This was our first time ever leaving her and we are so appreciative of the both of them!! We highly recommend them to watch your pup!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
