“Second time using Jonathon to watch my two girls and he did a fantastic job again! He treats them as if they were his own, and my dogs love him. Thanks again for watching my pups!”

“Isaiah house sat for our 2 older dogs. His communication was great and did well with dogs. Gentle manner and seems to really like dogs. Came for a free meet and greet with them prior to dog sitting. He even sent pictures of the dogs, which helps when we’re away from them. He also gave the medicine to the dogs just fine, which was really important. We plan to use him again.”

“Polina and John took excellent care of our playful and energetic puppy! Their communication was great, they sent us lots of pictures and loved on her like she was their own. Highly recommend their services!”

“Ion was very good with our Louie! He was communicative and kept us updated with pictures of their adventures. It’s not uncommon for Louie to stop eating his food. Ion noticed this and made him a doggie pizza to encourage him to eat and it worked! Louie loves to see Ion and is always happy in his company. Louie is an anxious dog but seems happy and content with Ion. He leaves our home clean and just the way we left it. We would recommend his services to anyone!”

“Nikki did such a wonderful job watching Reggie! Reggie can be very timid towards humans, but I didn’t have to worry about a thing and in fact Reggie really warmed up to Nikki and seemed so calm and relaxed when I returned. I would definitely recommend!!”

“Lindsay was great! She sent daily updates and photos of our dogs and took great care of them while we were away. Our dogs seemed to love her! She also left our house nice and clean. We would definitely use Lindsay again next time we need someone to watch our dogs. Thank you Lindsay!”

About: I've had pets since I was a kid of all sorts and I love getting to know the personality of each animal. Just like people, we need to learn each animal the same way. It's a goal of my life to understand them as best as I can to give them the best life possible. Animals under my care will be comfortable, loved on, and safe. I work from home, so I have all day to care for your pet's food, bathroom, and loving needs. I have no days scheduled away from the house on a weekly basis. Whether it's a walk or house sitting, I want to ensure you're comfortable with the care and decisions made to ensure your pets are happy, healthy, and satisfied! I'm not currently accepting boarding, as I'm renting in a home with a smaller dog and an older dog, I am very comfortable in the suburban environment. I enjoy talking to your pets and including them in my day. Making them feel seen and paid attention to even during days when I have work to do! I attempt to fulfill scratch requests whenever I can and love going out of my way to give some unexpected attention when they don't expect it. No one wants a sitter that solely fills the 'needs' without actively offering the 'wants' as well!
“Reise did an AMAZING job watching our two Pomeranians, two cats, as well as taking care of our home while we were away. We are booked again for the Christmas holidays! Thank you again!”

“Thank you Tom for watching the pup! Tom did a great job of sending reports and pictures. Will book again with Tom. I do recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter! Wholesome guy”

We were immediately comforted when showed us photos of just how happy Ben was with her :) You can entrust your dog with Emily. She goes above and beyond to make your dog feel like he's still with family. We HIGHLY recommend her!”

“We are so grateful to have Loren take care of our dog. She treats him like his own. She takes lots of pictures and send some. She even makes her own pictures and leave them after she’s done taking care of your dog. She’s truly outstanding. If you have to leave your pet to go out of town. She is the one you want taking care of your animal.”

“Kristin did a great job with Bones. Took care of him and our apartment and was very communicative. We came home and bones was happy and everything was clean. Would use her again”

“Brianna and Sam were terrific from start to finish! Our two goldendoodle pups had a great time getting lots of head rubs, retrieving balls, and playing tug-of-war in the back yard. Brianna sent pics and updates daily, which were much appreciated! Her communication was excellent and it was great to go away for over a week and feel certain our home and the pups were in good hands.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lone Tree
This was our first time using Kaylee as a sitter. My cat liked her instantly at our Meet and Greet. She followed my instructions, her communication skills are good and she sent videos daily of Chat playing. The house was neat and tidy when I returned home and I don't think Chat missed me at all. Chat and I will definitely book Kaylee in the future.

Brooke was amazing. This was our first time using a sitter in our own home to see if it reduced the stress on our babes and everything went so well. Brooke gave use updates at least twice a day (morning and night) and sometimes during the day too. Our pets were so happy being with her, snuggling, and getting their walks/pets. We came back to our apartment looking great and 2 happy pets.

We hired Polina to stay with our dog, Max, for 5 nights. She did an excellent job. Sent pictures everyday along with daily updates on how Max was doing. She played with him and took him for walks everyday. She is very conscientious and caring. She seemed to genuinely love Max. Our place was clean when we got back. Would definitely hire her again.
Saya was so great with Chester! How can I tell? Because Chester wasn't over-clingy when I got home! Saya send me a photo a day, which always keeps a pet mom feeling secure. He also gave Chester his insulin shots, twice a day. Chester would love for Saya to come back next time!
Kate helped us on short notice when another rover sitter left our animals alone all night and we worked with rover to find a replacement sitter. Her communication was excellent and we felt our animals were in good care. She left our house in great condition. We would absolutely trust Kate to care for our animals again and would highly recommend her to anyone needing someone to care for their fur babies.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lone Tree walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lone Tree maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lone Tree choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
