“Ciara watched our small 2 yr old golden doodles for a few days and nights. She is sweet, caring, bubbly, patient, and you can see that she loves dogs. They absolutely loved her which made us feel secure that our two pups were in good hands while we were out of the state for a family funeral. We left her plenty of puppy instructions and seemed she followed them. She sent photos of our fur babies during our time away. She definitely took great care of them. We would definitely use her again for puppy sitting.”

“Isaiah house sat for our 2 older dogs. His communication was great and did well with dogs. Gentle manner and seems to really like dogs. Came for a free meet and greet with them prior to dog sitting. He even sent pictures of the dogs, which helps when we’re away from them. He also gave the medicine to the dogs just fine, which was really important. We plan to use him again.”

“Brianna and Sam were awesome! They provided detailed updates and lots of pictures. They gave Atlas lots of attention, walks, and play time. Atlas seemed healthy and happy when we arrived home, and the house was clean. We will definitely book them again!”

“Mareena took great care of our Cavaliers while we were out of town. She kept me updated everyday as to how my dogs were doing and she even cleaned up the house before leaving. I highly recommend Mareena for your petsitting needs. She also is a future veterinarian!”

About: I've had pets since I was a kid of all sorts and I love getting to know the personality of each animal. Just like people, we need to learn each animal the same way. It's a goal of my life to understand them as best as I can to give them the best life possible. Animals under my care will be comfortable, loved on, and safe. I work from home, so I have all day to care for your pet's food, bathroom, and loving needs. I have no days scheduled away from the house on a weekly basis. Whether it's a walk or house sitting, I want to ensure you're comfortable with the care and decisions made to ensure your pets are happy, healthy, and satisfied! I'm not currently accepting boarding, as I'm renting in a home with a smaller dog and an older dog, I am very comfortable in the suburban environment. I enjoy talking to your pets and including them in my day. Making them feel seen and paid attention to even during days when I have work to do! I attempt to fulfill scratch requests whenever I can and love going out of my way to give some unexpected attention when they don't expect it. No one wants a sitter that solely fills the 'needs' without actively offering the 'wants' as well!
“Kiera did a great job watching our dogs. One of our dogs is very anxious/nervous around new people and she warmed up to Keira after just a few days! We were out of town for 9 days which is a long time to be away from the dogs. She responds promptly and we felt at ease knowing they were in good hands!”

“Blake was fantastic taking care of our two dogs while my wife and I were out of the country. We received regular updates throughout our trip and we came back to a clean house and two extremely happy dogs. Thank you again Blake! I'd recommend him to anyone and we'll be looking to book him for future trips.”

“Gessika is a sweetheart and we’d happily hire her again. She watched our dog and two cats for 10 days and gave them lots of love. It was such peace of mind knowing our fur babies were being well taken care of while we were out of town.”

“Ayla & Han are great!!! They took great care of my pup while we were gone for a full week. They are trustworthy, clean, and easy to communicate with/contact. I will hopefully get to use them again for future trips.”

“Ashlee took great care of our older dogs, she adjusted to their routine well (including giving medications) and kept me updated daily. I’d recommend her for your fur babies too!”

About: Hi I’m Shelby! I was an executive director for over 10 years in senior living and have taken a step back from the corporate lifestyle. I have had dogs my entire life and absolutely love animals. I have a dog named Koda who is a trained service animal. She is gentle and kind and will play tug of war with other dogs. I view dogs as family members and will treat your dog as a family member while you are away ♥️ I currently am not working and can dedicate my day to taking care of your dog. Depending on your dogs personality I am happy to play with them in the backyard, go on walks, help with minor training, and relax on the couch together. If I do need to leave for a few hours just let me know if your dog prefers to be in a crate or can roam about the house. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible. I am happy to do exactly what you need. It’s ideal to keep dogs in their routine and I will assist with that. I am patient and will spend the time needed to make sure they are comfortable and you know your dog is cared for.
“Liz is absolutely lovely and really took care of our Cosmo! She is respectful, attentive, and a great communicator. She asked great questions and made both us and Cosmo feel comfortable. Wonderful all around experience!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we feel lucky to have found Stephany! She sent us thorough daily updates and photos of our boy living his best dog life. This gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip. Stephany was also respectful of our home and left it as she found it. We highly recommend Stephany and will definitely book with her again!”

“Loren is so caring with our dog and cat and always sends great pictures to show they’re having a good time. Very communicative and prompt. Can’t recommend her enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Castle Pines North
Aleni is great with our two cats and two dogs. She also house sat for us, and everything went smoothly. She is reliable, cares deeply about animals, kept the house in perfect condition, and is a delight to work with. This was our third time using her and I will use her again any time. I recommend her highly!

Mareena took such great care of my pup!! She communicated well and kept me updated with photos of my girl each day. Though my dog leans towards the anxious side, Mareena was very trustworthy and treated her so well that it truly helped ease any worry I had while away :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Castle Pines North walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Castle Pines North maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Castle Pines North choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
