I always ask owners for detailed notes on food restrictions, meds, routines, and house rules so I can provide the exact care your pet is used to. Since I am a school teacher, my schedule is pretty consistent for morning, afternoon and evening care. In the morning (5:00-6:30 am) I love to get the day started by moving my body, dropping in to get the dogs fed, and making sure they're set up for success before my day begins. In the afternoon and evenings (4:00 pm onwards) I like to destress the day by making sure pets are getting exercise and time outside. I dedicate my time to extra activities, such as pet care. I aim to ensure that your pets receive focused attention, exercise, and companionship while their parents are away. On weekends and school breaks, I am more flexible to do longer walks, drop-ins, and housesitting/dog sitting appointments. I am also more available to do midday appointments. I prefer to stay at the client's home for ease of care and pet emotions. While in the home, I abide by the client's rules/desires listed before leaving. I also make sure to stick to their normal schedule as closely as possible. While staying at the house, I will happily take care of trash/recycling, mail, and house plants. Unless permission was granted beforehand, I don't let anyone into your home and enjoy the alone time with dogs.

Easily the best dog sitter our dog has ever had!! This is our first time using Rover and we met Kayla, who truly loved our dog as her own. She came multiple times each day, playing with him and taking him on walks, sending us videos and pictures so we knew how he was doing throughout. Our dog has had some bad experiences with dog sitters in the past, and it was such a comfort knowing he was actually as happy as could be with Kayla. He’s a rescue who still displays a lot of his abandonment issues, making it hard for us to travel without him. Kayla was very understanding, coming to our house often so he could be in his usual setting and making sure to give him plenty of attention and affection. She even seemed to like his “hugs” which he gives both on command and when he’s feeling affectionate. WOW!!! Grant exceeded all of our expectations. He watched both our house and our pups with great care. As for the home, it was in better shape than when we left it. Never expected for a young man to mop our home. Amazing. As for the dogs they were extremely happy and comfortable. My only complaint is the dogs now have higher expectations for me. He walked with them and taught Enzo to run with him. Now they demand more and better exercise. Grant was phenomenal and we highly recommend him. Mature beyond his years.
