“Sean was excellent with my two kittens! He is reliable, communicative, and flexible. My shy cats were totally comfortable with him and I would recommend him to anybody!”

“Ashlee was sooo good with the babies when I was away. Her pictures and updates were so nice - Ashlee went above and beyond by still showing up even though wasn't feeling well. Highly recommend booking with her!!”

“Kiera is amazing! She is incredibly responsive, and we’ve booked her multiple times. She has been able to help us with last-minute bookings, which has been such a relief. Our cats and dogs absolutely love her, and we always feel confident leaving them in her care. We would definitely recommend Kiera to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Laurie was absolutely wonderful checking in on our two cats. Even my shy girl took to her pretty rapidly on our first meeting, and it was so nice to see all the photos and videos while we were away - everyone involved clearly had a great time! We definitely hope to have Laurie help us out with our ladies again in the future!”

About: I grew up with a Standard Poodle that I had for 12.5 years and was responsible for taking care of her from when she was a puppy to a senior dog. I dog sat my neighbor's Yorkie while they were away for a couple days at their house. While I was living at the Olympic training center, I took care of her leader dog for a week, so I have experience taking care of service dogs. I also dog sat about 5-6 people's dogs on the Trusted House Sitter platform for time periods of up to 2 weeks. Finally, I will be dog sitting my Dietetic's preceptor's 14-year-old Chihuahua and cat for about 2 weeks, so I will also have experience cat sitting. Pet care such as staying at the owner's house, dog sitting, visiting the house to let dogs out, and also going for walks fits very well into my daily schedule since I'm a full-time online Dietetics student. I'm also currently doing some nutrition coaching online. Furthermore, I'm an elite cyclist who goes on training rides, but I'm still able to take dogs on walks and hikes depending on their needs. I care for pets in client's homes since I make sure to take care of pets as if they are my own. I like to follow the each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding and walking schedules, medications (if needed), and any other special instructions. I also make sure to provide exercise and play time for dogs, making sure pets always have access to clean, fresh water, and sending photos and text updates to pet owners so they can have peace of mind while they are away. Beyond pets, I like to keep organized and clean while I'm staying at someone else's house and my goal is to leave it cleaner than when I left. If you have plants, I'm also willing to water them while you are away as well!
“Shaun and Rhiannen are amazing. They took care of our babies 4 times now. They play with them; they love in them; they hang out with them. They clearly love dogs. They are also great communicators. We will absolutely have them spend time with our babies again.”

“Riley was terrific with our 2 chihuahuas. Typically it takes them a few days to warm up to someone new but they were snuggling with her the first day. She watched them for 17 days and they were happy and well cared for the whole time. I would trust her with our 2 girls anytime.”

“Jena did a drop in visit for us on Christmas Eve. I really appreciate her flexibility on a holiday. She provided photos and a great update! We definitely recommend her and plan to book with her again.”

“Cameran took excellent care of our pups, we appreciated her keeping to schedule and sending comprehensive updates during our stay. We highly recommend Cameran!”

“Breanna came over to let our dog out for potty breaks and spent time sitting with her and letting her sniff around outside. She sent pictures of her time here and locked all doors back up. Charly has found a new friend and we are so grateful we found Breanna!”

“This was my first time using the rover site and having Lucinda care for our pets while we were away - absolutely wonderful - the process and how easy it was and how terrific Lucinda was! I felt relieved to find someone so great that I could trust. I will definitely try and book Lucinda for our next trip!”

“Connor has been absolutely amazing with my dog Oliver. He always communicates very well and has helped me out several times by adding visits last minute. Oliver absolutely loved playing with him and he always took great care of him! We will miss you Connor!”

“Alyssa took great care of my babies when I was away, she is quick to answer back and I loved getting all the pictures! 10/10 would recommend anyone book with her, and will definitely be rebooking with her in the future”

“Megan was so great watching our cat while we were on a short trip away. We had her come twice a day and she was reliable, thorough, and went above and beyond in dealing with our paranoia about our cat getting out (being really careful to ensure that could not happen). She also heard one of our water alarms beeping continuously, let me know immediately, and dealt with it on the spot so that it wouldn't drive our cat crazy. She could have simply ignored that or not told us but she did and dealt with it. Again - above and beyond. I will definitely hope to book Megan again in the future any time we need to go out of town.”

“The best! Noelle is and I will always continuously try to contact her over and over again for my baby boy! Melo loves her and he couldn’t be in a better care!!!???? thank you so much! Definitely recommend her to everyone!!!”

“Lea did visits for my two sweet cats, one of whom is very needy. It was a relief to know that she was visiting them daily, feeding them, and giving them the much needed attention they crave. Reading the notes about the cats I could tell they were being taken care of. Thank you Lea!”

Megan was amazing as always! She took great care of our kitty and made sure to give her lots of cuddles. She was super communicative when our house started getting too warm and turned on the A/C for us. Will definitely be rebooking in the future :)

Alyssa did drop-in visits for my cat while I was out of town for an extended period of time. She was fabulous and took excellent care of my cat. I received regular updates with pictures and was surprised my shy boy actually came out of hiding when Alyssa came over. I was so happy to have that peace of mind while gone. Hope to be working with Alyssa again when in need of a sitter.
Breanna is fabulous to our Charly! She took great care of her for 2 days while we went on a trip. We were updated on each visit and provided photos and even a couple of videos. It really put our minds at ease and took the worry about her well being off our minds. We are certain Charly will be begging for Breanna in the future.

We have used Connor a number of times to watch our cat. He has been very patient with our kitty. Connor has taken pictures showing us the progress Watson has made warming up to Connor. We saw some very nice cheek rubs from Watson. Connor does the extra step by seeing things that can make our home safer when we are away. He communicates daily with us so there is no guessing. We also appreciate Connor bringing in our packages instead of leaving them outside for the porch pirates. Thank you so much Connor, for being a great kind Sitter.

This is our second time booking with Jacob. We have had an absolutely fantastic experience with him! He did drop-in visits for our three dogs and truly went above and beyond. From the start, he was professional, communicative, and clearly comfortable handling multiple pups at once. Each visit came with thoughtful updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs looked happy, relaxed, and well cared for every time — which says everything. It’s obvious Jacob genuinely cares about the pets he looks after. We came home to three very content dogs and a tidy home. We would 100% book Jacob again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy, and attentive pet care on Rover. Thank you, Jacob!

Kelly is incredible. I first hired her as a cat sitter to help me navigate twice-daily meds & special food & sifting litter for my very-frail-at-the-end-of-her-ninth-life senior cat, Pickles. After a month of Kelly consistently coming by, Pickles has gained weight, has pip in her step, and doesn’t seem on the verge of death. I think Pickles was mildly depressed that I worked away from home, and that Pickles needed a friend. So grateful for Kelly’s love of animals. I cannot emphasize enough how impactful her services have been. I fully trust her with my pets, and in my home.

Ylina did amazing! She followed all my instructions and made my cat feel less anxious about being alone for almost a week. My cat is usually super shy and hides when I’m not there but she easily warmed up with Ylina. Put me at ease while being out of town. She also gave me such good updates and videos/pictures! I will definitely be using her again to watch my babies :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
