Cat whisperer, RVT, CVT

As a Certified and Registered Veterinary Technician since 2006 I have extensive experience working with animals in a circumstance they are often the most uncomfortable. Within the veterinary field I am known as a Cat whisperer, someone who has a special skill of working with cats. Over the course of my career I have done a fair amount of cat sitting, specifically with older felines in need of medical care. These included cats who required medications, diabetics needing insulin injections, as well as those who got subcutaneous fluids. With a deep interest in feline behavior I known that the vast majority of cats do best when they are allowed to remain within their homes while their people are out of town. I also know that for many cat owners who have older felines with special medical needs having a veterinary professional watching over their beloved friends while they are away is the best peace of mind.

Jennie is the car whisperer!! She took outstanding care for our senior kitty Coco. Even gave her fluids, clipped her nails and lots of cuddle time. Book Jennie! You won’t regret it

We adopted a previously abused, aggressive cat one and a half years ago and my husband and I haven’t travelled together since as we didn’t want to have a set back because he’s come so far. Jennie came to meet Dobie and he didn’t run from her. We felt especially comfortable since she’s a registered certified vet tech and has kitty babies too! We took a short weekend trip and Dobie did great. Jennie sent updates and pics and even took care of some alarms that went off! She will definitely be our go to person! Thanks for loving and caring for Dobie while we were gone! ❤️

I was grateful to find Jennie at a time when I needed someone to care for my diabetic cat when I needed to be out of town. My cats are like children to me and I knew right away that Jennie would care for them as such. Her vet tech experience is a huge plus. Jennie will love and care for your pets as if they were her own.

My cat is my world and I know that Jennie will take the best care of her. Jennie is a vet tech and I know that if anything was to happen she would be able to handle it. She is worth it for her knowledge and skills. She is a cat whisperer for sure. She is empathetic and makes special connections with your pets and will takesl care of them as if they are her own. Jennie's background in veterinary medicine makes her the perfect person to take care of senior pets and pets with special needs. She has the amazing skills of administer all forms of medications. I value her ability to notice behavior and understanding what that behavior means so if your pet got into something they weren't supposed to, she would be able to take action to get them the care they need. Jennie is my first choice when I need my pets taken care of and I know that my cat is in good hands.

Schedule

Currently I am a college student and relief CVT/RVT, which allows me to work around my class schedule. Pet care would also allow me to work more specifically with cats that need attention while their owners are out of town all while giving their people the peace of mind that having a medical professional caring for their beloved friend brings.

For all cat sitting I always advise having important veterinary information written out along with a pre-approved amount of funds for an emergency in case I am unable to get ahold of you right away. Although this is a delicate topic I would also recommend having your preference of care for if the cat passes away during the time you are away. As a Registered Veterinary Technician I will be able to advise on options at the meet and greet.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
