About: I have always had a dog since I was 10 years old, and my family currently has a 2 year old Golden Doodle. For the past 8 years I have frequently house sat, watched pets, or stopped by to feed and hang out with/walk them for family and friends. Most of my experience lies with Golden Doodles, but I have been around a variety of breeds and am always open to meeting and learning about others! I am respectful, detail-oriented, and will treat your pet as if they are my own! I work remotely, so I have a somewhat flexible schedule and am able to be at the house during the day Monday through Friday. Sometimes I will go to the gym or do my other hobbies in the evenings. I have a lot of experience pet/house sitting for pets of varying needs. Your pet, their needs, and taking care of the house are my top priority, and I am able to fulfill those things as long as I am given thorough directions. I am independent, low maintenance, communicative, and I will do my best to treat your pets as if they were my own and respect your home the same way.

About: Is your dog an adventurer? Does your pet crave a break during the hectic work day to sniff new sniffs and bark at new squirrels? Does your dog love long walks and sunsets over the mountains? Then I’m the sitter for them! My senior dog and I like to maintain and help maintain your routines to allow dogs to be themselves and explore the world around us in a safe and supervised environment. I've cared for dogs and pets since I was five or six and have over 25 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and health needs. I am Pet CPR and first aid trained. I can provide routine medical care, daily training and positive reinforcement, and specialize in love and care for senior pets. Your adventure-pet will be able to stay fit or get fit depending on their age, needs, and your comfort. Nature walks on-leash are a great option! I only board one pet family at a time, which gives me the opportunity to be diligent with your cats and dogs. It’s like they are at an exclusive resort when staying with me and Dulce for the day or for the weekend! I work primarily from home and love an enriching break for myself, Dulce and for your pets! We take multiple breaks during the day for fresh air and to get good stretching in. If your dog boards with us, we will take a minimum of two walks (am and pm) and will very likely visit one of my two on-site dog parks. Your home is your pet’s castle—please share any rules, expectations, and needs with me in advance to make sure we are all a good fit. With a long background in trusted positions, I will care for your pet, property, and home with respect. I request the same in return, and thank you for that!

I just wanted to share my wonderful experience with Danielle, who walked my dog, Kai. From the moment I met her, I could tell she was genuinely passionate about animals. She took the time to get to know Kai and understand her personality and needs before their first walk. During their time together, Danielle was attentive and caring, ensuring that Kai was comfortable and happy. She provided regular updates and sent me pictures, which truly put my mind at ease while I was at work. It was clear that Kai enjoyed her walks with her, as she came back looking tired. I also appreciated her flexibility and communication. Danielle was always prompt in responding to any questions I had, which made the whole experience even better. I would highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog walker. We look forward to many more walks with her in the future! Thank you, Danielle!

I have nothing but good things to say about Ion. Right away during the initial interaction our dog Dulce, who is normally timid with new people, immediately trusted him and felt comfortable around him. He showed up at the agreed times and took her on her walks and provided plenty of updates and photos and accommodated any requests. Would highly recommend Ion if you are looking for someone who will treat your pet like his own.

I cannot praise Mihaela enough for the wonderful job she did!! It was my first time using/trusting someone from Rover with my dog Blu and I couldn’t be more impressed. Mihaela, was extremely nice, friendly, and great with Blu when she met him! She walked him for the full amount of time and then some on most days. What I love most was her thoroughness of her notes about her walks and the cute pictures she would provide. All in all, it was such a wonderful experience and I can’t thank her enough for the exceptional job she did! Probably will be the only dog sitter/walker I ever go with! 😌

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
