“They kept in touch with me the whole time, sending photos and updates from the walks. My little dog looks very happy and was clearly well looked after. I found the apartment in pristine condition. I am so grateful for their attentiveness and would definitely hire them again.”

About: We will look after older dogs. We take care of 1 dog at a time, so that they do not have to be in competition with anyone else. Retired person, so I have time to spend with your pet. I take walks during the day, so I hope your dog is willing to go with me. I do walk at a slower pace, no running (old knees) I have a large fenced-in backyard, and we live near many walking trails. I will be happy to spend time with your dog and keep it safe and secure
“Blake has been tremendous! Parker is absolutely LOVING the walks he takes her on and he has shown so much care for her and it has helped me and her out so much! 10/10 would recommend for you and your pooch!”

“Lindsay is the best!! I’d like to continue to share my duties with Lindsay but now it’s my turn to turn up the dial. My procedure was denied Lindsay so now I must go this alone before I lose any more muscle mass. Happy Birthday to you Aug 14th. I’ll be in touch if we need to resume. Thank you!!!”

“We were referred to Steve based on such great reviews from former clients. I would totally use Steve again, he was great! Good communication, on time and made sure our pup was well taken care of while we were at work.”
“Christy was a life saver! My dog really connected with her and Christy went above and beyond, well exceeded my expectations. I plan to work with her again and again!”

About: At 27 years old, I've had experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities—from rambunctious puppies who need lots of patience and playtime, to energetic large breeds, to sweet senior dogs who require a little extra care and comfort. I know that every dog is unique, and I strive to make each pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. Whether your pup loves long walks, endless games of fetch, or simply wants a cozy companion to relax with, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'd love the opportunity to provide them with a safe, fun, and caring experience. I can't wait to meet you and your pup! Meet and Greets before booking a service are welcome! ☺️ As a flight attendant, my schedule varies from week to week, but I often have multiple consecutive days off that allow me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care. I keep my Rover calendar updated so you'll always see my current availability. When I commit to a booking, you can count on me to provide dependable care, regular updates, and lots of attention for your pet. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. “I have nothing but good things to say about Ion. Right away during the initial interaction our dog Dulce, who is normally timid with new people, immediately trusted him and felt comfortable around him. He showed up at the agreed times and took her on her walks and provided plenty of updates and photos and accommodated any requests. Would highly recommend Ion if you are looking for someone who will treat your pet like his own.”

“Jonathan is the first person who I have felt really comfortable leaving Parker with for long periods of time. His gentle nature is exactly what the Parker pup needs!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover. Caring for your animals and ensuring their happiness and health is my prerogative. I’ve potty trained puppies, administered meds and treatments, soothed anxious dogs, and have senior dog care experience. It’s important to me to have great communication and of course making sure to send pictures of your pups while you’re away. I’m an avid hiker and always looking for a new dog to join me. My dog Mikko is a pyrenees mix and she is friends with everyone. She’s happy in her crate if you’d like her to be separated when we can’t keep an eye on everyone. I’m currently working part-time and have lots of time and resources to care for my own dog as well as others. My dog, Mikko, is very active and requires walks and playtime, so it’s already part of my routine. My townhouse complex is across the street from a park where I walk my dog every day. I don’t have a fenced in yard, but we do have an outside area right outside where we walk our dog on potty breaks. My place is very dog friendly. Mikko and other dogs are allowed on all furniture. Your dog is sure to be safe in my home. I don’t take the responsibility of pet care lightly. Pets are family and I would treat your dog with the same level of care, empathy, and compassion.
About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs, including my own and helping out friends, neighbors, and family. I pay attention to behavior, surroundings, and the details that help everything go smoothly. I genuinely love dogs, and they tend to love me back. I show up, I’m reliable, and I take good care of the dogs I’m trusted with. I’m happy to work with shy or anxious dogs, as long as they are safe to handle. Dog walking fits easily into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and can plan my day around the dogs I’m caring for. This allows me to be consistent with timing and give each dog the attention they need without rushing. I have strong availability on weekdays between 10am–3pm, with flexible timing on weekends and occasional availability for earlier mornings when needed. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. When I’m in your home, I stick closely to your routines so your dog feels comfortable and everything stays consistent. I’m attentive on walks and during visits—aware of surroundings, using secure leashing, and keeping things calm and controlled. I respect your home, follow instructions carefully, and communicate clearly so you know how your dog is doing. I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs since I was born. I have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes- I currently have my own boxer and two cats! I have experience with training as I’ve trained two service dogs. Friends and family have also trusted me to care for their pets during day trips, weekend trips, and week long trips. My own dog has a special diet and has had medical issues requiring medication so I have experience with those types of needs as well. I am very aware of the needs each animal has and I pride myself on ensuring every animal has the best and most specialized care. My work schedule is fairly flexible and I have varying availability most days. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any scheduling questions! If I’m coming into your home, I will make sure to spend plenty of one on one time with your family member and make sure they receive plenty of love and attention! My schedule is fairly flexible right now and I update the calendar regularly so my availability should all be accurate. I work in healthcare, but primarily do home health so I am already frequently driving around and can make schedule adjustments as needed! I ensure that all questions are answered prior to watching any animals to make certain that all needs are met and any safety concerns are addressed. I also make sure to send frequent updates so you are aware that your pet is being taken care of in the best way possible!
About: I lived with pets growing up...dogs, cats, reptiles, horses. I am very active, and will play or run with your animal for hours! I am licensed to administer medication to humans, and have volunteered with wild animal rescues, so I can care for sick animals too. I choose the hours I work at my job, allowing me to pick up a shift at any hour and remain flexible with last-minute changes. I won’t be boarding at my home, but I have reliable transportation and wouldn’t mind taking your dog to a dog park or nearby hiking trail. Otherwise, let me know what you and your animal feel most comfortable with! I will always respect your wishes. :) I can be flexible, if you communicate your needs with me! ;) Message me to schedule a public meeting place and time so I can get to know you and your dog, then leave from there if it feels right. I only meet in public spaces. :) You can get to know me and how I will vibe with your dog or cat before we hit the trails.

Ashley is absolutely wonderful with Scarlett and Indy! She’s reliable, caring, and I always feel completely comfortable knowing they’re in her care. It’s clear that she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. Having someone I can trust with my dogs when I am away gives me such peace of mind. Scarlett and Indy are always happy to see her, and that says a lot! I couldn’t recommend Ashley more highly and feel very lucky to have her as someone I can count on.

They kept in touch with me the whole time, sending photos and updates from the walks. My little dog looks very happy and was clearly well looked after. I found the apartment in pristine condition. I am so grateful for their attentiveness and would definitely hire them again.

Great walk with Alexandra! This was her first time watching Angus and Guinness, and she did a wonderful job getting to know both of them over the two days. She was communicative, reliable, and clearly comfortable with dogs of different personalities. Angus and Guinness came back happy from their walks. Will definitely book her again!

We are going to miss Talia! She has been so good to Willow. She came in last minute to help me walk her, she has been so flexible and very communicative! She sends pictures during walks, takes time to make sure Willow was settled in after each walk! We wish you the best!

Katelyn has been walking our dog Amina for about two months now and has been fantastic. She is consistent, honest, amazing with Amina, patient and prepared! I'm so glad we decided to invest in her services to help us make sure Amina gets enough daily exercise!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
