I do work full time so your pet may be alone for a maximum of 8 hours when I am staying with them. I generally work 10 hour shifts between the hours of 7AM-7PM with a 1 hour lunch break. I work 4 days a week between Monday and Saturday.

I will always check in on your pet during my lunch break as long as you are within my service range. Not only will I be caring for your pet in an environment they are comfortable in, but I’ll also provide security of having someone in and caring for your house while you’re away!

I would like to know if there are any medical or behavioral conditions I should be aware of. It's also useful for me to know any of your usual routines that your pet is used to so I can try my best to follow those as well. I want your pets to be as comfortable as possible while you are away and with their new bestie (me)!! I am always thrilled with owners who leave me their pets’ veterinary contact information. If you want to go above and beyond, calling your vet to let them know that you authorize me to watch your pets and/or seek veterinary care while you’re away is amazing. You can also leave a small note with me to be able to take if they do need to be seen by a vet.
A typical day
Your pet will enjoy plenty of play time as well as cuddles when they want it! We can go on walks as often as 2-3 times a day. If you mention that you’ve read my profile and this first time discount, I will honor a $10 off discount as a thank you!

*NEW SUMMER 2026 RATES* **Please note: I do work full time at the animal hospital and may be away from your pet for up to 8 hours at a time on days I work from work start until my lunch break.** My name is Mareena and I have been working In the veterinary field for 16 years now. I've been everything from a kennel worker to a veterinary assistant to a registered veterinary technician. I currently work full time as a veterinary technician at the wonderful Animal Care Center of Castle Pines. I’ve been with them since 2015! I have my own experience with many animals growing up. Not only did I grow up with a family dog, but I've also had rabbits, hamsters, turtles, frogs and fish. At home, I currently have a kitty named BB8 which my fiancé happily takes care of while I take care of your pets. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember and I still aspire to stay in the veterinary field into the future. I've completed my bachelor's degree in Biology at Baylor University in Texas. Sic 'em, Bears! I have jumped through all the hoops to officially hold my Registered Veterinary Technician license in Colorado as of 2023!

Mareena was fantastic! She took great care of our senior dog, Honey, while also house sitting. She administered her medications, helped her with the stairs, and spent lots of quality time with her. She provided us with daily updates and photos as well. And she left our home spotless! I highly recommend Mareena and would definitely use her again.
