After 17 years, I just closed a youth-based nonprofit that I founded. Through Rover, I am fulfilling my other passion- dogs! I am able to have dog friends over 7 days a week. Between my husband and I, one of us is always home. I want our pup guests to have a fun, busy adventure while they are here, so we are very active, unless you prefer an inactive/quiet stay for your fur baby.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a spacious home where dogs of all sizes are welcome. I have a large, fenced in yard (5 feet high) and live on a corner lot where dogs can watch the world go by through the fence. My large, friendly dog, Pretzel, LOVES being around dogs of all sizes. If they're medium to large and willing, he likes to wrestle. If they're small he likes to play chase or just hang out. He adapts quickly to the personalities and sizes of our dog guests. The dogs can go in and out through the dog door, however, new friends will not be left outside unattended until I'm 100% sure that the pups are thriving and happy with each other. Very small dogs will not be left outside without supervision. I will play whatever your dog likes to play, pet them, walk them and do whatever makes them feel loved, happy and safe. I have experience giving dogs injections and medications. For overnights, dogs can sleep in our bedroom but the door remains open in case they want their own space.

Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is anxious in new environments, what their preferred activities are, if they have any behavior issues (excessive barking, food, ball or toy aggression, etc.) and how they respond to large, playful dogs since we have one.
A typical day
I will talk to your dogs, play preferred games, i.e., fetch, tug of war, find hidden treats, puzzles or whatever they enjoy. My neighborhood is a dog utopia. There are miles of open space trails and creeks that we typically walk two times a day. If you approve and your dog has good recall, we have an off-leash park in our neighborhood where dogs can run and socialize with other dogs.

Loving dog home!
Pet care experience
I've been a dog-lover my entire life. In my 20's, I volunteered at the Dumb Friend's League (Humane Colorado) and adopted 2 dogs during that experience. I've adopted 5 dogs over the past 25 years and I've personally trained them all. I'm the person friends and family contact for dog care when they're going on vacation. That's why I decided to offer day care and boarding. A house is not a home without dogs!
Reviews
Stephanie is the best!
Rosie super bored after coming back home. She has so much fun at your place! Thanks again!

So many pictures and updates! Stephanie really made us confident that our girls were happy and cared for. They had such a great time and slept for 3 days when then got home!

Stephanie is an absolute angel!! I am scared if I say too much about how much we love her she will be booked out for eternity! But seriously, the moment I met Stephanie I knew she had a deep love for animals which also extended into a warmth and compassion for the parents of those puppers as well. Our Luci has done a few day trips and had an overnight building up to our big 4 day boarding with her. By the 2nd visit, Luci was wagging her tail excited to see her. The big 4-day stay Luci happily went with Stephanie into her home and didn't look back. It made that hard moment for me so so so much easier. I kept thinking, at least she's with Stephanie and the pups there having a blast and getting lots of love. We received videos and photos everyday, we called them "Luci Drops" because we would get them throughout the day and yes, on vacation they might have been what we looked forward to most. It's truly such a kind, compassionate thing to do. She knows we're worried and miss her and it was those updates that made it all okay. Luci was so happy when saw her, and almost a little bitter with us when we got home, for A) not seeing her for 4 days, and for B) having a clearly less fun house compared to Aunty Stephanie's. We are so grateful to have found Stephanie and truly trust her with our baby. I know Luci is very excited for her next visit over there! Thank you so so so much for taking care of our Luci and letting us know she's loved while we're gone. We have a little thank you for you next time we see you!! <3
