“Vera did great checking in on my dogs! She communicated well and sent updates. They were well taken care of and happy when I got home. It’s nice to have a peace of mind when your pups are in good hands”

“Thank you so much again. I really appreciate that you got the bun some carrots and pee pads when we ran out! It also was really cool of you to drop in twice. We always hate leaving our animals, but I felt they were very well taken of.”

About: I have a biology background with 10 years experience In the zoo industry as well as 30 years owning and training my own dogs. My goal is providing a positive experience for both my clients and their loved pets. Your dog is as big part of you family and who you trust them with is very important. It's a great honor to know that my clients trust me with their beloved family members. I also have a love for the outdoors and exercise ( hiking and long walks ) have become a big part of life for and I long when I can bring a new friend with me. I want to be your "go to guy" when you need a little help with your furry friend. Thank you I have a very flexible schedule offering around the clock care and i truly cater to my client's needs making ever day a special one for your furry friend. I offer in home care where i can decrease the stress on your little friend by alonging them to stay in a familiar environment. This include regular dog walking, play time , and feeding. About: I have about two years of hands-on pet care experience. For a year and a half, I volunteered at the Humane Society, where I learned how to read dog body language, handle different temperaments, and keep dogs safe and calm on walks. I also spent two years helping my parents raise and train our family dog, so I am very comfortable with basic training, positive reinforcement, and keeping routines consistent. Because of my shelter background, I am patient with shy or high-energy dogs, and I always prioritize safety on walks by avoiding stressful situations or unknown off-leash dogs. I am currently a freshman online student at CSU. Since I am adjusting to my first year of college, I treat pet care like structured, scheduled appointments rather than trying to do everything at once. I am already used to balancing my time because I regularly look after my aunt's dogs around my schoolwork. Because my classes are online, I don't have to commute, which gives me specific windows during the day for walks and check-ins. Because I complete most of my coursework on Mondays and Tuesdays, I have limited time that I can spend with housesitting those days, I will have to return home for about 3-6 hours to study on Mondays and Tuesdays if I am housesitting. Safety is my main focus because of my background volunteering at the Humane Society. That experience taught me to always be alert, double-check leash attachments, and watch for warning signs in a dog's body language before any issues happen. On walks, I keep a tight grip on the leash, look out for hazards, and never let strange dogs approach or interact with your pup on the street. For house sitting, I respect your home completely and follow all your instructions regarding security and locked doors. I stick strictly to your dog's regular feeding and bathroom schedules to keep their stress levels low while you are away, and I will always send you quick photo updates so you know everything is going smoothly.

About: I've grown up with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, so I've always been a huge animal lover! Along with caring for my own dogs, I've also fostered dogs and have experience pet sitting for others. Fostering has given me the opportunity to work with dogs of different backgrounds, personalities, and needs, and has taught me how important patience, attention, and making each dog feel comfortable can be. I know how much pets mean to their families, so I always treat every dog like they're my own. Whether it's going on walks, playing, giving lots of love and attention, or just keeping them company, I love making sure dogs are happy and well cared for. I understand that every dog is different, and I'm always happy to adjust to their individual routines and needs. My goal is to make sure both you and your pup feel comfortable and confident while you're away! I am currently a student at Colorado School of Mines. I am available on weekends and after 2pm on weekdays and after 5pm on Tuesdays! I am happy to adapt to your preference and your setup! I have had my own dogs and cats at both houses and apartments so whatever works for you!
About: I’ve always been the reliable and trustworthy friend to call when a pet or house needed sitting! I have 7+ years of experience with all types of pets. I have also gained experience through the other companies I’ve had the opportunity to work for. Like Out U Go dog walking company here in the Denver Metro area. And I currently work for Mac’s Pack a dog daycare also here in Denver. I would love the opportunity to ensure your pet is like my own when in my care whether it’s excercise, feeding, or simply some love!

About: I grew up in houses with dogs and have plenty of experience dog sitting as well as spending some time working at a doggy daycare. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs as well. I am currently working full time but have two days off of being completely free. Once school starts in the fall I will have three days to be able to stop by and care for your pet. I have experience with doing this while maintaining a full time job. I will let your pet come to me to get familiar and make sure they have the attention and time they need. I can handle multiple different food needs and keep track of each need. I will always take interaction at your pets pace to ensure that they are as comfortable as possible.
“Casey checked on Franklin for me late as I work overnight. She was super sweet and very informative even going out of her way to clean up a possible accident from him!!! I’d 100% recommend Casey and use her again!”

About: I’ve grown up with and have had 4 Great Danes throughout my life! I also regularly dog sit for a family friend, which includes an anxious dog with a specific diet, specific feeding times and medications! I’m currently working part time mornings, and will be available for overnight boarding at my home throughout the week! I provide a calm, homey environment and will plan my schedule around potty breaks, meals, and quality time. My boyfriend is the other occupant of our home! I live in an apartment complex with a park and trail directly across the street. My home is very quiet and calm, and I can be with them all day!
“We literally cannot thank Ginna enough for her effortless ability to care for our two kitties the way we do. We were gone for a long weekend for our wedding & normally we check in constantly. With Ginna, we didn’t have to. She followed our care sheets & sent updates throughout the stay that made us so comfortable, even when we weren’t able to communicate much because of how busy we were. We appreciate you so much, Ginna!”

“Sara communicated super well and sent me a lot of photos when she stopped in to check on my pups. It was a huge stress relief knowing they were being taken care of. Thank you!”

“Cal is amazing! I have a very shy kitty and Cal was so helpful while I was on vacation to find her when she hid extremely well. Cal did a great job with all aspects of caring for my cats and I feel so grateful. Thank you!!”
About: Hi! I am an avid pet lover and grew up with a big floofy dog in my household. I love to go for long walks or run (pending if doggo is capable). I am currently in nursing school so if not in class, I will be home studying and would love to have a companion by my side. I love going for long walks/run a few times a week and if able would love to take the dog along! I have school a few days a week in the morning but otherwise will be free to hang with a pet while studying or to pop in for a quick study break walk! While I do not offer sitting in my own home, I will ensure that everything is how it should while at your house and that the animal is properly cared for.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Pleasant View
Megan was great with my two cats. She sent detailed overviews of each visit, sent great (and funny) photos and made me feel safe leaving me kitten and senior cat that are still adapting to each other, in her care. I will definitely book her again to watch the kitties!

This is the second time Tyler has watched our dogs and they are happy and healthy as usual!! We are super grateful for someone who is so great with our dogs and always cares for them with the most love and attention!! He also always sends pictures - he only came over for a half day to hang out with them and keep them company and still took pictures and shared them with us!!
Victoria did an absolutely incredible job taking care of our three cats! She gave incredible updates and photos the entire time. She made sure to give all of our cats tons of love, play time, and attention. I couldn’t be more grateful for her service. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
