About: Dogs in our house are part of the family. We are a mother & son (age 14) combo with 2 dogs in the house (friendly, sweet spayed females). We have been loving and caring for dogs since we were both little, providing the best care for our price and will make your dog feel like it's at home! We have a fully fenced-in large yard and dog door. If you crate your dog, we have one in the house so that you don't have to bring yours. You can certainly bring your own dog bed, but we also have one that your pup can utilize. We also have stuffs, toys, leashes & bowls, so don't fret if you forget anything. Your furry-buddy is allowed to cuddle on the couch with us or wherever they find comfort. If the weather permits and your dog is accustomed to going to the dog park, they can join us on trips to play. We have both gone through dog training programs, most recently Ted Terroux. Clean house, well cared-for, loving home. ***** Please reach out if you need a date that shows as "unavailable" as we might be able to make a special accommodation for your dog & past clients. ***** As a teacher & student, we are on summer break and have lots of availability. During the school year, we work and go to school during the week. We are able to go home mid-day for potty breaks. Thus, we are able to board mid-week *if* your dog is COOL (plays well, non-destructive, low flight risk), and knows how to use a doggie door. We have a great record of caring for our dogs and we will be able to safely and reliably take care and keep your dog safe and happy in a comfortable and clean home. We typically feed our dogs in the morning and evening, but can accommodate your pups needs. Our home is very clean and well taken care of. There is a main level in which we hang out with great room, office and kitchen. The dogs have free-roam of the main level which has laminate flooring, but covered with carpet squares as one of our dogs does not like walking on hardwood floors. So, it is mostly carpeted for her comfort. We have a large sectional in which we allow dogs to snuggle with us while watching TV. The LARGE yard is mostly grass, some mulch/landscaped trees & shrubs, with concrete patio in which we spend a lot of time dining and reading. We pick up poop DAILY. During the evening, if you request your dog could be crated in the bedroom in which one of us is sleeping as dogs are pack animals and they don't like being separated from the pack. We keep them close to us. But, we want to keep everyone safe, so the crate is available (optional) for their safety as well as ours/our pets. But again, they are slumbering in the same room with us.

I have a big heart for animals of all breeds and personalities. I have over 50 volunteer hours working at my local animal shelter when I was in high school and many more hours spoiling my own pup. “I had a last-minute engagement come up with my son who was visiting from out of town, and since my dog, Stanley, suffers from separation anxiety and can no longer be left alone at my townhouse, I urgently needed to find care. I'm so grateful this gentleman was available on short notice to help out. Stanley has pretty severe anxiety—he tends to cry and whine when I’m gone, which has been frustrating and heartbreaking. We’ve been working closely with his vet and a trainer, trying everything from calming collars and thunder shirts to CBD, leaving an item of my clothing, and even having in-home sitters. Unfortunately, nothing has been a magic fix yet, but we’re continuing to try. That said, Stanley *loves* other people and dogs, and I was relieved to see he came home happy (and hungry!). They even kindly offered him some food when he didn’t want to eat his own, which I really appreciated. When my dinner reservation ran late, he was flexible and understanding about the pick-up time, which I also truly appreciated. Overall, a great experience, especially considering how last-minute and complex Stanley’s care can be. Thank you again!”

About: I’m Casey, a student at the Colorado School of Mines studying engineering physics. When I’m not hitting the books, I love going on walks, the occasional hike, and skiing during the winter. I also love baking and even keep a sourdough starter named JJ! I’ve had 5 pets growing up, starting with my first dog when I was just 2 years old, and 4 cats since then. Because I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, I know that every single pet has a wildly unique personality, and my favorite thing to do is figure out exactly what makes them tick. I’ve loved them all—from my lazy childhood dog Tucker, who was so passive he never growled no matter how hard you squeezed him , to my cat Lizzie, who had a resting grumpy face but was such a sweet lap cat that you simply couldn't move once she sat down. I am incredibly observant and patient with pets' specific needs. Back at home in Seattle, I have a timid senior cat, Josie, who has arthritis in her knees and only drinks from the faucet until her face is covered in water. I also have a playful "dog-cat" named Lucie who loves her boxes and begs to sit on the porch in the sun, and another cat named MeeMee who will chirp at you from across the room when she realizes she's alone. I'm currently doing research part time with flexible hours, so I'll have plenty of time to adjust to each pet's needs, whether that means a long walk/hike or some quick cuddles. Each pet is different and I'd love to learn what each one needs and make sure they get as much exercise or attention as desired.
