“William has been fantastic with Cleo. She’s pretty timid with males at first, but William has made quite the effort to make her feel calm. You can tell that he is such a natural with dogs!!! He’s punctual, great at communicating, and kind. Would definitely recommend him!!!!”

“Stella was amazing. I needed her in a pinch of a family emergency and she went above and beyond for me and my two dogs. My dogs are not keen to strangers and Stella took the time to come meet my dogs before hand and went the extra mile for me in multiple occasions I’m truly grateful for her and her care of my dogs that loved her. I will definitely be using her again and so thankful to find her.”

“Summerlyn was amazing she was so sweet and attentive to my little fur baby. She truly cares for your pet as her own. She was very communicative and left great feed back in the app. This helped keep me at ease while I was away from my pup. I was able to book her last minute too and she was so accommodating! Truly a joy to work with her. Will def book again! Highly recommend!”

About: We have been around dogs for a very long time. As a couple, my wife and I, got our first dog in our wedding trip. Since then, we could not live without at least one dog in the house. We owned an English Cocker Spaniel, an American Cocker Spaniel, a Lab mix, a Dachshund, an American yellow Lab. We currently own a chocolate merle American Cocker Spaniel. We also take care of cats. We are retired, and available at all times during the day to love and care for your dogs and cats. We are performing our duties seriously, without skipping over anything. We are extremely careful about dogs' and cats' safety. We have medical training and on walks / trips we carry a backpack with medical emergency supplies. We like to think ahead and be prepared for any situation.
About: I can’t imagine life without pets! I’ve always had several! I’ve seen puppy achievements to senior ailments and everything in between. No two are alike! I can administer medications, I have done this many times. Dogs and cats both. Yes, I have done the cat stages too!! Kittens to senior cats. Since I was 7 I’ve had one as my own. They are awesome unique creatures. I love them! As an adult I always have 2 🙂 I am not working outside of the home. Therefore my schedule allows me to be very flexible to allow for pet care! I’m available to stay with your pets during a housesit as much or as little as you prefer. I’m also flexible for drop-in care! I’m available during the week days which can be especially helpful for a puppy or senior pet ❤️ As I care for pets in your home I will keep them to the schedule you provide me. I will be sure they are fed on time and walked as you instruct me to and so forth. Keeping them as close to their normal routines is important for them to feel safe and happy. 😊 If your normal routine is “no routine” that’s great too!! I’ll do what makes you feel the best leaving your pet in my care.
About: I have cared for animals my entire life, growing up around a wide variety of pets and continuing that care into adulthood. From a young age I have house sat and watched animals from my own home over the past 30 years. My experience includes horses, dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, and lizards. I am comfortable with daily routines, individual personalities, and providing calm, attentive care to ensure each pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. My entire family loves animals and caring for them. They all contribute to loving and taking care of your furry family members. Special Skills & Care: Basic dog obedience training Bathing & basic grooming Leash walking & exercise Feeding & fresh water routines Administering basic care & monitoring health Experience with multiple animal types Calm, patient handling Following detailed care instructions Providing companionship & comfort Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I am home every day from 2:30 PM through 8:00 AM, which allows me to provide plenty of time, attention, and supervision for boarding pets. During this time, pets receive regular playtime, walks, and lots of affection and snuggles. On weekends, I am home full-time, with only occasional errands, ensuring pets are rarely left alone. I enjoy making animals part of my daily routine and prioritizing their comfort, safety, and happiness while in my care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I tailor care to each dog’s individual needs and routine. I have a good sized backyard with 6-foot privacy fence for secure outdoor play, with water and yard access available 24/7. Dogs are always supervised while outside. Inside my home, dogs are treated like family and are welcome anywhere I am. If your dog is crate-trained or prefers their own space, I’m happy to crate when I’m not home or follow your normal routine. At night, dogs will sleep in a kennel or in a room with me, depending on what makes them most comfortable. I have other friendly pups who love to play, but I always introduce dogs slowly and can keep pets separated if your dog prefers one-on-one attention. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, or somewhere in between, I adjust care to match their personality and needs. I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own—providing a safe, loving, and structured environment so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾
“Amber has done a great job with our pups so far! They both seem very happy when we get home, we look forward to growing our relationship with her and her family. Thank you Amber!”

“Don was amazing with my pup! He gave a great experience of adventure to her and I really loved that. He worked with her while she was with him and I love that also. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
