Emily was amazing! Able to help out in a pinch, did a meet and greet same day as my initial request! My dog loved cuddling with her and she gave him all the special treats he loves! Will definitely call her for future dog sitting and walking!!

About: I grew up taking care of dogs and absolutely love them. Our pets are a part of our family. I think they should be loved and cared for while their owners are away and not put into a cage for the weekend. This causes stress and anxiety! Why should we be having all of the fun our pets deserve a normal weekend while we are away! I enjoy being outside and taking our dogs for walks and playing fetch! I also enjoy just snuggling up with our pup and watching a movie! I will take care of your dog like it is my own so you can have fun and not worry while you're on vacation! I am dependable and honest. Call me for your next vacation!

About: Your dog gets a half-acre fenced yard on two acres, and a gate that opens straight onto open space and trail. No loading up in a car to find a walk, we step out the door and go. For a big dog with a real engine, that’s the whole difference. I have two labs of my own, a male and a female, both social and easy, so your dog has company and a pack to fall into rather than a crate and a quiet house. I’ve been boarding for friends and neighbors for 10, and I know what a bored 70-pound dog does to a living room, which is why exercise comes first here, not as a bonus. Good fit for: large breeds, working and sporting dogs, adolescents with too much energy, dogs who don’t do well kenneled. Not a good fit for: dogs who can’t be around other dogs, or who need to be kept separate. I’d rather say that up front than have anyone spend a bad weekend. I also offer dog walking and drop-in visits for locals who’d rather keep their dog at home. Same approach, a walk here means actual miles on real terrain, not fifteen minutes on pavement. Daily photos and a note, usually from somewhere on the trail. I work from home, so dogs aren’t alone for long stretches, I’m here through the day and the routine is built around that. Mornings start with a walk on the trail behind the house before I sit down to work. I leave the doors open so that dogs are able to go in and out of the fenced yard through the day while I’m at my desk, with a midday break for a longer outing. Late afternoon is the real hike, when my two labs go out and your dog goes with them. Evenings are quiet, everyone’s tired by then, which is the point. I do take calls during the day, so there are stretches where I’m at my desk rather than actively playing, but the dogs are with me, not shut away. Weekends are more of the same with longer hikes and no calls Containment: My yard is a half-acre fully fenced, on two acres backing to open space. Gates stay latched and I check them before any dog goes out. Dogs are never off-leash on the open space unless the owner has confirmed reliable recall and I’ve seen it myself on a long line first, otherwise we hike on leash, every time. In the house: Dogs are loose in the main living area with me and my two labs, not confined to a garage or basement. I have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or you’d prefer it, and I’m happy to keep whatever routine they already have. New dogs and mine are introduced outside on neutral ground before anyone comes in the house. Requirements: Up to date on rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella. I ask for your vet’s contact and a backup person who can make decisions if I can’t reach you. Wildlife: We’re in the foothills, so coyotes, bears, and mountain lions are part of the landscape. Dogs go out into the fenced yard supervised, not unattended, and I don’t leave food or water bowls outside. Nobody is out in the yard alone at dawn or dusk. If something goes wrong: I’ll call you first, but I won’t wait on a callback to get a dog treated. My work is in wildfire and emergency planning, so I keep an evacuation plan for my own dogs including crates, leashes, records, and a go-bag ready and any boarding dog is included in it if there is an emergency.

Stella was amazing. I needed her in a pinch of a family emergency and she went above and beyond for me and my two dogs. My dogs are not keen to strangers and Stella took the time to come meet my dogs before hand and went the extra mile for me in multiple occasions I’m truly grateful for her and her care of my dogs that loved her. I will definitely be using her again and so thankful to find her.

Shawna was able to give Einstein and Hercules a walk with very short notice. She took care of the mutts and gave them plenty of relief. To boot, it sounds like she's going to be their new groomer. We're truly hoping that works out, as it's been difficult finding a good Havanese groomer since we moved to CO.

Melissa walked my pup multiple times/day over a couple of long work days and she was wonderful! Her communication was clear, she offered to meet my dog ahead of time, and I felt super comfortable trusting my pup with her. I'd definitely recommend, and will be using her services again in the future!

About: I've been a devoted dog lover since childhood when my mom would take in strays and rescues from the streets. I helped groom, train, love, and care for these sweet souls. Today, I work as a part-time substitute school teacher but find that I need more four footed companionship and outside time in my life, so I'd love to be your go to dog walker on my days off. I've always helped my friends and neighbors with their dogs (walking or pet sitting), and I'm good big dogs and little dogs. With 20+ years of teaching experience, you know that I have oodles of patience and consistency to rely on, and lots of caring and affection to give. Please let me help you give your pets the care and attention that they need when you're at work or on vacation! I'm working part time as a substitute teacher--this means that I generally work 3 days a week, and am often home by 3:30. I have afternoons available for longer walks and play-time. I am not able to board dogs in my own home, but in your home I can make sure that your dog or cat has the kind of love and care that they are used to whether they are an inside dog or outside. Walking is one of my favorite activities so I'm there to make sure that you're dog and myself are getting the exercise we need!

About: Hi there! I'm Kat and I am looking to do some pet care! I am an animal lover at heart, and I know how hard it can be to find care for fur babies. I can do dog sitting for dogs of all ages and needs. For boarding, all I ask is that your dog is friendly so that they get along with mine. I have a 5 year old lab-great dane mix, and he is such a gentle giant. For sitting, I am happy to come to you! For walking, I can walk dogs of all ages and needs, and am happy to also take your dog for a run! Available any day, any time. I am a teacher and am currently on summer break, so I am free most of the time! Once school starts, my schedule will change a bit. For boarding in my home, I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks. I also make sure to walk my dog everyday at least once a day, and would do the same for you!

Michelle was an absolute win for Aum. She was stoked to be walked by her. She loved her mid day walks & companionship during my longer work days. Michelle brought attentiveness, patience, & thoughtful handling to every walk, and it showed in Aum’s demeanor. I had full confidence in the care & attention she provided. Would gladly book with her again & highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, intuitive care. Thank you so much Michelle!

About: I’ve always had a love for animals, especially dogs. I am extremely detail-oriented and respectful of any of all requests! I’ve grown up being the “crazy dog friend” and have always been a go-to for any dog sitting! I spent this whole summer dog sitting my Uncle’s Labrador retriever puppy. Everyday I went over, took her for a walk, played a little and made sure she had water/was fed. While there I also taught her some tricks! During college I would also go to the humane society and walk the dogs every week and give them some love and attention. I’d love the opportunity to meet as many doggos as possible, what an awesome job!❤️ I also am a graphic designer, so I've been drawing pet portraits for the past few years after I found myself missing that connection during quarantine! Feel free to request one and you can check out my previous work on my instagram lilianacaceresdesigns or website lilianacaceres. com /work-1/petportraits I’m currently not working therefore have a lot of time on my hands to help other doggo parents out! I know how hard it can be to make sure your pet has the best and most loving care when you are unable to be there. I’m right in the heart of Boulder so I have easy access to the whole city! I am very detail-oriented, so when it comes to a pet that has specific needs I am very on top of it! I have dog sat for friends and family over the past few years and will respect any and all requests!

About: I have experience caring for and loving on dogs, cats, turtles, birds.. you name it.. for about 22 years. I grew up with a mother who worked in a pet store, so caring for pets of all shapes and sizes has always been the name of the game! Animals (especially dogs!) have always been a priority and giving them the utmost care and attention is perhaps one of my favorite activities. I’d love to be a part of your pet’s life! I work for myself as an artist and yoga instructor and set my own schedule - so I can be completely available for whatever your babe’s needs are! I have two very friendly dogs that would love to keep your dog company, however, I am able to come to your home and stay, as well if that is what you would feel is best for your dogs or cats.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
