A home away from home

*** Please review my profile before submitting a booking request. *** We have been offering Rover sitting services since 2016. With the high volume of requests and our loyal client base, we had to change our service to “private” on Rover to remain loyal to our Rover clients over the past few years. Unfortunately, our longtime, loyal dogs client has grown older and has passed away. Some of the dogs and their families moved away, so our slots have opened up (summer/fall of 2026) to the public like you, and you can reach out for dog care. About me/my family & what to expect: I am passionate about pets and welcome your furry family members. With years of pet-sitting experience, I look forward to meeting new dogs. As a work-at-home mother, I am home most of the day to provide attentive care for your dog. Your dog will have playtime in our backyard, go on neighborhood walks, and join us on hikes nearby. I often care for multiple dogs, so your pet may socialize. We have three dogs: Jeter (14-year-old Jack Russell/Beagle Mix), Ridge (3-year-old Border Collie), and Rocky (3-year-old Border Collie). My husband and three children (ages 14, 16, and 22—they are here for holidays and summer) also help care for the pets. We have experience with all types of dogs, including seniors needing extra comfort. In our home, your dog will be treated as part of the family and surrounded by our three dogs in a caring environment. We provide a safe, warm environment for your dog (s) to stay with us. Our home is their second home, our family is their second family. We treat every dog as if they are ours. We provide plenty of love, care, and attention. Your dog will get plenty of workout, rest in between, enjoy plenty of backyard time, and run around with other dogs. We look forward to caring for your dog while you are away.

Carmel is the absolute best. I never worry about leaving my dog with her. She is knowledgeable, caring, and really spoils my dog in the best way

Great communication and I loved all of the photos she took. Our dog had an amazing day playing with the other dogs. She came home happy and exhausted.

Carmel and her family are amazing! Our little Garbanzo just loves staying with them, he has the best time and always comes home pooped from all the fun play time. It is so nice to know that our fur baby is so well cared for and loved while we are away.

Safety, trust & environment

We provide a safe, protected home environment with a fenced yard and wood floors. There are many caring hands available for petting and playing fetch. Fresh water is available in bowls all day long, along with plenty of treats and clean toys. We also offer creative activities, such as water play on hot days, to keep them entertained.

Pets

A typical day

We usually take our dogs for walks around our neighborhood or hiking in the mountains, such as Mt. Falcon and the Evergreen Three Sisters trails, as well as other nearby trails. There's also a wonderful open space at Ferhinger Park where I occasionally take the dogs for a walk. The best part is that our "backyard" is Bear Creek Park. We are within walking distance of it, and we often take the dogs to Bear Creek Park for a walk, especially at sunset. With the small-sized dogs, don’t be surprised, I would take them for a ride in my dog backpack around Bear Creek.

We cannot accept large dogs over 100 pounds due to our dog's anxiety issues. Our senior dog cannot handle being around big dogs because of a previous experience before being adopted.
