âJen was great with Joshua! She sent updates throughout the day and was very accommodating with my drop off and pick up times. My dog seems very happy after his visit there. Also very convenient location for a ski day when coming from Denver area.â

About: I am a stay-at-home mama in the Genesee area. I have two wonderful boys aged seven and nine who love animals! We love cuddling with sweet fur babies and love getting outside for energetic ones too! My boys will occasionally be helping me with dog walking, feeding, petting, and loving on your pet(s)! We just added Minnie the puppy to our family and would love playmates who play well with others! We have a large beautiful unfenced yard and then a small dog run with a doggie door. I currently am a stay at home mom and my husband works from home so someone is usually here all the time to care for your fur children! I will make sure your fur baby is as comfortable as possible. I would love to hear all about their needs to make sure they love my home like their own!
âThey took such great care of Jazzie so I could explore Denver without having to worry about her. Will use them again the next time I am in Denver. Jazzie is an anxious dog and felt right at home with them.â

âAce had a great day hanging out with Sydney. He was happy as could be when I picked him up and tired out enough that he slept most of the 2 hour drive home. Would definitely recommend Sydney.â

âAlexandra was amazing! She responded so quick when I was in a pinch to find daycare for my boys and accepted my request on short notice. She kept me updated throughout the day and included pictures with the updates. My boys had a blast spending the day with her cute pups! Highly recommend booking with her :)â
âJenna was an absolutely wonderful host! I booked two days of daycare in her home, and my pup came back happy and tired each time. She is incredibly caring, patient, and understanding of my dogâs unique needs and personality quirks. I donât easily trust others with my pup, but Jennaâs consistent communication, timeliness, thoughtful updates, and genuine interest in learning about my dogâs training went above and beyond. I highly recommend her!â

âThese guys are the best dog sitters ever! Thank you so much. You've made my life so much easier and my dog feel so loved. I don't stress at all when I know she's in your loving hands.â

âOur sweet Gus had an awesome time with Cory and his pups! Gus ran right up to Cory and didnât even look back on his way insideâCory is clearly wonderful with dogs. Gus came home tired and happy after his first day of daycare!â

âOur dog loves to stay with Carmel while we are at work. She comes home happy and calm after playing all day. We get great photos and a fast response from Carmel. The dogs have room to run and to rest.â

âKira took great care of our dog who has some separation anxiety issues. Her gentle understanding enabled Brody to feel comfortable. He loved playing with her dog, Obie. We appreciated the photos and updates that let us know Brody was adjusting well to her home. We highly recommend her and would use her services again when we are back in Golden. Nancyâ

âAmelia is amazing! I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. She sent me a video and picture updates throughout the day. Willow came home a very happy pup and we will be coming back. Thanks Amelia for your kindness!â

âArkasha had a great time with Jake and Cheyenne and I would highly recommend them (unless you are booking when Arkasha wants to go back). Excellent communication and they took great care of Arkasha when a few fireworks went off in the neighborhood. Great experienceâ

âRed was both friendly and welcoming which made it easier to leave our dogs with her. She sent pictures throughout the day of our two happy dogs and it gave of peace of mind.â

âSehwa and Adam were so great! Our Nova seemed to love them and they sent updates throughout her day. They were very understanding when we had to postpone for a day due to changing work schedule and when Nova had an accident. This was our first time using Rover so Nova was probably a little extra nervous but they were so nice about it. I would highly recommend Sehwa and Adam, and would love to use them again in the future :)â

âMy 3 month old puppy Bella loved her drop-in stays with Janet! Janet has a great space for dogs including a huge backyard so the pups can safely play all day. I enjoyed the pics and videos she sent of Bella throughout the day and look forward to working with her again in the future!â

âAbsolute best for our new pup! She kept us informed and took many pictures when we were gone for the day. Will be using her again in the future ? amazing job!â

âVictoria was absolutely incredible with my dogs! Both of my pups have special needsâone wears a diaper and the other has limited mobility in her back legsâwhich can honestly be a lot to manage. But Victoria handled everything with so much patience, care, and genuine affection. She didnât just meet their physical needs; she went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I could tell she was attentive and truly present with them throughout the day. Itâs such a relief to find someone who not only understands the extra care required but embraces it with a kind heart. I canât recommend her enough!â

âThey were very flexible and accommodating of our schedule, they kept us updated with pictures as to how tony was doing throughout the day, and he was nice and tired when we got home. Exactly what we were looking for. We will be using them again for sure!â

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your petâwhether thatâs early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Genesee commute.
If your schedule changes, itâs best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dogâs fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0â7 kilograms and/or 7â18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pupâs socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dogâs pack, check the sitterâs profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dogâs vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitterâs care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
